Chapter 26: Mission Accomplished
The man dropped Antoine Gardner on the trolley and held his knee for a moment before looking up at Agnes.
The hand trailer was originally thrown in the courtyard behind the house, and it seems to have been used to weed the garden when the original owner of the house was still living. It is clear that the cart was more useful in the hands of Antoine Gardner or several previous owners, and Agnes found various traces of vegetable leaves, soil, etc.
Antology had stumbled upon the trolley when she was checking the traces, and found that the trolley was still in good condition, so she decided to take the trolley directly to Antoine Gardner off Rue de Arte.
Agnes didn't squeeze the man anymore, she went straight into the storage room, stuffed a few bags of rags and threw them on Antoine Gardner's body, hiding the faint human form that could still be seen through the woven bag even if some cloth was stuffed.
"Let's go." Agnes shook her chin and said to the man with a smile.
The man didn't understand Agnes's meaning for a while, and under Angnes's gaze, he was stunned for a moment before he stepped forward resignedly, grabbed the handle of the trolley, and pushed the trolley.
......
Agnes asked the man to stop at the corner near the intersection of Boulevard Sabose, and she carried the woven bag containing Antoine Gardner on her shoulder and walked down Avenida de la Mate towards the police station.
The people on the road were a little surprised by Agnes's movement of carrying the woven bag, but seeing that Agnes was heading towards the police station, they subconsciously withdrew their gaze. And Agnes didn't care what the pedestrians on the road were making up, she walked straight into the police station with the woven bag.
In the afternoon, the police department still looked busy, and Agnes brought Antoine Gardner to the door of the office directly under the surprised gaze of a group of police officers, and looked at Harriman in the office through a group of passively attracted people.
Agnes smiled and said, "Officer Harriman, the mission is complete, remember to pay." ”
Harriman stood up, walked over to the woven bag that Agnes had thrown on the ground, and untied the rope from the bag.
The first thing that was revealed was a pair of soft-looking feet, with no rope or anything like that to bind them.
Harriman frowned and asked, "He's dead?" ”
Agnes reacted instantly and said, "No." ”
Agnes directly ripped off the woven bag containing Antoine Gardner, revealing Antoine Gardner inside.
Antoine Gardner was pulled by Agnes's rough movements, and his gagged mouth let out a weak muffled grunt, and he was already unconscious from the bumps along the wheelbarrow.
Harriman frowned and looked at Antoine Gardner's somewhat twisted limbs, but did not speak.
"These removed joints are recoverable." Agnes explained with a smile.
She reached out and picked up the joint she had removed earlier.
"There may be some discomfort later, but at least there will be no blood." Agnes said, standing up and looking at Harriman.
Harriman nodded and said, "The mission is well accomplished, we have recognized your level." ”
He walked back to his desk and registered Agnes on the completion of his mission, then wrote a check for 250 gold and handed it to Agnes.
Agnes followed, and behind her, several young policemen lifted Antoine Gardner, who was still unconscious, and walked up the stairs.
"250 gold liso, any bank in the city can get it." Harriman said.
Agnes smiled and nodded, and took the check.
"Miss Poyetia, are you still ready to take on the mission?" Harriman asked.
"Of course, who would refuse to make money?" Agnes said with a smile.
"Is Miss Poyecia of any interest?" Harriman asked, with a small smile on his face.
"Are there any other bounty mission objectives for the Brotherhood of Ster?"
Harriman raised an eyebrow, stood up, and pulled out a thick folder from the cabinet to the side.
"There are a lot of them, what kind of assignment would Miss Poyesia want to take?" Harriman asked.
"Can I see them all?" Agnes asked with a smile.
"Huh?" Harriman looked at Agnes with interest.
"I think I can pick up more, and I need to get a general idea of who is valuable." Agnes said with a smile on her face.
"If I accidentally kill a valuable target while doing other tasks, then I don't lose a lot." Agnes said with a smile.
"Miss Poyethea, you are arrogant. It's a reasonable request, though. Harriman handed the folder directly to Agnes.
"This is the Police Agency's information about the Brotherhood's bounty mission and objectives, Miss Poyesia can read it here, but she can't take it out of this office."
"Thank you." Agnes looked sincere in thanking her, and sat down on the couch with the folder in her hand and flipped through it.
......
Agnes walked out of the police station and walked along Matea Avenue to the intersection of Sabose Boulevard.
She returned to the corner where she had parked, only to see the lone trolley parked in the corner, and the person pushing it was long gone.
"Sure enough, I ran away, the soft persimmon is easy to handle, I obviously warned you." Agnes chuckled quietly, ignored the trolley, turned straight away from the corner, and walked along Sabos Avenue toward the docks.
"It's your choice, don't regret it."
......
Despite being at the southern tip of the North Continent, the November breeze is slightly chilly. Agnes subconsciously pressed the hat on her head to avoid being accidentally blown away by the slightly stronger sea breeze by the dock.
The boats moored at the dockside had a deep draft, and the dock workers were still busy, unloading bags of ore from those ships, loading them onto trolleys not far away, and transporting them to the railroad tracks not far away.
Agnes is well aware that as a rare deep-water coastal port, Bodivia is positioned differently from the port at the mouth of a river in Seville, not far away.
Some large ships with a deeper draft, especially ore ships, prefer to anchor in Bodivia and then transport them by rail to other places.
In fact, Bodivia is one of the heavy industrial capitals of Fenerport. The city council of Bodivia has wisely taken advantage of its geographical advantages to successfully develop a heavy industrial city with a certain reputation throughout the country.
However, it is clear that Bodivia, which is based on heavy industry, is obviously less prosperous than that of nearby Seville, and the streets of Bodivia are deserted around four o'clock in the afternoon.
Of course, this is just Agnes' subjective feelings. Agnes didn't know much about Bodivia, she had only seen a general introduction to Bodivia in books.
She is not a staff member of the Bodivia City Council, and there is no need to know so much.
Agnes glanced at the situation on the pier and walked into the ticket office of the "Bodivia Ticketing Company".
