Yu Ao

Before the wheel, I asked the Buddha what the 'Tao' was.

The Buddha smiled and was silent.

I asked the Buddha what the Tao does.

The Buddha looks at the sky, the earth, and himself.

I was puzzled, and asked the Buddha again, but the Buddha was silent, but he left me with the Buddha, and there was a way: the Tao has no outline, the heaven and the earth are impermanent, the end of the law, love and hatred are separated; the great life is annihilated, the great death is reborn, the cycle is repeated, and the cause and effect follow; the Sumeru mustard seed calls me confused, and the heart is what I have, but the four directions

In the first life, I was born in a chaotic dynasty.

However, the Buddha did not point out the maze to me, I did not know what the 'Tao' was, I didn't know why the 'Tao' was 'Tao', I didn't know what was after the 'Tao'.

I visited all the mountains, rivers and ancient mountains, but met a person, who faced ominous, but talked extraordinarily, and there were many travelers, and I talked to him, and asked about the "Tao", and the man said: "When you hear the Tao, you can die at night." ”

I said to him, "Isn't it painful to die and live?"

Although the man was old, his eyes were still as sharp as a sword, and he said: "I don't know life, but I don't know death?"

I was speechless, and said, "How do you know life, how do you know death?"

But the man did not speak, and after a long time, he said: "Life and death are fate, and wealth is in the sky." ”

I asked, "What is the Tao?"

The man waved his hand and said, "I don't eat all day long, I don't sleep all night, thinking about it is useless, it is better to learn." ”

I bowed my hand and asked, "What is learning?"

The man looked at the heavens, the earth, and himself.

Before the wheel, the Buddha also answered me in this way.

I thought, this person has not understood the Buddha. He stepped forward and asked, "What do you mean, sir?"

But the man said, "I don't know my fate." I don't know how to be a gentleman; There is no way to stand, there is no way to speak, there is no way to know people. In that case, why not learn?"

Suddenly, there was a little starlight in my heart, and in the light like fireflies, I seemed to see the Buddha again.

After thanking that man, I hid in the mountains for decades, and finally read all the books in the world. In the flickering days, the green wooden cane that had accompanied me for many years also rotted into mud and dust fell to the ground.

Walking the world, I thought that knowing the fate and etiquette and knowing the words, I would know how to 'learn', who expected the world to be turbulent, that Yingzheng delusionally wanted to become an emperor of the ages, burning all the treasures in the world, and I also questioned him. However, Yingzheng was bent on becoming the emperor, and I finally escaped into reincarnation.

Knowing fate, knowing etiquette, knowing words. I still don't know what the Word is.

I know that this is the Buddha's test for me, I don't know how to learn, I will never touch the other side, perhaps, this is fate, right?

II,

(Li Shimin - Mingde)

On that day, I was standing on the streets of Chang'an, and he smiled at me, and I asked him bluntly, "What is the Tao?"

He was dressed plainly, but he was shining, thinking for a long time, and said: "The old man has clouds, the Tao is Tao, and the Tao is very Tao." I think that the Tao gives birth to all things. The Taoist, all living beings in the world, all living beings, water, I am a boat, all living beings are water, water can carry a boat, and it can also overturn a boat. One sentient being, the world is safe, I am very comforted, this is my way!"

I said, "Your Majesty's way, the luck of all living beings in the world, my way, what is learning?"

But he said: "Jun and I are both sons of men, the Tao gives birth to one, life to two, two to three, three to all things, the way of all things, because of people and things, but they have the same end." The way of primary school, what you have to learn in a moment, the way of university, is in Mingmingde, in the people, and in the perfection. Taoism, the virtue of heaven and earth, Mingde, then tomorrow, how not to be close to the people, how to not stop at the best. ”

I asked, "How is Mingde?"

He said: "Nine out of twenty I will take over as the general leader, and it has been three years since I came out of ten. I once asked my beloved Xiang Wei Zheng and said, 'What is the light of the master and what is the darkness?' and said, "If you listen to both, you will be clear, and if you believe partially, you will be dark." Since he succeeded to the throne, he has opened the road of straightforwardness and the door of secrecy. ”

I pondered silently and said, "If you listen to both, you will be clear, and if you believe partially, you will be dark."

He also said: "With copper as a mirror, you can be dressed properly, with the ancient as a mirror, you can know the rise and fall, and with people as a mirror, you can see the gains and losses." For the sake of government, only in winning souls, using non-talents, it will be difficult to govern. Today's appointment must be based on virtue and knowledge. The way of me, the way of heaven and the way of grounding, this is the way of the university. ”

After finishing speaking, he left directly, and I thought in my heart: the way of primary school is what you must learn in a moment, and the way of university is in Mingmingde.

