387. Grapeland has nothing to say
Faced with Scott's doubts about their invention, both Fred and George were unimpressed.
"Of course not." The smug expression on Fred's face was undiminished, "Our products have made a lot of changes based on the panoramic telescope. ”
"If you try it, you'll know how great it is!" George handed Scott the "monocular" in his hand.
Scott reached out and took it, looked at it in his hand, held it up in front of his right eye, closed his left eye and looked inside the camera.
"There has indeed been a change." He looked at the footage, "You added a square frame with the same proportions as [Magic Crystal Player]?" ”
"I suspect you're just deliberately questioning us!"
George, dissatisfied, reached out and snatched the "monocular" from Scott's hand, and began to detail its function.
Scott listened patiently to him before finally nodding.
"Well, I'll admit it's better than a panoramic telescope, and it can be called a [magic camera]." He said.
George pretended to be arrogant and said, "Hmph, yes, it's not that hard to admit that we are excellent. ”
Scott ignored his fake tsundere and snatched the [magic camera] and played again.
He had to admit that as a product with a clear development goal, this thing was indeed more useful as a camera than a panoramic telescope.
The biggest disadvantage of a panoramic telescope when used as a camera is that it can only "shoot" continuous images.
In the previous production of the Ravenclaw College promotional video, Scott always had to "shoot" a piece of footage and immediately import it into the [Magic Mirror] for storage, which was very inconvenient.
Compared to a single-function panoramic telescope, the invention of the twin at least magically achieved all the functions of a Muggle camera, such as the ability to record sound simultaneously, the ability to "shoot" more different clips more flexibly, and of course, easier to operate.
However, Scott only held it in his hand for a while and returned the [magic camera] to George.
He asked the twins curiously, "What are you going to do to make the Gryffindor House promo, and when are you going to mass-produce [Magic Camera]?" ”
"We will hurry up and make a promotional video for the college." Fred said, "Wait, Scott, we're going to be no worse than the Ravenclaw promo." ”
"As for mass production." George suddenly laughed and put his arms around Scott's neck intimately, "We have something to discuss with you." ”
Scott motioned for him to speak straight.
"We're not ready to officially launch this product right now." George said.
Fred Interface said, "This will be one of the signature items of the Weasley Joke Store in the future!" ”
"So?" Scott asked, confused, "What do you want to discuss with me?" ”
"Of course it's [Magic Mirror] and [Player] business." George's exit was a deliberately contrived flattering tone.
Fred quickly followed, "We hope that the esteemed Mr. Trolope will license these two items to be sold with [Magic Camera] to the Weasley Joke Shop. ”
Scott was a little speechless, "I remember your Weasley Joke Store doesn't exist yet. ”
But Fred and George were confident.
"We'll save enough money!" Fred said, "Before graduating." ”
Scott laughed, "I don't have an opinion, of course I can delegate it to you." Anyway, I'm not going to do business myself, and I'm sure you won't lie to me. ”
His philosophy has always been to be a major shareholder who only collects money and does not manage it.
Fred and George were overjoyed.
Scott suggests that they can work with Eddie.
After all, Eddie's dream now is to create a new media company that has never been seen before to attack the backward print news landscape and lack of entertainment in the wizarding world.
Fred and George readily agreed, and they immediately decided to go to Eddie to talk about the future.
After saying goodbye to them, Scott walked towards the back of the castle.
He plans to take advantage of this day to visit his oak hut in the crow's territory, and meet Rimbaud, who is now completely wild.
But his plans ran into obstacles.
Because outside the Forbidden Forest, he met Miss Graplan, who was walking with the Thestrals.
Because the environment outside the Forbidden Forest is too open, when Scott senses Graplan, the other party has already seen him from a distance.
"Hello, Scott!"
Grapeland waved his hand at him enthusiastically.
Although he didn't really want to deal with the lady, Scott stepped forward anyway.
"Hello, Miss Graplan."
While greeting him, his gaze kept on observing the Thestrals, which had grown quite a bit.
Thestrals still seems to have some impression of Scott, and greets him with a snort.
"The little one has grown a lot and his body is healthy." Grapeland said with some pride, "I take good care of it, don't I?" ”
"That's true." Scott complimented her.
But looking at the closeness of the Thestrals, Scott believed that he had completely believed what Luna had said before.
This Thestrals had indeed been tamed by Graplan.
"That's remarkable, Miss Graplan." Scott tentatively said, "Before that, Professor Hagrid was the only English wizard who had tamed this magical animal. ”
"No, I didn't tame it." Grapeland outright denied it.
