After the Buddha and his disciples finished cleaning, they went into the cafeteria and sat down.

The Buddha told the bhikshus, "Whoever sweeps the earth has five special qualities: one is pure in his own heart, two is pure in his heart, three is in the heavens for joy, four is for good karma, and five is born in heaven at the end of his life." ”

When Li Ye heard this, he folded his hands and exclaimed: "I see, thank you for solving your disciples' doubts." ”

The old monk looked at him and smiled, ignored it, and continued to say,

"The Buddha taught the world by example, but later generations have a narrow understanding of these merits, thinking that as long as the monastery is cleaned, there will be five kinds of merits. ”

"Isn't it?" asked Li Ye.

The old monk shook his head.

"Actually, it's not, your master didn't teach you by example yesterday, telling you not only to pick up fallen leaves on the ground, but also to pick up fallen leaves on your heart, so as not to make the Buddha's heart dusty. ”

"Later, if you don't sweep a courtyard, why can you sweep a temple, and if you don't sweep a house, how can you sweep the world. These are all things to tell you that you can do not only in the Great Buddha Temple, but also in the world. ”

When Li Ye heard this, he suddenly realized, nodded and said, "It turns out that the master and the master are talking about the same truth. ”

"The principle of the Dharma is accessible, and after the Dharma is attained, it is the Dharma of the world, and if you can practice in the temple until you see the Buddha nature clearly, you will not let the Sacred Heart be dusted when you enter the world in the future. ”

Li Ye bowed down and bowed again, and said, "May I ask my uncle, what is the clear seeing of Buddha nature?"

The old monk smiled and said: "Seeing Buddha nature is still very far away for you at present, and the sutras such as "Great Nirvana Sutra", "Fang and Other Prajna Sutra", "Great Compassion Sutra", ......"Lotus Face Sutra", etc., all mention seeing Buddha nature, but in the end they lead to the supreme Mahayana classic "Great Nirvana Sutra". ”

These scriptures were like heavenly books to Li Ye, who just nodded subconsciously and was silent.

"To achieve the clear view of the Buddha-nature, the abandonment or fixed phase is: it can eliminate all afflictions and causes, second, it can reconcile all the root evils and ungood causes, third, it can make the three karmas become silent, fourth, it can make sentient beings get rid of the five desires, and the mountains can clear greed, hatred, and ignorance, and the three turbidity causes. ”

When the old monk heard this, he clasped his hands together, and exclaimed excitedly: "I can't imagine that you can have some adventures, there is no collection in the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion in this temple, if you copy and offer, it is the supreme merit, there is no Amitabha Buddha in the south, good and good." ”

Li Ye said: "If it is a blank scripture in the temple, the disciple will start copying it tomorrow." ”

"If you want to copy the scriptures, do you want to tell the priest to tell the hall and let them arrange for someone else to temporarily do your many chores, so that you can calm down and copy the scriptures?"

The old monk frowned slightly, thinking that he had obtained the scriptures copied by Li Ye earlier.

Li Ye clasped his hands together and hurriedly said: "Master Uncle must not, the disciple has just swept the courtyard for three days, wouldn't it be a matter of stopping to make the senior brothers in the temple laugh at me for fishing for three days and drying nets for two days!"

The old monk looked at him and smiled.

"The disciples will do their homework and carefully copy the scriptures, and strive to make offerings to the Tibetan Pavilion as soon as possible. ”

"Later, when I practiced with my husband, he asked me to practice swordsmanship by copying the Dharma, and now the two outer stone walls on the Tianshan Mountains are still completely carved with the entire scriptures of the Jizo Sutra and the Lotus Sutra. ”

The old monk shook his head and said: "There is a sequence of hearing the Tao, and there is no time to enter the Tao. When you are lost, you are a teacher, and when you are enlightened. You only need to practice for a few more years, and when you come back from the back of the square inch, maybe I and the Kuzen disciples will be waiting for you to come to the transformation. ”

"The disciple is terrified!"

"You don't have to be humble, you have already cultivated the "Phaseless Dharma Body" to the Five Realms, and at this time there is already a Buddha with you, and when you have to cultivate the "Phaseless Dharma Body" from Fangcun Mountain to perfection, you may have become a Buddha on the ground. ”

After speaking, the old monk stood up straight, went to the cabinet in front of the Buddha platform, took out three blank scriptures, and handed them to Li Ye.

"Transcribe in my spare time, the coming day is long, I can afford to wait. ”

Li Ye took it with both hands and said, "The disciple will carefully transcribe the scriptures and strive to offer the scriptures to the master as soon as possible." ”
