"Explanation of Rundong's Sentimental Setting in this Book"
Some friends have some doubts about the feelings of the Rundong characters in this book who are worried about the country and the people or for the country and the people, and think that this starting point is too high.
In fact, before writing this book, I also thought about the setting of Rundong's ideals, is he for love, profit, fame, power or for his ideals?
That's what I think.
Mao Weiren's life, if it is said to be love, this must not make sense, he was born in the era, the law is allowed for men to have three wives and four concubines, but Mao Weiren has always insisted on having only one wife by his side, it can be said that monogamy, itself is part of Mao Weiren's ideals, he is resolutely against polygamy, this will also be written in the later text, so if I write Rundong for love, it will be contrary to the facts.
For profit, this is even more impossible, in the second half of the book, you can see that Mao Weiren is not without money, he used to be rich, he used to be very generous, but he used most of the money for his own career, and only a very small part of it was used for individuals, which can be proven by historical facts, so if I set Rundong for profit, this is not in line with his character.
For the name, this is worth scrutinizing, but I think so, Mao Weiren did not write an "autobiography" in his life, that is to say, he didn't bother to explain his past, right and wrong, let others comment, if he wrote an autobiography by himself, for example: he had a better reputation for himself, so he explained that he committed suicide when he was a child, because he was inspired to go to school, his father didn't let him, and he himself died*, so that his reputation would be better, but he just didn't explain it, and let others comment.
So I think he personally doesn't care much about his reputation, at least his mind, he didn't think about this aspect at all, didn't pay enough attention to it, at that time he was thinking about the next five-year plan, so when I set up Rundong, I naturally wrote that he didn't care about reputation.
For power, there is no way to say this, for the sake of power this is not wrong, the key is that after having power, what does he use power for? In fact, when I look at Mao Weiren's life, he actually rarely really grasps the army, he is a bit like Zhuge Liang-like figures, he only mentions guidelines and tactical strategies, and he himself is actually outside the army (of course, he went to seize the army in his later years, but that does not seem to be a successful example).
Therefore, when I write about Rundong in this book, he is only for an ideal of saving the country.
And Mao Weiren is indeed a person with extremely strong idealization, (we can see what his ideal world is like from the Great Leap Forward and other things), so from the above many inferences, I finally set the attitude of Rundong in this book as worrying about the country and the people.
Of course, I don't deny that in the process of growing up in his life, it is impossible for Mao Weiren not to be affected by many factors such as fame, fortune, love, and power, because he is a person after all, not a god, on the contrary, I will focus on writing about these contents in the later books, and he will encounter these things when he goes into society, but the main tone of his life is still to live for the dream of a strong country.
If you have your own thoughts on this, you can communicate on the discussion, I also want to understand your thoughts, and finally thank you for your support, I will continue to show you a more exciting future for Rundong and Lingfeng