On the day of May in the twenty-third year of Zhenguan, he stepped on the wind fairy, and I stood in front of Zhaoling, unable to speak for a long time. His way, also the way of the king, is not the way of ordinary people, although it can teach people for a while, it can't last a lifetime.

Many years later, I raised my eyes to look at the water of Lethe River, I couldn't be quiet for a long time, and finally saw the Buddha again, I also wanted to question the Buddha, but the Buddha still looked at the sky, the earth, and himself.

I turned around and escaped into samsara

(Iron bread blue sky - incorruptible)

At that time, I went to Tianchang County, but I saw the government office full of people, and I looked at it, but I saw that above the main hall, a person was sitting under the plaque of Zhengda Guangming, and the sky was blue and white behind him. Look at the man again, his face is like a black altar, his face is like the bottom of a pot, his eyes are big and round, and he is more white and less black, and he is very ugly.

When the case was being tried in the court, he asked his neighbor and said: There is a thief who cuts off people's tongues, and the Lord will sue. Zheng said: "The first return, kill and kill." "Finding a person who came to sue the cattle killer, he said: "What is it to cut the cow's tongue and tell it?" (A person's cow's tongue was stolen and cut for no reason, and after the person reported the crime, he returned home and killed him.) After a few days, someone accused the man of killing the cattle for no reason, and the government officials asked him why he had cut the tongue of the cow. I was speechless and convinced. ）

After the case, I found him and asked him, "If you are a master of judgment, you should also know what the 'Tao' is." ”

He smiled and said, "Pure heart is the root cause, and straight path is a strategy." ”

I said to him: "The public is like this, so it is okay, this is the luck of the people, but it is a small road, but I don't know what this avenue is?"

His face changed slightly, and he said, "What is the avenue and what is the trail?"

I thought about it again and again, and said: "The way of primary school is to care about what you have learned, and the way of university is to be Mingmingde." ”

However, he said: "If you are honest, you will be able to do everything, and if you are clean, you will learn no size." Big and small, big and small, big and small, self, heart. ”

Suddenly, Xie said: "Listening to your words is better than reading the Book of Eternity." ”

He waved his hand, turned around and said: "Pure heart is the root cause, and straight path is a strategy." ”

After saying goodbye and leaving, I thought about it again and again, and finally got something

A few years later, I leaned on the Gangan alone, but I saw the place where the mirror was full of water and moon, the Buddha's light faintly flashed, and I looked at the Buddha in the water, and my heart was open.

The Buddha asked me, "Do you know?"

He said, "I don't know?"

The Buddha said, "Do you know?"

He said, "I don't know?"

The Buddha said, "I don't know?"

He said, "Yes." ”

The Buddha is silent.

I smiled and replied: "To know or not to know, it seems to know whether you know or not, there is a way, the Tao is impermanent, and there is no outline of heaven and earth." Those who teach are good at learning, those who are kings are wise and reasonable, and those who are officials are honest and honest. The so-called Tao gives birth to all things, and so should people, and so should Buddhas. ”

The Buddha said, "If people are like this, there is no Buddha in the world." ”

I said, "I would like to persuade sentient beings, and I wish there would be no Buddha in the world." ”

The Buddha said: "It is difficult and difficult, the unpredictable things in the world are nothing more than people's hearts, although there are Bodhisattvas who vow that 'hell is not empty, and they do not become Buddhas', but they come from the evil ones from ancient and modern times, and they are endless." ”

I said, "I would like to swear that within ten lifetimes, I will advise the people of the world to be as good as a stream, and if nothing fails, I will be willing to trek through mountains and rivers to lead the Dharma into the world." ”

The Buddha shook his head and sighed lightly, and said no more.

I am ambitious and confident

Ten years later.

I thank Emperor Taizong for saying goodbye, riding a white horse alone, starting from Chang'an, with a customs clearance document, just because ten years ago, I made a promise to the Buddha.

If a man has no faith, he will not stand.

In the ten worlds, I comprehended the sufferings of all beings, full of love and hatred, and helpless human beings were disturbed, although I had empty aspirations, but I also had no power to return to heaven, and suddenly, I seemed to hear the Buddha's low sigh again.

It's hard, it's hard!

There are verses: there is no outline of the Tao, there is impermanence in heaven and earth, the end of the law, love and hatred are separated, the great life is annihilated, the great death is reborn, the cycle is repeated, and the cause and effect follow; Sumeru mustard seeds, call me confused, my heart is what I have, but the four directions.
