【Redemption】Section 3 Wally (I)

I'm not the first to lead people against the elves, and few people know this because I killed the real hero who could have led people to a revolution. Pen % fun % Pavilion www.biquge.info

I used to have a son with my wife, Tova, named Jonas. For me in the past, my family was everything to me, they were my whole world, so when they died in front of me, my world collapsed.

They were killed by me.

I haven't learned much, I just know that others are good to me, I am good to him, he gives me benefits, I help him do things. I used to mine for the elves, and I was born with great strength, maybe they just took a fancy to me, but I didn't have the strength I have now, and I'll talk about the reason for my "stone arm" later. Those sharp-eared monsters don't know why they've always had a soft spot for gem ores, they probably use those things to build equipment, but I've been in the mine there have been several inspections above, and from the eager eyes of those guys, I think they're looking for something, but I didn't think about it, anyway, these things are not something that little people like us can understand.

I was paid very little in the mines, my wife grew vegetables at home, and my seven-year-old son helped his mother with the farm at home. The money we make is only enough for our family not to go hungry, so there is no way for Jonas to go to the church in the town, not to mention that there are not many churches left to teach under the suppression of the elves. The elves didn't let us learn knowledge and skills, and kept us in captivity like livestock, just to work for them and kill us if necessary to save supplies. At first, my dull brain didn't have any intention of resisting, I just felt that it was enough for the family to live so smoothly.

But God always likes to joke with us little people. After a period of working like a few years, the dragon came.

I still remember that it was a dead hot summer, I was digging in the mine so hot that I saw that there was no one to supervise the work at that time and came out to breathe, I just walked out of the mine and felt the ground shake, followed by a roar that was so loud that it would burst my ears, and as soon as I looked up, I saw a huge figure passing overhead, and then there was an explosion on the hill behind me, and the mine where I was working collapsed in front of my eyes, and was buried by the rocks, and became a ruin. I was the only one who worked in the mine who survived, but before I could congratulate myself on my survival, a cruel fact came to me - I had no job.

But my doom didn't end there. As I walked home thinking about what to do next, I saw the dragon fly towards where my house was, and I saw in the distance that it spewed a huge ball of fire downwards, and then it flapped its wings and flew away. When I saw this, I immediately ran home, but when I got to the village, I found that I had no home. The dragon's fireball burned almost the entire village, and my house and farmland were charred, but my wife and son were not at home, and they were still alive. That day, the life I thought I could live forever was devastating, and I realized for the first time that you can't be too satisfied with the status quo, because that fucking god is always waiting to teach you a good lesson.

Then the elves came and came to clean up the pieces. They have great healing spells, but they don't want to waste any energy on us. They dispose of us like garbage, they throw all those who have lost their ability to work and move into deep pits, they simply destroy half of the houses they simply destroy them all, and we have no ability to resist but watch it happen.

We had no jobs and no homes, and just as I was thinking about what to do next, one of the pointy-eared monsters came over to talk to me. He told me that he was the guardian of the elven royal family, and that the royal family needed to choose a few capable people among the humans to do things for them, and when he saw that I had no home and no job, he said that he would provide me with a house to work and settle in, and that it would pay me a lot of money.

My heart was moved.

As I've said before, I don't have that strong sense of racial pride, and I don't care what the elves do to my fellow humans, as long as they treat me well and allow me to take better care of my family. So I took the job.

Before I started my new job, the elven guard asked me a question. He asked me if I had noticed anything unusual in my previous mining in the mines. I asked him what the anomaly was, and he said it was like a strange light and a shaking of the ground or something. When I said that the ores reflected all kinds of light, and that it was common for the underground mining ground to shake, it was not an anomaly, and he didn't ask any more questions, telling me that I would go to the city of Elton in the north in a few days.

So I took my wife and children on the road together. We walked for five days with what little dry food we had left and a little bit of vegetable root dug up from the charred fields before we arrived in Elton. Elton City is the closest big city to our village, and it is inhabited by elves and a small number of humans chosen by the elves, and we little people usually don't even dare to think about living in it, but with the help of the elven guard, our family was able to live in such a place, which makes me very grateful to him. I said before that I would do things for others if I gave me a favor, so I decided that I would do my best to repay him for his kindness to our family.

After I explained my intentions to the guard guarding the gate and gave the guard his name, he let us into the city. I was blown away when everything inside the city was presented to me. Towering minarets, known as the Tower of Serim, were the residence of the elven royal family, and the walls of the city divided the inside and outside into two worlds. Nine walls radiating from the minaret in the center of the city divide the town outside the tower into nine areas. These nine areas are said to be named after the legendary nine gods, but the nine gods in the mouths of the elves are a little different from the nine gods we know, and these rough people like me are not interested in understanding and delving into them, after all, I only know a few gods that we "know". The interior of Elton City is bustling, with unheard of bazaars and apothecaries and ingredient stores. The houses in the city differed from our remote villages in that they were not made of wood, but were almost entirely hewn out of a single boulder, but the chisels were more meticulous than the ashlar stones, as if the stone had been built like this, and it must have been the result of the great craftsmanship of the elves.

The arrival of a few of us ordinary humans in tattered clothes attracted the attention of some of the people in the city, most of them were pointy-eared and long-faced elves, and only a few of the gorgeously dressed but flattering smiles and nodding were talking to other elves, and when they saw us, the servile faces immediately became proud, and they raised their heads and squinted at us with contempt. My son asked me, "Father, why are they looking at us like that?" and I didn't know how to answer him, and Tova put his finger on the child's lips and said, "Shhh

Our new home was on the outer side of the Volker district, and I later learned that "Volker" was the elves' name for "Valcken", the god of fire and craft. Volker is the least popular area among the nine districts, and most of the humans in the city live in this area, and I heard that the ancestors of the elves were once cursed by Valken, maybe this is some kind of futile revenge on their part.

After settling my wife and children, I started my new job. In the beginning, my job was just to keep the law and order in the Volker district, patrolling around every day, and every few days in those days, different royal elves would come to me to ask me about my previous work, and they would always mention the mine I worked in and ask me if I had found anything, and that's when I realized that they would not let us come to Elton City by chance, but because I was the only one alive in that mine. At this point, I was convinced that they were looking for something, and that it was probably in the mine I was digging. Later I learned that it was a member of the Elven royal family who had financed the mine in the first place.

When I realized what they were up to, they stopped letting me patrol. They gave me a new job, and I had my first chance to enter the heart of Elton City, the "Servim District", where the Cerrim Tower is located. I'll never forget what I saw that day, I thought the nine districts outside Elton City were spectacular enough, but once again after entering the Celem District, it exceeded my imagination. The entrance to the Sullim district is only the north and south gates, and the gates are imposed with powerful spell barriers, which only those who have been approved by the royal family can pass through the barriers, and if others want to break in, not to mention whether the elven guards guarding the gate will dismantle him in pieces, the moment he hits the barrier, he will be reduced to ashes, as if it never existed. I know this because I witnessed a human like me rushing forward with a sword in his mouth shouting freedom, but as soon as his hand touched the barrier, the whole person dissipated like dust, and the next second I heard the crisp sound of the sword falling to the ground.