She stretched out her hand and touched Thestrals' skinny neck, and smiled very softly, "Me and this little guy, we just have a relatively close relationship." ”
Scott smiled noncommittally and didn't retort.
Grapeland continued: "I never try to tame any magical beasts, I like Mr. Scamander's philosophy, I only try to make friends with them, and of course, Mr. Scamander is the one who has done the most success in this regard. ”
"Mr. Scamander is indeed an admirable expert on magical beasts." Scott superficially chimed in.
At the same time, his heart was unimpressed by Graplan's words.
Of course, he was not addressing Mr. Scamander, who he praised from the bottom of his heart.
He just didn't believe Grapeland would have the same philosophy as Mr. Scamander.
Love making friends with magical beasts?
If he hadn't known about the lady's assault on centaurs in order to earn credits, he would have almost believed her nonsense.
Grapeland obviously knew that she couldn't deceive Scott with these words, so she quickly skipped the topic and moved on to something else.
"How?" She asked Scott with a smile.
Scott gave her a quizzing look back.
"I mean, how did you feel when you joined the Scholars Alliance?" ”
"Not good." Scott didn't give her face, "I haven't opened [the Book of Prometheus] in days after trying it once. ”
"How is that possible?"
Graplan, apparently, also did not believe Scott's words.
"You did it on purpose?" She looked Scott up and down with suspicion, "You don't want to owe me a favor for that?" ”
Scott's face remained unchanged, and he said in a light tone, "I remember that we had only one deal between us, Miss Graplan. A transaction based on an equal magical contract. And no one owes a favor to whom. ”
"Cunning boy." Grapeland looked at Scott with a little unkind eyes, "Don't you admit it after getting the benefits?" ”
"I didn't get anything good." Scott said.
Grapeland raised his left hand, took a deep breath of his pipe, and slowly exhaled the smoke.
She calmed down for a moment before continuing to say to Scott, "Let's not mention the credits I paid, because that's what I promised." ”
She tapped her pipe.
"My decision to recruit you to the Scholars Alliance is enough for you to thank me, boy, the Scholars Alliance is not an organization that anyone can join! Isn't [the Book of Prometheus] good enough? ”
Scott remained unmoved
"Let's not talk about whether you have the right to recruit new people on your own in the Academy Alliance......
He said coldly, watching Graplan's reaction closely.
Sure enough, Graplan's eyes flickered slightly when he heard him say this.
Scott instantly confirmed his guess -
It is not the lady in front of me who is in charge of recruiting himself to join the Scholars Alliance, but someone else.
He continued: "[The Book of Prometheus] didn't help me that much. ”
Without waiting for Grappland to retort, he gave his reasons.
"When it comes to magic, I have a clear plan for my own path forward, and I have been recognized by my professors."
"And so far, the knowledge I need to learn is available at Hogwarts, and I don't need [the Book of Prometheus] to help."
"In that case, why should I go to the trouble of finding obscure knowledge that I might not even need to earn credits? For me, it was a complete waste of time and more than worth the cost. ”
Hearing his answer, Grapeland was a little stunned.
Scott thought this was normal, as the lady didn't know what luxurious educational resources he could enjoy at Hogwarts.
She was still retorting to Scott, saying, "Indeed, Hogwarts can give you basic and advanced knowledge, which is enough for you now. But what about the future? You're a Muggle-born wizard, where do you get your higher, more secretive knowledge? ”
Scott laughed straight away.
He asked Graplan, "Excuse me, is there a better master of charms in the League of Scholars than Professor Flitwick?" Or, are there better Transfiguration masters than Professors Dumbledore and McGonagall? ”
Grapeland was directly stuck.
Obviously, she couldn't tell anyone who was more authoritative in the realm of spells and transfiguration than the three professors.
"Whether you believe it or not, these three professors will not refuse any of my requests." Scott added, "I'm sure you've heard that the kind Professor Flitwick also took the time to train me in dueling. ”
Graplane just shut his mouth.
Scott, on the other hand, smiled again.
He thought with some pride that he had left Grapeland speechless before he had even moved out of Ravenclaw.
"So, it doesn't matter to me if there is [the Book of Prometheus] or not."
He shrugged his shoulders.
Though...... [The Book of Prometheus] wasn't really as useless as he said it was, but he couldn't let Grapelin take advantage of him.
With a wave of his hand, Scott crossed Grapeland and walked straight into the Forbidden Forest.
