Chapter 73: Jon Turned Bad
"Now, tell me why you fought in the martial arts hall. Pen, fun, pavilion www. biqugeγ infoβ
Albert's tone was stern, he liked the smart and sensible Jon, but that didn't mean he would indulge Jon.
"They laughed at me and called me a wild seed, and everybody said that. Jon was a little scared and a little aggrieved. But then, he suddenly mustered up his courage and looked up at Albert, "I told them I was your child, but no one believed me. β
Albert frowned, "Why did you tell them that?"
"Because you are a respected ancient magician. Jon exclaimed, "I want to be like Edith, too." β
"You're not like Edith, you have family. Albert's brow furrowed even deeper, almost together, "You can think of me as an uncle or a friend." β
"I don't need friends, I just want a strong father. Jon said angrily.
Albert stared at Jon, who regained his composure under his gaze. "Why?" said Albert when Jon had calmed down.
"So no one would dare to say that I was a wild seed. Jon's tone trembled, as if he thought of something that angered him.
"So you hit them. Albert said calmly.
"That's right, they're just a bunch of mouthful shit. Jon replied with a straight face.
"You think it's something to brag about, don't you?" asked Albert.
"Am I wrong?" asked Jon.
"If this happens between adults, maybe it's just a simple fight, but you're kids. Albert said.
"Is there any difference between children and adults?, should I just let them insult?" Jon gritted his teeth, looking at his hero, who turned out to be just a cowardly coward.
"When adults fight with each other, it's only the body that hurts. Albert said calmly, "But the child will leave a shadow in the heart." β
"That's their business, who made them scold me. β
"You're wrong, it's you who leave the shadow. Albert shook his head.
"I'm not hurt, they're no match for me. Jon patted his chest as he spoke.
"Power makes you arrogant. Albert said with some disappointment, "You are not worthy of learning martial arts, let alone holding a sword." β
"Teacher Leona said that my martial arts talent is as good as Edith's. Jon wanted to prove something to Albert, "I can be your pride." β
"You're just going to give me a headache right now. "I know you've had enough of bullying, but that's not a reason for you to vent your frustration to the world." It's infuriating that they insult you, and so do I, but if you hit them, you're the one who is at fault. You can enlist the help of Teacher Leona, who can punish children who don't know how to respect them. And when you learn to control your emotions, that's what really makes me proud of you. β
Jon's mood finally stabilized, "Then what's the use of me learning swordsmanship?" he asked him.
"Martial arts breed power, but power is not all there is to martial arts. β
Albert's expression also softened a lot, and he warned step by step, "If you blindly pursue power and ignore the spirit of martial arts, even if you become a martial artist, a great martial artist, you are only a slave of power." β
Looking at Jon's blank eyes, he knew that the other party didn't understand, but he had to teach Jon these words in advance, and lead Jon back to the right path before the child's heart was fully formed. At the same time, he understands what Jon's thirst for power stems from, and Jon has suffered so much that Jon has some pathological attachments in his heart. He had had a similar experience, when he was just getting to grips with magical powers.
"What should I do?" asked Jon.
"Find your truth. Albert gestured to Jon's chest.
"Truth?" Jon was confused again, "do you mean justice, should I be on the side of justice?"
"Justice and truth are two different things. Albert shook his head, "Justice is nothing but an excuse for the destruction of the many against the minority, and truth comes from your heart." β
"Justice endures forever, this is the first passage of the Sun God's quotations. Jon retorted quietly.
"The sun god is right, but the people of that time were in the ancient Chaos Era, and the people of today are not so simple. Albert replied, "If you believe in justice, what do you do when it is pointing in the wrong direction?" Albert said impatiently, "Remember, your bottom line is your truth." He continued, "Learn to listen to your heart." β
"I still don't understand. Even though Jon had thought as hard as he could.
"I don't need you to understand right now. Albert patted Jon lightly on the shoulder, "But I hope you remember what I said." β
"I will. Jon nodded earnestly, "It's already engraved in my head." β
"You're a smart kid. Albert smiled, "I believe everything you say, don't let me down." β

