Chapter 502: A Fat Man Must Quit Alcohol and Meat!
(Cat flutter Chinese) "Legend has it that the flower on the other side is related to the Buddha......"
"Wool, related? Why do I think it would be better to be a pair of cowherds and weaver girls after the other side flowers were taken away by the Buddha?" the goatee pouted: "Think about it, if the other side flowers were not taken away by the Buddha, maybe they would meet in the future." It will not bloom for a thousand years and fall for a thousand years, and the flowers and leaves will never meet. ”
"Flowers and leaves will never meet ......" This is definitely a tragedy, as the saying goes, red flowers and green leaves, saying that they are inseparable, but the flowers on the other side are flowers and leaves, and leaves are peanuts. Flowers bloom for a thousand years, leaves are born for a thousand years, a lifetime is a thousand years, a thousand years can not be seen alive, a lifetime falls, after all, the red face falls, and the flowers and leaves will never meet...... If you think about it, it's quite tragic indeed.
Siddhartha sighed when he heard this, and rarely did not refute the goatee, which can be seen that Siddhartha also has some regret in his heart for this other side flower.
However, Siddhartha is very interested in this Jizo King Bodhisattva, and he has heard Wu Di mention the Jizo King Bodhisattva before, but Siddhartha really knows very little about the so-called Bodhisattva.
"Xiao Wuzi, what kind of holy place is this Jizo King Bodhisattva you are talking about, how do I think he is more powerful than the Buddha?"
"Jizo King Bodhisattva is a legend, and in the legend, he is a super great being. He has been in hell for a long time, and the souls of the transcendent are billions of billions, and he once said that hell is not empty, and he will not become a Buddha, and all sentient beings will be exhausted, so as to prove Bodhi. Wu Di said: "He hopes that people are equal, that time is harmonious, and that there is no tragedy......"
Jizo King Bodhisattva is also known as Jizo Bodhisattva because he is "sbearant and unmoving, like the earth." Thoughtful. It's like a secret vault". Hence the name. It is recorded in ancient books that Jizo Bodhisattva has rescued his mother who was suffering in hell several times in his past lives, and has repeatedly vowed to save all sentient beings who are suffering from sin, especially those in hell, for a long time.
Therefore, this bodhisattva is widely spread by Buddhism with the virtues of "great filial piety" and "great vow" at the same time. Therefore, it is widely revered as the "Great Wish Jizo King Bodhisattva" and has become one of the four great bodhisattvas in Buddhism.
According to legend, King Jizo Bodhisattva himself had a somewhat similar life experience to Shakyamuni before becoming a monk, and it was recorded that he was a Silla royal family with the Dharma name Bhikshu.
One of the most famous sayings of King Jizo Bodhisattva is that hell is not empty, and there is no Buddha. Legend has it that the Jizo Bodhisattva has already reached the sea of wisdom of the Buddha since the immeasurable and boundless eons of practice, and his merits have been fully fulfilled, and he should have attained the Buddha's fruition a long time ago. However, Jizo Bodhisattva made a vow to save all sentient beings, so he concealed his true merits and used his original power and free supernatural powers to appear everywhere to save sentient beings.
Ancient books say that there is a bodhisattva of great compassion who will never become a Buddha. It's not because of insufficient proficiency or slackness in practice, but because of the strength of great compassion to transform sentient beings. So the merit is though the same as the Buddha. But he does not appear as a Buddha, and always uses the body of a Bodhisattva to get rid of sins and suffering sentient beings. "Hell is not empty. Vow not to become a Buddha, all sentient beings are exhausted, and Bodhi is proven. ”
In addition to this, King Jizo Bodhisattva is revered, and another point is that all wishes are fulfilled.
