Chapter 19: The Sorting Crematorium

Professor McGonagall gently placed a four-legged stool in front of the first-year freshman, and then placed a wizard's hat on the stool.

The hat was patched, worn out, and dirty. Rolf panicked at the thought of putting him on his head for a moment.

The people in the restaurant were staring at the hat, silent.

Then, the hat twisted. The brim of the hat cracked a wide slit like a mouth—and the hat began to sing: "You may think I'm not pretty,

But don't judge people by their appearance, if you can find a more beautiful hat than mine, I can eat myself......"

After the hat was sung, the audience applauded, and the magic hat bowed to the four tables one by one, and then stood still.

"So, all we have to do is put this hat on?" Malfoy asked as he crept closer to Rolf.

Rolf nodded, and gave him a reassuring look.

Professor McGonagall took a few steps forward, a roll of parchment in her hand. "Whoever I call by name will put on his hat and sit on a stool and wait for the Sorting House. She said.

"Hannah Abbott!" A ruddy-faced little girl with two blonde braids stumbled out of the queue and put on a hat that just covered her eyes.

Rolf complained in his heart: Sure enough, it was the protagonist of flowing water, the iron-beaten Hannah, and he didn't expect that there would be a day when he would become flowing water.

She sat down, the Sorting Hat pausing for a moment, "Hufflepuff!" The hat shouted.

Then the people at the table on the right were heard clapping and cheering for Hannah, welcoming her to their table, and Rolf saw the ghost of the fat friar waving to her with joy.

About halfway through the sorting ceremony, it was Rolf's turn, "Rolf Scamander!" he sat down in his chair and put on his sorting hat.

The Sorting Hat wriggled around his head, "It's interesting, pure wizard blood, a lot of knowledge, a little brave, and a lot of talent. The Sorting Hat muttered to himself.

"Hufflepuff!" Before Rolf could react, the Sorting Hat shouted, isn't it true that the protagonist doesn't have so many shots?

Although you are a Hufflepuff ancestor, but you have talked so much nonsense before, what's the point?

Many people may think that Hufflepuff is the remnants of the other three houses, or a gathering place for ungifted young wizards.

If you really think so, you are very wrong, in fact, Rolf's favorite house is Hufflepuff, and Rowling once said that her favorite is Hufflepuff.

It's not that they like the house because of Cedric's handsomeness in the movie, but because the Hufflepuff students really do what Hufflepuff has set them up for: loyalty and kindness.

Looking at the four houses, there are Slytherins filled with Death Eaters, and Gryffindors with wormtails.

and Quirrell, Lockhart, Rita Skeeter, and Umbridge who were sitting in the teacher's seat, all of whom were from Ravenclaw.

But Hufflepuff doesn't have a single villain, at least not mentioned in the original books or various spin-offs.

Hufflepuff has some of Hogwarts' best students, such as Cedric, who was chosen by the Goblet of Fire, and Newt, who faced the Dark Lord of the first generation.

Of course, maybe Rolf Scamander's name will be added to the Hufflepuff celebrity alumni in the future!

So in Rolf's mind, getting into Hufflepuff is not a humiliation, but something to brag about.

The cheers and applause at the Hufflepuff table were louder than ever, and Rolf placed the Sorting Hat in his chair and headed down the steps.

And the rest are no different, the trio of Slytherin's Malfoy, Gryffindor.

He was somewhat amused to see Malfoy sitting at the Slytherin table looking at him.

This Malfoy didn't fight Harry Potter, so how can the plot be written after that? It's good that I'm not in Gryffindor, otherwise I'd sweat for the author.

Albus Dumbledore stood up. He looked at the students with a smile on his face and stretched out his arms to them, as if nothing made him happier than seeing the students come together.

"Welcome!" He said, "Welcome to Hogwarts to start the new school year!" I would like to say a few words before the banquet begins.

That's it: stupid, crying nose, dregs, screwing!" Thank you!" He sat back down. Everyone applauded and cheered.

Rumor has it that the rearrangement of these words is welcome to Hogwarts, while others say that these four words represent the four houses.

But after watching the clip of Voldemort rearranging his name in the Chamber of Secrets, Rolf felt that the welcome statement was more likely?

After dinner, Dumbledore reminded the first-year wizards of some precautions and to stay away from the corridor on the right side of the fourth floor.

Then the opening dinner ended with a jagged school song, and many young wizards were put back in the dormitory to rest.

The first-year Hufflepuff freshmen followed the prefect through the noisy crowd and out of the cafeteria towards the kitchen.

Originally, I thought that the prefect would be Cedric's, but I thought that Cedric was only in the third year, so it was unlikely that it would be him.

The prefect led them to a stop next to a large oil painting, which depicted a silver bowl filled with fruit.

Rolf could tell at a glance that the green pear in the bowl above was the entrance to the kitchen.

But the Hufflepuff lounge is clearly not here!

The prefect led them to a pile of large barrels, and then, in the middle of the second row, found a barrel that was leaning down.

An unknown rhythm was heard, and when the rank chief stopped, the barrel turned into a passage for one person to pass through.

Once they had all climbed through the holes in the wall, they found themselves in the Hufflepuff common room.

It is a cosy circular room filled with yellow and fluffy armchairs that make it feel very warm.

At this time, the prefect spoke: "Our Hufflepuff password will never change, so please remember the frequency just now, it is the rhythm of 'Helga Hufflepuff'!"

The Hufflepuff lounge is underground, but magically, there's a skylight that lets sunlight in.

Should it be said that it is the birthplace of the master of herbology? Neither the earth nor the sun is missing.

And in addition to the yellow color on the house badge, the Hufflepuff lounge is also full of greenery.

I don't know if I can grow magic plants on the farm, and I will sneak around and try one or two when I take a herb class.

I'm such a mediocre empty glove white wolf little genius!

Rolf found his quarters: five beds with four strands, draped with bright yellow flannel curtains.

The roommates were already exhausted and didn't want to talk any more, so they changed into pajamas and fell asleep.

Looking at the new surroundings, although Rolf was already very tired, he still practiced meditation first.

It's just that in order to prevent the exhaust gas from refining his body for a while and causing discomfort to others, Rolf secretly chose to hide in the bathroom to cultivate.
