Chapter Eighty-Six: Riding a Spear

The strongest barrier built by the warriors of the tribe was pierced by the Imperial cavalry, and everything was unimpeded in front of the cavalry that followed, like a long rainbow rushing into the enemy line.

The warriors of the tribe desperately resisted, trying to make up for the gap that had been torn apart, but before the absolute strength of the galloping horses, all resistance was useless, and their stubborn resistance was not only ineffective, but the gap in the formation was more and more impacted by the cavalry that followed.

The warriors of the Horde roared and threw down their shields of defense, armed with battle axes and spears to cut down the Imperial cavalry galloping back and forth.

But their thinking turned out to be naïve, except for some unlucky cavalry who were cut under their horses, the rest of the cavalry only had to hold on to their sabers, and with the galloping horsepower of their horses, they could easily cut through their chain mail like slicing cakes.

The war paints and armor of the tribal warriors could not resist the sabers of the cavalry, and their defenseless chests were exposed to the blades of the sabers after their armor was cut open, and the saber easily slashed through their chests, bringing a burst of blood mist.

Some of the tribal warriors who had been slashed by the sabers still wanted to continue the pursuit of the cavalry, and then they felt a sharp pain in their bodies, and they lowered their heads in shock only to find that their bodies were bleeding profusely, and the warriors who had lost their fighting spirit staggered to the ground, and then countless cavalrymen rode past him.

After the Imperial cavalry had broken through the enemy formation, they drove their panting horses out of the enemy's rear, and continued to turn under the leadership of Earl Pike, as if they wanted to charge the enemy formation again.

To Duke Pike's surprise, the barbarian warriors did not rout, but many saw that the cavalry was temporarily away from the place, they took out the recurve bow from their backs, and formed a bow formation under the command of some centurions, and the tribal warriors took out the armor-piercing arrows made of fine iron from the quiver on their waists, and took the arrows and drew their bows to aim at the imperial cavalry who continued to rush in a circle.

Duke Pike saw that the situation was not good, and the cavalry usually did not carry shields in order to facilitate the charge, so he could only look back and shout to the back: "Take back your sabers and prepare to charge with your spears!"

The cavalrymen, acting on Duke Pike's orders, withdrew some of their sabers from their scabbards and pulled out their conical mounted spears from the sides of their horses. The whole of the cavalry spear is made of fine iron, especially the tip of the cavalry spear in order to maximize the impact force, and the head of the spear is made of 100 steel made by the craftsmen of the empire.

The cavalrymen carried their spears between their arms and galloped forward.

The centurion of the snowy tribe estimated that the cavalry had reached the best killing range of the bow and arrow, and he also bent his bow and aimed at the nearby cavalry, and he commanded loudly: "Warriors aim, fire!"

A humming sound from the shaking of the bowstring resounded through the sky, and a rain of arrows was fired from the bows of the tribal warriors, and the rain of arrows fell from the sky and stabbed straight at the cavalrymen who came like waves.

Like rain, the arrows hit many knights, and the armor-piercing arrows prepared by the Snow Tribe for the cavalry came into play.

The defenses of the plate armor were torn apart without hindrance, and the unlucky cavalrymen who were hit fell from their horses to the ground without much screaming, and the horses were not comfortable once they were shot by arrows, and the impact of the gallop suddenly made their front hooves soften, and the owner who was riding on them stayed in this place forever.

However, this wave of arrow rain did not bring too many losses to the cavalry of the empire, and the cavalry once again set up a goose-shaped formation and continued to move forward. As the distance between the two sides continues to close, the tribal warriors have no chance to continue pouring arrows.

Under the order of the centurion, they panicked to regroup, because they had suffered heavy losses in manpower, and could only reluctantly reorganize a shield array to defend against the onslaught of cavalry, and seeing the cavalry that was about to attack again, the warriors of many tribes closed their eyes in resignation.

At the moment when they were about to ram the enemy formation, the imperial cavalry invariably raised their cavalry spears in their hands, parallel to the ground and facing the shield array in front of them.

The cavalry soon ran into the enemy formation again, this time not making a loud collision sound like the last time, because on the galloping horses, the cavalrymen's rifles could destroy everything that stood in their way!

The huge round shield, which looked like it was made of paper, was easily broken by the horse-powered mounted spear, which then slammed into the warriors hiding behind the shields.

They were swept away by the spears as if they had been hit by a boulder, and the knights were in no man's land in the enemy line with their spears in their hands, and all resistance was a joke in front of the spears.

Without any suspense, Duke Pike and his cavalry routed the vanguard of the Snow Tribe, and they finally lost their fighting spirit and threw away their swords and ran towards the rear.

But where can the legs of men outpace the speed of horses? The Imperial cavalry began to scatter and encircle the fleeing tribal warriors, and before they knew it, they pursued them into the forest beyond the plains.

When they were slaughtering, they didn't notice that some gray-brown figures were shuttling through the woods on the left and right.