The merits of Jizo Bodhisattva are equal to those of Buddhas, and the merits of reverence for Bodhisattvas are also incredible. If you take refuge in Manjushri, Maitreya and other great bodhisattvas in the course of a hundred eons, call them by their names and worship and make offerings, what you want is to seek longevity, wealth or to stop troubles, etc. It is better for someone to take refuge in Jizo Bodhisattva in such a short period of time with one meal, recite the name of the Bodhisattva, and sincerely pay homage to the great merits of Jizo Bodhisattva, and if you ask for something, you can achieve it satisfactorily. This is to promote the Dharma of Jizo Bodhisattva, so I especially praise the transcendence of the merits of Jizo Bodhisattva. Therefore, like Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of the Earth appears in the ten worlds and speaks all kinds of dharmas, so that sentient beings can be freed from all kinds of hardships and have their desires satisfied.
The king of Jizo said that she lived in the filthy land: although she was all over the world, she was especially in this filthy and evil world, and she saved the sins and sufferings of all sentient beings. Since the immeasurable eons of eons, the Bodhisattvas of the Earth have set their hearts to save sentient beings in the world of defilement. The more evil the world is, the more you have to go, and the more distressed sentient beings are, the more you have to live. And you have to go to a world where there is no Dharma, because there are people who suffer the most.
The bodhisattva's wish is different, but the great wish of compassion of the Jizo Bodhisattva is focused on the defiled world. Shakyamuni Buddha appeared and became a Buddha in the world of filth, and the Bodhisattva studied Shakyamuni Buddha and vowed to spend sentient beings in this filthy land, so he is considered to be the true inheritor of the spirit of Shakyamuni Buddha.
Jizo Bodhisattva was instructed by Buddha Shakyamuni in the Heavenly Palace of Buddha to educate all beings in the six realms before the Buddha was born in the world after the Buddha was destroyed. The Bodhisattva of the Earth made a vow that only by exhausting all sentient beings in the six realms could they attain Buddhahood: "If hell is not empty, you will not become a Buddha, and when all sentient beings are exhausted, you will attain Bodhi."
Buddhism believes that the Dharma of the defiled world has monastic beings, which has a positive and special significance: the defiled world is full of sin and darkness, and sentient beings are full of greed, hatred, ignorance, and ignorance, and live for fame and fortune, unlike the purity of sentient beings in the Pure Land, so it is necessary for monastic beings to exist. King Jizo Bodhisattva believes that the monastic appearance is the pure appearance of the evil world. Establishing a pure sangha in an undesirable society can infect sentient beings and purify the body and mind. Therefore, Buddhism believes that the focus of Buddhism in the Pure Land is on the monks, while the Pure Land does not care about the monks. The appearance of Shakyamuni Buddha and Jizo Bodhisattva in the filthy land has a special significance in Buddhism.
Jizo Bodhisattva was a Brahmin woman who did not believe in the Three Jewels and went to hell after her death. The Brahmin woman knew the inevitable retribution of her mother, so she sold her property to give blessings to her mother. She was concerned about her mother's situation, and if the Buddha was still alive, she could ask the Buddha about it, and at that time, Juehua Dingzi Wang Rulai had already perished.
In times of great grief, the Brahmin woman was instructed by a voice that told her to devote herself to the name of King Rulai. The Brahmin woman was sincere and respectful and devoted herself to reciting the Buddha, and soon with the power of reciting the Buddha, she went to hell in a fixed state and asked the ghost king about her mother's condition. The ghost king told him that because of her merits of making offerings and reciting Buddhas, her deceased mother and other hellish sinners had been freed from the suffering of hell and reincarnated in heaven. The Brahmin woman made a vow in front of the Buddha statue to save all sentient beings from their sins and sufferings.
"Well, this Jizo King Bodhisattva is much stronger than you, although he is a woman, he has done what others can't do if he wants to. Unlike some people, who chant Buddha and Buddha every day, in the end they are inexhaustible, alas!" Goatee said in a deep tone: "I think some fat people need to quit drinking and meat!"
", it's better to let me quit drinking and meat!" Siddhartha almost ran away when he heard this, asking him to quit drinking and meat, which was worse than killing him. Seeing that everyone was sneering, he hurriedly changed the topic: "Tell me about the flowers on the other side and the Lechuan River again." (To be continued.) Cat flutter Chinese
