Chapter 240: The Pavilion of the Scriptures
In fact, the monk was originally walking behind Xiao Rui, but as he walked, he gradually overtook Xiao Rui and walked in front of Xiao Rui.78xs.
Originally, being overtaken on the road was nothing. But when this monk walked past Xiao Rui, Xiao Rui didn't feel the fluctuation of the monk's strength at all.
To say that this monk has not practiced, Xiao Rui will definitely not believe it. Because when the monk approached from behind, Xiao Rui didn't notice it at first!
With Xiao Rui's current cultivation, someone who approached must have been able to sense it a long time ago. But the monk walked until he was only a dozen meters away from Xiao Rui, and Xiao Rui suddenly felt it. At that time, Xiao Rui was taken aback, if this person was unfavorable to Xiao Rui's premeditation, then Xiao Rui would have nowhere to hide.
Fortunately, the monk just walked past Xiao Rui with his head bowed, and he didn't even look at Xiao Rui. And after the monk walked over, Xiao Rui found that the monk's walking speed was not very fast, but the distance of each step was indeed very close. It's like measuring with a ruler.
Although the pace of his steps is not fast, every step he takes is more than two steps of ordinary people! But I can't see how hard he works, every step is so natural, like a walk.
Xiao Rui naturally saw that this monk was not ordinary, and when he saw that this monk had surpassed himself in a leisurely stroll, he couldn't help but feel a sense of arrogance in his heart, and his feet gradually strengthened, and he actually wanted to compare his foot strength with this monk.
As soon as his form activated, the monk seemed to feel it immediately. But he didn't look back, he still walked leisurely, but the speed under his feet was getting faster and faster, but he still couldn't see the urgency.
Xiao Rui followed behind, not in a hurry, but kept a certain distance from the monk and kept following. Originally, the purpose of his journey was the West, but the specific location was not clear, but now that he met a strange person, his curiosity was great, so he did not hesitate to follow the competition.
The two of them went one after the other, and neither of them spoke, but the speed was getting faster and faster. The monk also seemed to know that no matter how fast he accelerated, he couldn't get rid of Xiao Rui, but he kept hurrying.
Don't look at these two people just walking, but the requirements for cultivation are not low at all. Because the two of them traveled all the way, it was three days and two nights!
Xiao Rui didn't know exactly how far he had gone, but he could see that the monk in front of him must not have done his best. Of course, Xiao Rui himself also has spare energy.
When it was almost noon on the third day, the monk turned and walked up a high mountain, and when he was halfway up the mountain, a monastery appeared in front of him.
On the way west, Xiao Rui also had a general understanding of the buildings here, and when he saw this temple, he knew that this monk should be home.
However, the monk did not enter the door, but stopped at the door, turned around and watched Xiao Rui approach, and then put his hands together and said, "Amitabha, the donor is really good." The little monk is empty, and the donor doesn't know if he can sit with the little monk?"
Xiao Rui saw that the monk had good facial features, a kind face, and was about forty years old. But he calls himself a little monk, but he doesn't look like it. However, he didn't feel the aura of danger from his body, so he nodded and said, "In Xia Xiaorui, I'm disturbed." With that, he walked into the temple.
The monk followed Xiao Rui's side and walked in. However, when he walked, he took the initiative to introduce Xiao Rui to the various buildings and Buddha statues in this temple.
This temple is built on the mountainside, the courtyard is not very big, but the interior is full of halls, first of all, the gate of this temple is composed of three gates, the middle one is slightly larger, and there is a slightly smaller gate on each side, this is the mountain gate, or called the three gate halls.
Entering the mountain gate, there is a palace in front of you, although this hall is a cornice and arch, the atmosphere is brilliant, but it looks very simple, giving people a feeling of heaviness. The plaque on the lintel is written with the three big characters of "Tianwang Palace".
There is a Buddha statue in the store, this Buddha statue has big ears, fat body, the most conspicuous thing is the big mouth that cracks open with a smile, and the huge belly, which is the Maitreya Buddha who is always smiling.
Behind the Maitreya Buddha stood a statue of Buddha, facing north, holding a demon-descending pestle, but it was Wei Dao Bodhisattva. There are also four Buddha statues standing on both sides of the main hall, which are the four heavenly kings. On the east and west sides of the hall are bell towers and drum towers.
Go around the Heavenly King Palace, and then go back, there is the Daxiong Treasure Palace. This hall is commonly known as the "main hall", and it is also the main hall and main hall of this temple.
There are three Buddha statues enshrined in the main hall, and the Buddha statue in the middle has curly hair, large earlobe wheels, and a nose like a hanging gall. Sitting cross-legged, with the left hand on the left foot, and the thumb and index finger of the right hand interlocked, forming a Dharma seal, it is Shakyamuni Buddha.
The Buddha statue on the left side of Shakyamuni Buddha holds a bowl in his left hand, which means that there is nectar in it, and a pill in his right hand. To the right of Shakyamuni Buddha is Amitabha Buddha.
On both sides of the main hall are also enshrined nine Arhat Buddhas, a total of eighteen Arhats. Behind the altar stands Guanyin Bodhisattva, holding a net bottle in his left hand and a willow branch in his right hand, standing between the mountains and seas of Putuoluo.
