Chapter Ninety-Three: Lingyuan Mountain

Lingyuan Mountain is a famous mountain in Quannan, because there is a clear spring gushing in the mountain from time to time, and it is named after the mountain that flows back to the bottom of the mountain. "Lingshan is good for the western heavenly realm, and the source water can pass through the tide of the South China Sea", there are many Confucian scholars who have studied here in the past dynasties, and there are also many scholars who preach the scriptures here.

On this day, there was an old monk here to talk eloquently, only to see him sitting under the ancient arhat pine, his body seemed to be embedded in the trunk of a tree, and at first glance it was not easy to notice that there was such a person sitting. The wrinkles on his face were the same as the bark of a tree, withered into knots, and there was no kindness or majesty to be seen, only his two eyes, which shot from time to time. In front of him sat thirty or forty people, most of them were monks, only five or six laymen, and five Taoist priests, some of whom were twenty or thirty years old, forty or fifty years old, and sixty or seventy years old......

Although the old monk was old, he was full of energy, and his speech seemed to be effortless, but everyone could hear him clearly, and only heard him say slowly:

"Lao Wei is young and easy to kill, and when he is not yet twenty years old, he is strong in martial arts and hunts down a ...... who has been famous for a long time A man full of evil. The man beat me, but it was not easy for me to kill him, he fled all the way, I chased all the way, from Huguang all the way to the northwest, and actually chased to a place called Maling in Shaanxi. This man is middle-aged, how can he afford such a long journey? I was young and strong, and finally when he was exhausted, I found an opportunity to kill him, Amitabha Buddha ......"

A child's accent said, "Grandpa killed well!" To kill the bad guys is to save the good guys! It turned out that there was a little monk squatting behind the ancient Luohan pine, he was only eleven or twelve years old, his head was shaved well, his eyes were smart, and his expression seemed to be smiling, it was Ah Guang. After Ah Guang finished speaking, a young monk among the monks spoke: "Ah Guang, don't interrupt Grandpa!" "This monk has a ruddy face, a big nose and thick lips, and it is Haizheng.

It turned out that the two of them searched everywhere for the whereabouts of the master, and worshiped every mountain, and when they arrived at Lingyuan Mountain, Haizheng listened to this old monk talk about Zen very differently, but the more he listened, the more he liked it, so he stayed, and it has been more than ten days. As for Ah Guang's bald head, it was just for the convenience of his travel, and he was not included in Haizheng's subordinates.

Ah Guang listened to Haizheng's words, sat down honestly, and picked up a small branch to play. I only heard the old Zen master continue:

"I washed the blood, looted the man's money, and found a family at the intersection to rest. My money came easily, and I used it generously, and I threw my master a large ingot of silver, and how could the countrymen ever see so much money? The host was very welcoming, cleaned up his side room, and changed the bed with a new quilt, so that I could sleep. I hadn't slept well for more than a month, but I couldn't sleep well, and I woke up after a while. When the hostess saw that I was awake, she brought me water, made me wipe my face, and said that the meal would arrive later. Sure enough, not long after the hostess went out, a steaming meal was served. The host is very friendly and hospitable, made me a big table of dishes, even the plates and plates that are not easy to take out on weekdays, although it is an ordinary person's meal, the hostess is a good craft, make the color and taste are complete, a bowl of haggis soup comes out of the fragrance, let my saliva come out, Amitabha Buddha...... I was overjoyed, asked the owner the direction of the latrine, first went to relieve my hands, ready to go back to the room to have a good meal...... Amitabha...... When I got back to my room, I was taken aback!

"I saw a man who looked like a man and didn't look like a man...... The man, let's say an old woman, was crouching on the wooden stool by the table that the master had prepared for me, grabbing food and stuffing it into her mouth. The old woman was no more than three feet tall, hunched and shrunken head, her face, just like mine at this time, was folded with folds, only skin, no flesh, only a few dozen hairs left, drooping on her chest, already stained with the soup of the bowl of haggis soup, her hands were swarthy only skin and bones without flesh, as if burned, her nails were two inches long, her eyes were showing green light, she was lying on the table, eating soundly, her body was covered with rice, the haggis soup wet her neck, she was stilting her ass, From time to time she licked the soup that flowed onto the table, and she was covered with only her tongue, and there was still a little ruddy ......"

When everyone heard this, they even dared to come out, and even Ah Guang gently lowered the branches. The old monk continued:

After a while, a table of food was eaten by this old woman, and even the dishes were licked clean by her, she had no teeth in her mouth, and she swallowed everything she ate...... I was so brave that I wasn't afraid, I just thought about how this monster would attack me...... At this moment, the hostess broke in, and saw that she was violent, and walked up to the old lady with a flat pole, and beat her head, and kicked her a few times, and drove the old woman out, and the old woman's mouth was full of food, and she couldn't stop whining and wailing. I'm a big man, and I'm right behind these two......

"The hostess pushed and beat the old woman, and brought her into a dim ear room, the ear room smelled musty, I stood at the door and did not go in, the hostess opened a wooden cage, the old woman honestly climbed in, curled up in the cage, and kept convulsing, I was feeling that she was pitiful, the old woman suddenly looked up at me, that look, it has been eighty years, I still remember it clearly......"

When the Zen master Mu talked about this, he stopped, and he didn't speak for a long time, and everyone was as quiet as a cicada, and no one dared to cough. After a long time, he continued:

"Amitabha, the old woman's eyes, which were originally green, suddenly glowed with a fiery red light, and that light was full of resentment, evil, and hatred, and I was not intimidated by her, but my eyes were suddenly certain, and the old woman trembled and whined and wailed a few times, as if she was begging me, as if she was tempting me, and as if she was mocking me...... I felt an indescribable disgust, and hurried out of the chamber.

At this time, the man who was chopping wood at the back of the house was alarmed, and he came to apologize to me, and I asked him, 'What is this, and who is this old woman?' ’

"He said, 'Old woman? It's not a human, it's a ghost! I was taken aback and said, 'This is the charm?' The man said: "This matter is a long story, this succubus is actually the great-grandmother of one of my grandmothers, and there are more than ten generations of people who have pushed it up, and people are not dead when they reach the age of damning, and gradually they are not worthy of death, and after living for three hundred years, they will become succubus." When he said this, his tone carried a hint of resentment, and I suddenly understood this trace of resentment, isn't it true that the things in this world are all missed and can never be returned? Even death! The man continued: 'When she lived, she became smaller and smaller, smelled worse and smeller, and was no longer afraid of heat and cold, so she could do without clothes. My grandfather was a carpenter, and he was afraid that she would scare people, so he made this wooden cage and locked her inside. It seems that her size has become smaller again, and this cage is going to add a few wooden bars! She must have been tickled by the smell of food in your room! This thing can not eat for a month, but it can also eat more than a dozen catties at a time. I really shouldn't have disturbed your guests! ’

"I ate the meal that the hostess had remade and left the house. I touched it again in the middle of the night, and I did one thing...... I killed the ghost with one stab, the stinking knife, and I threw it into the river...... Amitabha! ”

When everyone heard this, several people came out "ah", and then the monks all recited "Amitabha".