"Knock! knock!"
"Have you slept?" After talking to Jon, Albert came to the little girl's room.
"The door is unlocked. The immature voice carried a hint of anticipation, the little girl hadn't listened to Albert's bedtime story for a long time.
Albert pushed open the door and sat down on the edge of the bed. He glanced at Xiao Qiao lying on the quilt, and then looked at the little girl, "How are you getting along?"
"It's the same as before, she never ignored me. Edith said in frustration that Little Joe's indifference had devastated her. She will talk to Xiao Qiao every day and tell Xiao Qiao stories, but Xiao Qiao sleeps except for sleeping. Only when she was in the shower would she wake up and run to the side to wait.
"Be patient, my dear, I'm afraid it will take a little time. Albert comforted the little girl, "At least she's willing to follow you now, it's a good start." He told her. "Remember how hard it was for us to get Little Joe off me, remember how many ways we used to get Little Joe to stop pestering me, remember how happy you were when Little Joe first got into your arms?"
"It's been three weeks. Edith grumbled.
"She's your sister, have you forgotten? That's what you said. Albert stroked the little girl's hair dotingly.
"You're right, she's my sister. Edith nodded helplessly, "So I should take care of her, right?" she looked up at Albert.
"That's exactly what my sister should do. Albert nodded.
"I'm sleepy, I'm sleepy. Edith got under the covers, "Can the bedtime story begin?"
"Of course, willing to serve, my beautiful little princess. Albert said earnestly and picked up "Bedtime Stories" on the bedside table.

There was a hint of chill in the middle of the night in the near autumn.
Seeing off his drunken friends, Albert returns to his room.
He was sleepy, a feeling he hadn't felt in a long time, and tiredness came like a tidal wave.
Hopefully, the source of mana will soon return to normal, Albert thought to himself, and there were guild elite missions waiting for him.
Before he knew it, Albert fell into a deep sleep. A girl with long crimson hair and blue eyes broke into his dream. They walked hand in hand like a couple, walking in the dreamlike forest, comfortable and happy.

Three days had passed, but Albert still couldn't perceive the source of the mana.
He couldn't sit still, and spent the day looking at books in the ivory tower library, but finding nothing.
Albert shook his head and put down the "Precautions for the Use of Magic", "Maybe you should ask President Ivan." He muttered to himself and came to the president's alchemy room on the top floor of the ivory tower.
"Knock! knock!"
Albert knocked on the door, and after a moment's wait, the huge stone door slowly lifted.
"Why do you have time to find me?" Ivan didn't raise his head, and continued to mix colorful magic potions.
"I'm in trouble. Albert didn't hide it, "I've been unable to use magic lately, and I can't even sense the source of mana. β
"What did you do?" Ivan put down the jars and looked at Albert, "Normally, only the mana source will turn off after the mana is reversed. β
"You're right. Albert nodded.
"I'm afraid it's a bit tricky. Ivan touched his chin, "How long?"
"That's it when I wake up. "But I should have lost my magic much earlier, and I was in a coma for two weeks." β
"I'm afraid this is a bit difficult to do, and the normal magic power can heal itself in a week, but your condition seems to be serious. Ivan frowned, "Maybe you should ask my mentor, he is the wisest elder I have ever met." β
"You mean Bligh ......" Halfway through speaking, Albert realized his gaffe and quickly changed his words, "You mean Lord Bryze?"
"That's right. Ivan nodded, "Don't be too nervous, that will only make things worse." β
Albert smiled, "I'll go to Fort Bolton." β
"You don't need to go to Fort Bolton. Ivan stepped forward and patted Albert on the shoulder, "We'll see him here." β
"Using the Communication Mirror?"
"That's right, using the Communication Mirror. Ivan nodded.
"That would require a lot of magic crystals. "Albert is very aware of the value of the magic crystal, which is the consumable of some magic props, the value is equivalent to the magic core of the gold-level demonic beast, and a small piece requires a few gold coins.
"Now what you should care about is your source of magic power, rest assured, the guild's magic crystal reserves are abundant. β
"Thank you for your help, President Ivan. Albert performed a mage salute.
"I'm not all for you, you're my student's friend and the pride of Blackwater Castle. Ivan smiled, "Come with me." β
Albert continued, but kept the favor to heart.
The two of them arrived in the conference hall.
Ivan stood in front of the mirror, muttering an obscure incantation and waving his wand.
"Huh!"
The ball-shaped magic crystal the size of a basketball embedded in the top of the magic mirror erupted into a strong light, and the hundreds of magic crystals placed around the magic mirror were also emitting a faint ghostly light. After a while, the ghostly light on the surrounding magic crystals condensed, forming a beam of light that shone on the spherical magic crystal on the magic mirror.
In an instant, the mirror became distorted, and gradually, the figure of an old man appeared.
