Houses and high-rises

I knew that everything was going to be gone, including me, but I couldn't have predicted my own disappearance, but I saw with my own eyes that I was gone—with the disappearance of the cottages and the towers of the tall buildings.

Today is a spring day, but the weather is not far cooler than winter, and the light snow falls on the ground and becomes small droplets. I remember that I could see the snow on the roofs of every house, melting in the sun, rushing diagonally downward, and then falling down the eaves, turning into bundles of long and short crystalline lines in the air, ticking, clicking, quite nice. I saw the passage of time in this drop.

After a few years, the house became a tall building, so high that I could no longer see the melting snow, the crystal in the sky, and the passage of time.

I've been through all of this, but I don't remember it. I had forgotten what my house looked like. But one day I suddenly remembered some of the good things in the past. I tried to make them clearer, but I couldn't. I know that the past is really the past after all, because they are really gone in my memory.

I wanted to cry, but there were no tears, only heartache. In the tall building, looking at the snow particles falling down from the window, I imagined that they could become crystalline columns of water, like funnels that brought me back a little bit of the past. But they fell straight to the ground, and became dirty and ugly. I couldn't bear to look down any longer, for there was a run of black, dirty water running down there.

I live much higher than I used to, but I feel more empty than ever, people's hope is your own self-inflicted, despair is born of your hope is dashed. How can there be so much hope, there may have been before, but now it is really gone.

Fortunately, I could still choose not to look at it, so I became free of sorrow and sorrow.
