092. Charing Cross Station
Around noon, the Hogwarts Express arrives at platforms 9 and 3/4 at London's King's Cross Station.
Scott and the others took off their wizarding robes, changed into Muggle costumes, and got out of the car together.
"Milton."
A low call came.
Scott followed the prestige and saw a wizard in a dark wizard's robe with a somewhat gloomy face striding over.
"Oh, it's my dad."
Milton whispered.
Mr. Graves stepped closer, glanced coldly at Scott and them, and said directly to Milton, "Let's go." ”
His cold attitude made Squat and the three of them a little embarrassed.
They were still hesitating to be polite and take the initiative to greet him, but he had already turned away directly.
"I'm sorry." Milton looked at the three of them apologetically, "My dad ...... him"
"Hurry up and keep up."
Mr. Graves turned to Milton.
"Go ahead, see you after the holidays."
Scott smiled at Milton and waved his hand.
"Goodbye."
Milton smiled reluctantly and quickly followed Mr. Grevis's footsteps, father and son quickly disappearing into the crowd.
"Is that Mr. Grevis?" Eddie whispered in an incredulous tone, "What happened?" He wasn't like that during the summer vacation! ”
Of course, Scott and Roger don't know the answer to this question.
"Remember, he was very kind and friendly to us during the summer vacation, and thank us for making friends with Milton!"
Eddie's mouth hasn't stopped yet.
"Looking at his current appearance, I think he looks at least ten years older, and his brow has permanent creases......"
"Let's go." Scott patted Eddie on the shoulder, "Let's get out of the platform first." ”
"Okay."
Eddie smacked his lips and stopped talking about Mr. Grevis.
"I'm just a little worried about Milton." He said, "Did something happen to his family?" I think that's why he chose to give up music. ”
"Maybe, but we can't do anything, can we?" Roger said helplessly.
"Caccini!"
He ran to the other side of the platform to say goodbye to his girlfriend.
Scott and Eddie, who stayed where they were, looked at each other and sighed.
They understood that Roger was right.
They were worried about Milton, but they couldn't do anything, and they didn't even know what was going on.
Not long after, Roger returned to the group after saying goodbye, and the three of them walked out of the platform together.
Roger's father, Mr. Davis, and Eddie's father, Mr. Carmitchell, were waiting for them outside the station.
When they walked out of the station, they saw two fathers smoking cigarettes together on the side of the car.
They had gotten acquainted with each other in the past when they picked up their sons.
Due to his origin, Mr. Davis was a wizard who could easily fit into Muggle society.
He drove a normal, flightless car, wore a suit and leather shoes, and there was no sign that he was a wizard from the outside.
"Hey, how are you, boys!"
Mr. Davis spotted them, and he strode over to Roger, who had greeted him, and hugged Scott warmly.
"Oh, Scott, Roger wrote to tell us you saved his life." He patted Scott on the shoulder with his hand, "Thank you, good boy!" ”
"You're welcome, Mr. Davis, Roger is a friend of mine, and Roger is exaggerating."
Scott was a little overwhelmed by his enthusiasm.
"Hello, Mr. Carmitchell."
He took the initiative to greet another gentleman.
"Hello, Scott."
Mr. Carmitchell smiled kindly, too.
Compared to Eddie's shrewdness, he seems to be much more kind and gentle.
But Scott doesn't believe that a successful businessman lacks shrewdness.
Anyway, after a lot of greetings, they finally decided to leave.
At the warm invitation of his two roommates, his father, Scott finally chose to ride in Mr. Davis's car and let him take him to Charing Cross Station.
So they said goodbye to each other, and the two cars drove in different directions.
In the car, Mr. Davis and Roger talked in a relaxed tone about some of the things that happened at school.
"You're like when I was younger, Roger." Mr. Davis said, "Your heart can only be completely settled when you meet the girl who is destined for you, just as I met your mother." ”
"I'll keep looking, Dad." Roger said.
Scott couldn't help but ask, "So Caccini isn't?" ”
"Yes? Or not? Roger shrugged his shoulders, "Maybe tomorrow my love for her will fade, but it may also deepen, who knows?" ”
Mr. Davis laughed and said, "That's right! After three months of dating your mother, I realized that I couldn't live without her! ”
He also reached out and high-fived Roger.
“……”
Scott suddenly felt that he shouldn't be in the car, but should be under the car.
He didn't want to listen to the father and son discussing each other's affairs in the car.
When the bus arrived at Charing Cross Station, Scott couldn't wait to say goodbye to Davis and his son, got off the bus and walked into the station.
Upon entering the station, the black raven on his shoulder attracted a lot of pillars.
Scott keeps Rimbaud motionless, making people think it's a fake toy.
He didn't rush to the ticket hall to buy a ticket, but first found the bathroom and walked in.
Inside the cubicle, Scott pulled out a wand from a shape-shaped lizard skin pouch tied to the lining of his down jacket.
The wand and his own, though both black, were much older.
It was apparently a second-hand wand and Scott's spare wand.
As a Muggle-born student, the rule that he couldn't use magic outside of school during the holidays was too restrictive for him.
In order to escape the Ministry of Magic's surveillance, he had to prepare himself with a spare wand.
As for the origin of this wand......
There are always some students at Hogwarts who come from a wizarding family who don't mind stealing a relic from a deceased elder in the family in exchange for a golden Galleon.
This wand, made of ebony wood and dragon heartstrings, is not much different from Scott's wand (ebony plus dragon nerves).
It was the previous school year that he had Eddie buy from a student in Slytherin as an intermediary.
Of course, there were several changes in the transaction, and the seller didn't know who the wand was sold to.
"Super perceptual."
The wand in Scott's hand arced through the air and landed on himself.
With the blessing of the Super Sense Spell, his already spread magic perception became even sharper.
Then, he tucked his wand into his sleeve, exited the bathroom, and walked towards the ticket hall.
He didn't perceive anything unusual along the way.
But he didn't jump to conclusions.
On the surface, he was queuing up to buy tickets normally, but in fact he did not relax his perception at all.
It didn't take long for him to stand at the ticket window.
"Hello, where do you need a ticket?" The conductor asked.
"Hello, I need a ...... to get to the fastest"
Scott's words suddenly stopped.
As he was about to say his destination, he finally sensed a slight wave of magic power suddenly appear not far from him.
It's a house elf.
"Hello?" The conductor urged.
Scott pretended to be looking for something in his pocket.
"Hello, a ticket to Maidstone as soon as possible, thank you." He handed his papers and banknotes to the window.
It seems that he can't go back to Hastings directly.
Scott quietly took the ticket and his papers, turned and walked in the direction of the platform.
And in his magic perception, that magic fluctuation has always followed him not far away.
