The seventh bullet of the eight cases - Lan
Lansheng Valley, a gentleman's cultivation.
Orchid is the peilan and zealan of the Asteraceae family, while the orchid may be the zero fragrance of the Asteraceae family. Since the Song Dynasty, orchid has only referred to the ground orchid of the orchid family.
When it comes to orchid, almost all people think of 'righteous knot Jinlan'.
But Menglan, many people may not know.
Yan Menglan
In the Spring and Autumn Period, Yan Yao, the concubine of Zheng Wengong, dreamed one day that an angel gave her an orchid and said to her: 'My name is Bo Lu, and I am your ancestor. Soon, Zheng Wengong saw Yan Yao and gave her orchids, and the two were very affectionate.
Recently, the black 'Zen master' on the Internet is very powerful, so I will also tell a story about the Zen master, but it is about Lan.
In the history of Zen Buddhism, there is a well-known Zen master of Jin. He has a hobby of growing orchids. In his abbot's Zen monastery, people can see a wide variety of orchids everywhere, and there are many varieties. Pilgrims and tourists come to the temple to listen to the Buddha, and see the shelves full of orchids overflowing with dark fragrance, quiet and sweet, and they can't help but admire. Because of this, people call the Zen master Jin Hui, who loves orchids, "orchid monk".
One day, Zen Master Jin Yu was invited to give a lecture outside the temple. Before leaving, he called one of his disciples to him and said to him, "I'm going to teach the Fa, and I'll come back after dark, so you have to take good care of these orchids for me and remember to water them."
The disciple knew that the Zen master loved orchids, so he took great care of them after he left, and was especially careful when watering them. I'm really afraid that there are ghosts everywhere, and the more careful you are, the more mistakes will go wrong. He didn't pay attention, stumbled under his feet, and knocked down an orchid shelf, and the whole orchid fell to the ground with a bang, the clay pot was broken, and the flowers and leaves were scattered. Looking at the remnants of the flowers and mud in the ground, the little novice was frightened and didn't know what to do. When the other disciples of Zen Master Jin Yu saw it, they came over to help him clean up, and said to this disciple, when the master comes back after dark, you can admit your mistakes as it is, and the master will not blame you.
In the evening, when Master Jin Yu returned to the monastery, the disciple reported to the master what had happened during the day, and he thought that the master would be angry and angry when he knew that his beloved thing had been destroyed, so he asked the master to punish him. After hearing this, Zen Master Jin Yi just smiled calmly and said, Since you didn't mean it, and you know that it is not a good thing to destroy things, you will do things with your heart in the future, what else do I blame you? I do like orchids and regard them as friends. But the purpose of planting orchids is to offer fragrant flowers to the Buddha and beautify the temple and the public's mood, not to be angry and troubled. The world is impermanent, fleeting, nothing is indestructible and indestructible, how can I cling to the things I love and don't know how to give up? This is not our Zen family style!
After listening to the teachings of the Zen master, Huo Ran became enlightened, became more diligent in practice, and finally achieved something in Buddhism.
The Buddha said that everything has a way, like a dream bubble, like dew and electricity. Anything in the world, whether we think it is beautiful or ugly, likes it or not, lives and dies and does not last forever. Therefore, we should not be confined to the appearance of things, but should be at ease with fate. This is not only the demeanor of a Zen practitioner, but even ordinary people should know to adapt to the changes of things and not let external things change the peace of the inner world