On the east side of the Daxiong Hall is the Garan Hall, which contains 18 Garan gods, also the god of protecting the temple. The west side is the patriarch's hall, and the middle of it is the first ancestor of Zen Buddhism who came to the Chinese mainland to preach the scriptures - Bodhidharma. On the left is Bodhidharma's five-setter ** Huineng, and on the right is Huineng's three-setter **Huaihai.
At the back of the main hall is the Kannon Hall, which houses the Kannon Bodhisattva. On both sides of the Kannon Hall are the halls and meditation halls. Behind it is the temple's scripture pavilion, as well as the abbot's room on the east and west sides.
Xiao Rui walked all the way from the mountain gate to the front of the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion at the back with the clear space, listening to the explanation of the clear space all the way, although he had a general understanding of this temple, but there was one thing that made Xiao Rui puzzled, that is, except for the two of them, there was no one in this temple!
Although this thing is strange, but the clear space does not seem to be aware at all, every time he goes to a hall, he explains to Xiao Rui in detail, not only explaining the respective identities of these Buddha statues, but also some legends of these Buddha statues, all told Xiao Rui.
After explaining this way, although the two of them kept at their feet, when they came to the front of the Scripture Pavilion, the sky was about to get dark.
Jingkong was not in a hurry at all, reached out and took out a bunch of keys from his waist, walked directly to the Scripture Pavilion, opened the door lock, pushed the door and walked in. When he was at the door, he turned around and made a gesture to Xiao Rui to invite him in.
Xiao Rui saw the action of the clear air, and he actually invited himself to enter the Scripture Pavilion, and he felt strange in his heart. Because from the name of this scripture pavilion, it can be seen that this is supposed to be the place where the temple stores scriptures.
Since the last Tibetan character is used, it means that the things here are very precious and cannot be easily displayed. If it is an acquaintance, it may be possible to save face and take out one or two books to read. But Xiao Rui and this clear space don't know each other at all, let alone be familiar with it!
But now this clear space is directly opening the door of the Scripture Pavilion and inviting Xiao Rui in, could it be that this Scripture Pavilion is going to be open to Xiao Rui? But why is this? What is the premeditated plan in this?
Xiao Rui's heart was full of doubts, but his feet did not stop at all, and he walked in with the clear space. Because he could feel that there was no breath of life in this scripture pavilion. In other words, there can't be anyone hiding or ambushing here.
And Xiao Rui can also see from the body of the clear space that if the clear space wants to assassinate himself, he can still get out of the whole body. Since there is no danger to life, why not go and take a look!
The two walked into the Scripture Pavilion, although the sky outside was slightly dark now, and the light inside the room was dim, but it did not affect Xiao Rui's observation at all. And the clearance is even more familiar here, there is no need to light the lights at all, and the two of them still won't bump into things here.
Jingkong took Xiao Rui to the row of bookshelves in the middle, and then said: "Master Xiao, although you can read the scriptures on this row of bookshelves, you can't take them out." After speaking, he stopped talking, but walked sideways past Xiao Rui, walked out of the Scripture Pavilion directly, and closed the door from the outside!
Xiao Rui had already adapted to the light inside at this time, and looked up at the scriptures on the shelf, but a curiosity rose in his heart.
At this time, Xiao Rui had already figured out one thing, that is, this clear space must have some understanding of himself, otherwise it would be impossible to bring himself directly into the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion like this, and he was so relieved and bold to let himself read the scriptures here!
Since the last time he came into contact with Qingfeng's master in that valley, Xiao Rui has had a new understanding of the masters of this Huaxia Continent, that is, he knows more things than you think!
Although I come from another level, the people here don't seem to take it seriously at all. Although they didn't make much trouble, these people still knew some of their own situation. But how do they know about these things?
Also, these people seem to be helping themselves! I don't know what their purpose is, but it's obvious that they're helping themselves. Do they know that they are from another level of people, and they use this as a way of hospitality?
No, Xiao Rui quickly vetoed his own idea. But that's not the case, so what's the reason? After thinking about it for a long time, Xiao Rui didn't come up with a clue.
Shaking his head, Xiao Rui put aside all distractions, reached out and took a scripture book from the shelf, and flipped through it. This scripture is very thin, and most of the things in it are about human beings and teaching people to be good.
I read a few books casually and found that the contents were all similar. However, Xiao Rui also saw a lot of touching stories from them, and from these stories, Xiao Rui also saw that as a believer in Buddhism, he can indeed sacrifice himself for others.
Although the content of these scriptures is similar, it seems that it is of little use to Xiao Rui except for learning more about the experience and teachings of Buddhism.
But since Jingkong has brought himself to this Tibetan Scripture Pavilion, Xiao Rui believes that he must not only let himself know more about Buddhism.
Thinking of this, Xiao Rui put up with his surname and continued to take the scriptures from the bookshelf and look at them. After reading about a dozen books, Xiao Rui finally saw a book with a map.
This book is not a scripture, but a boxing book. It's just that the content of this boxing book is a bit too pediatric for Xiao Rui, because this is a beginner's basic boxing book.
But seeing this, it still made Xiao Rui feel a little novel, it seems that this is really not just a scripture! )
