Chapter 25: Change
Back in the dormitory, Al's conversation with Harry and Ron was still about the wizarding duel at midnight. Pen × fun × Pavilion www. biquge。 info
Now that the duel was a foregone conclusion, Al knew it was useless for him to say anything, so he kept giving Harry advice on the sidelines.
Harry was really worried about the duel at night, and he said, "What if I wave my wand and I don't react at all?"
"Then throw away your wand and punch Malfoy in the nose!"
"If you find Malfoy muttering a spell in his mouth, you'd better find a way to distract him and interrupt his spell so you have a chance to get close to him and knock him out with one punch. ”
"The most important thing is not to get caught by the teachers, or Filch, or his cat, otherwise it's all over. ”
Al took one last look at the time, and he said to Harry, "Alright, it's half-past eleven, it's almost midnight, let's go." ”
Al, Harry, and Ron donned their robes, picked up their wands, and tiptoed through the castle's dormitories, down the spiral staircase, into the Gryffindor common room.
There were still embers in the furnace wall that were glowing reddish, and the armchairs seemed to turn into black shadows, and Al was just about to reach the portrait passage when they heard someone talking in the nearest chair.
"I can't believe you're really going to go, Harry. ”
Al could hear it as Hermione's voice, and then a light popped on, and Hermione sat in a soft chair in a pink dressing gown, looking at them with a frown.
"And, Al, it's unbelievable that you're messing around with the two of them!"
"Hermione, why are you here?"
"I almost told Percy about this," Hermione stood up, and she came to Al and the others, and said, "Percy, he's the prefect of Gryffindor, and he's going to stop this." ”
Al grabbed Hermione's arm and tried to push her to the door of the girls' dormitory.
"Go back to bed, Hermione, we have to fix this, or Harry will be laughed at by Malfoy for the rest of his life. ”
Hermione, of course, wouldn't give in so easily, she shook off Al's hand and followed Harry and Ron through the portrait gate of Gryffindor's public rest.
"Don't you care about Gryffindor, only yourself? I don't want Slytherin House to win the House Cup again, I don't want you to lose all the points I got from Professor McGonagall with the Diversion Spell!"
Truth be told, Hermione has already earned Gryffindor quite a few extra points because of her excellent performance.
Ron muttered impatiently to Hermione, "Go away, be nosy, and go back to your sleep." ”
"Well, since you don't listen, don't forget what I said, and don't blame me for not warning you when you take the train home, you are so stubborn. ”
Hermione huffed and turned to the portrait of the fat woman, trying to return to the Gryffindor common room, only to find that the painting was empty.
It seems that the fat woman went to visit other paintings.
Without the fat woman opening the door, no one would want to enter the Gryffindor common room, and now Hermione was locked out, and she couldn't get in if she wanted to.
"Oh, no, what now?" Hermione asked, panicked.
"That's your problem. Ron said, "Harry, we have to go, we're getting late." ”
Al looked at Hermione's bewildered appearance and whispered, "You can come with us, or Filch will definitely catch you when he passes by here." ”
Hermione gave Al a blank look, and she said, "If he catches me, I'll tell him the truth, and I'll say I'm trying to dissuade you, and you'll have to testify for me when the time comes." ”
Al shrugged his shoulders helplessly, and said, "Got it, let's go quickly, or Harry and they'll be far away." ”
Al and the others walked briskly down the hallway, moonlight pouring in through the high windows and slatting across the ground.
Every turn, you need to be careful to check whether you will meet Filch or Lady Loris, but luckily El and their luck are good, and there are no accidents along the way.
The group hurried up the stairs to the third floor, and then tiptoed towards the prize showroom.
Malfoy and Crabbe were not there, the crystal glass case where the prizes were displayed gave off a soft glow in the moonlight, and the whole showroom was silent, and no sound could be heard.
The four men moved forward against the wall, their eyes glued to the doors at either end of the room, and Al pulled out his wand in case Malfoy burst out of nook and nowhere and launched a surprise attack.
Minutes and seconds passed.
Ron looked around and whispered, "Malfoy was late, or maybe he was scared and didn't dare come." ”
"Maybe it's a trap. Al glanced at Ron, then said in a deep voice, "I'm afraid Malfoy is lying in his dorm room at this time, constantly laughing at us for being stupid and waiting for him here." ”
At this moment, a voice suddenly came from the next room, startling them.
"Smell everywhere, my dear, in some corner they might be hiding. ”
The voice wasn't Malfoy, it was Filch.
Filch was talking to his cat, Lady Loris, which scared the El out of the way. Al gestured to the other three men, telling them to follow him, quietly walking to the door away from Filch's voice.
Al and the others had just walked around the corner when they heard Filch enter the prize showroom.
"They're somewhere here," Filch muttered under his breath, "probably hiding." ”
Al's heartbeat suddenly increased, and everyone became more nervous.
"Go this way!"
Harry whispered in a direction, and the El followed Harry down a hallway full of armor.
Filch's voice was getting closer and closer to El and them, and it seemed to be not far behind them, because the moonlight shining into the corridor was too dim, and most of the attention was focused on Filch, Ron didn't notice it for a while, and accidentally knocked down a pair of armor beside him!
Suddenly, a piece of armor fell with a bang, and the piercing sound of metal, in the quiet of the night, seemed to wake up the entire castle.
Al felt that his heartbeat was about to stop at this moment, he looked at the three Hermione who were frightened by this sudden change, and shouted, "What are you still doing in a daze, run!"
