Chapter 45: The Building

The destination of the guest remains a mystery. Teng Yunshen, www.biquge.info pen "Fun", turned the steering wheel in the shape of a cross and followed the bus up a quiet uphill slope. He belongs to this city and has lived in this city for more than ten years. The city remained a mystery to him.

The city was so big that he quickly lost his way. He may or may not have been here. One thing is certain, though: he never drove through the neighborhood on his own.

Teng Yunshen was a little worried about the problem of gasoline. It could be gasoline, or it was unlikely to be gasoline. All in all, the kind of power that makes this sports car rumble can be a problem if it is depleted before the guests reach their destination. In the first world, cars are not everywhere.

The bus unhurriedly passes through a quiet and even somewhat deserted neighborhood, and of course, much more briskly than when it stops and goes, it is as leisurely as a sightseeing bus.

The surrounding scenery is quite attractive - not referring to the base world, but to the first world where Teng Yunshen is located - high-rise buildings and colorful buildings.

He saw a building made of several giant discarded printers stacked on top of each other, standing in a crooked balance. What does this mean? The landscapes of the First World are always intriguing, they are bizarre, but they reflect a certain sense of truth.

"Help me". Teng Yunshen was stunned, he subconsciously stepped on the accelerator and accelerated, so that he could catch up with the information captured in the blink of an eye...... He immediately realized that he had done something wrong. He let go of the throttle, depressed the clutch baffle, and slowed down. Teng Yunshen turned his head and looked behind him.

No one called for help. It was himself who made the sound, because he witnessed two shocking words, "Help me."

The white paper spit out by the giant printer hangs down from the dark glass window, like a cheap curtain that no one cares about, shivering in the steep autumn wind.

But the words above are not unnoticed...... At least Teng Yunshen will not turn a blind eye. He parked the car. There was no one around. Teng Yunshen returned to the baseline world, watching the bus ride of the guests fade away.

The phone beeped, it reconnected to the internet, and received a lackluster text message. Teng Yunshen dialed Su Ruiwen's number while observing the office building standing in front of him.

He thought that neither Su Ruiwen nor anyone else would pick up the phone. A methodical chime would sound from the earpiece, endlessly tormenting what little patience he had left. Isn't it? It's not easy to get through to a wizard, especially when he needs it so badly...... Ever since he started dealing with wizards, trouble has been going on with him one after another.

However, Su Ruiwen immediately picked up the phone. "How's the situation, do you need support?" Teng Yunshen was not ready to say anything, and the girl entered the state.

Teng Yunshen stammered and replied, "I can't say for sure. She was on a bus and I saw something else on the side of the road. ”

Su Ruiwen's voice became nervous: "Restless goblins?"

"No, it's an office building, 'Burj Al Arbag'. Teng Yunshen frowned, "It's a bunch of printers in the first world, and I saw the words 'save me' written on a piece of paper...... Does that mean there's someone inside calling for help?"

"Look into it. The girl on the other end of the line seemed relieved.

"What about the original goal?"

"Send me the license plate number of the bus. We can continue to track her with the Patrol's tools. Su Ruiwen analyzed, "You enter the building to protect the person who sent the distress signal. ”

"Did you find the wizard?"

"Not yet. I'm downstairs, but the guy is hiding in the crowd. Su Ruiwen said a little angrily, "First of all?"

"Okay. I'll take care of it here. ”

"Avoid the cameras. Su Ruiwen reminded, "If you are not sure about anything, just look for me." Good bye. The girl hung up.

Teng Yunshen put away his phone, and then looked at the building in front of him again. A typical office building, with considerable decoration, but not suitable for settling in. The people inside are always busy, worthy of envy and sympathy. Teng Yunshen once imagined that he would work in such a place and become part of the middle class......

Today, that thought has vanished. What he has to do is not something that a white-collar worker sitting in an office can do.

He approached the building and took another look at the First World landscape. The curtains rustled in the wind, and only part of the handwriting on the white paper was revealed. The monotonous black lines lack practical meaning and no longer look so shocking. But he found no comfort in it. Someone needs help, and he doesn't even know if the other person is still alive. He gets a distress signal, but he may not be able to do anything.

Teng Yun narrowed his eyes and stared at the long paper, trying to capture more and more information. The wizard's mana opened up new horizons for him, but that didn't mean he could take advantage of these subtle colors and lusters. He was able to tell the difference, the difference between black and black, the difference between white and white, but that's it. He was not clear about what those differences meant.

The young wizard reluctantly withdrew his gaze and regretted such a useless attempt. He wasted seconds, perhaps precious, from life to death...... Who knows? The landscape of the baseline world returned to his field of vision, the pale blue glass walls reflecting the rising sunlight and glowing with pleasing colors.

Everything was very usual. There are so many decent jobs here that people will want to come here for, and they can't imagine the despair hidden in them. Of course, perhaps the matter has long since passed, leaving only the vain worries of the wizards, and not a chance to redeem them.

Teng Yun climbed the stairs. He doesn't belong here, and even the steps under people's feet are much brighter than his. He went through the battles and was in the dust. But that's not the worst part. Even if his clothes are clean, they still don't fit in with the atmosphere. Here, people come and go in and out of the country, even the service personnel who maintain the vegetation are dressed in meticulous uniforms.

He walked into the hall nervously. The security guard looked at him politely. He looked suspicious, but his hands were empty, and he didn't seem to be visibly threatening. Besides, it is not wise to judge people by their appearance.

Teng Yunshen tried to pretend to be calm and walked slowly to the elevator. The white paper hung down from the height of the fifth floor, although it didn't necessarily happen there, but this was Teng Yunshen's only clue.
