Chapter 1067 Non-mainstream
Yun Yao has been teaching in the West for more than ten years, and the effect is very good, and many monks are thinking of changing jobs. It can be regarded as a small revenge on the Western religion, who made them always want to cut leeks.
However, there is indeed no shortage of people in the sect now, and it makes little sense for the monks to jump ship or not. However, if they are willing to abandon the darkness and turn to the light, the interception of religion will certainly be welcomed.
"Devouring the Starry Sky: Signing in to Become a God"
The monks were struggling, and some of the monks thought that there was no need to worry at all, and they could continue to be bodhisattvas. But this obviously can't last long, if the Western religion can't cut leeks, then the life of all monks will become more and more difficult. Although there are still Buddha countries that are working hard to produce, but the competitors facing Buddha countries are Xianmeng, even if Buddhism has some advantageous industries, but it is still not as good as Xianmeng in terms of comprehensive competitiveness.
Buddha is also trying hard to maintain the market, struggling to find the direction, and there is a lot of pressure.
The West teaches to maintain great prosperity, which requires a cost, and if you can't cut leeks, you can only rely on the monks to work hard. The monks are not happy, aren't they practicing just to get rid of the sea of suffering? Is it to jump from one sea of suffering to another?
The first step out of the sea of suffering is to get rid of production, from labor production.
I have been working hard all the time, and my body can't get rest, how can I get out of the sea of suffering? The existence of the Buddha Kingdom is a serious violation of the Dharma, and if you work so hard to produce products, can you still cultivate the Buddha well?
Many bodhisattvas and Buddhas, while enjoying the funds provided by the Buddha Kingdom, criticized the Buddha Kingdom for violating the teachings.
Although it is said that everyone has Buddha nature, Buddhism has restricted laborers from becoming Buddhas from the beginning. For example, if you don't kill, how can a worker not kill when he is working? Isn't it normal to go down with a hoe and kill an earthworm and a silkworm? If you turn over a piece of land, you have to kill something.
Then the laborer can't become a Buddha?
And the beginning of the practice is to sit and meditate, then the laborers will definitely not have time to sit in meditation, they don't work, who will support them?
Therefore, although Buddhism claims that everyone becomes a Buddha, obstacles are erected everywhere in the process of practice. It was not until the advent of Zen Buddhism that the problem of laborers becoming Buddhas was completely solved. Zen Buddhism is epiphany, so the laborer should work as he should, and when he has an epiphany, he puts down his hoe and becomes a Buddha.
But in Western Buddhism, Zen Buddhism is actually very weak, and it is easy to understand that cultivation is not only based on talent, but also requires resources. Many believers in Zen Buddhism are just ordinary people, where are there so many resources?
In addition, Zen Buddhism has only appeared for a thousand years, and the precepts such as non-killing have appeared for a long, long time, and there are many monks who have practiced according to this precept. And according to Zen Buddhism, there are very few people who succeed in practicing enlightenment.
Besides, if you give a lecture, you don't talk about epiphany, so although Master Huineng created an epiphany and opened up a broad market for Western teaching, Master Huineng's own position in Western teaching is very embarrassing, and it is not as good as Golden Cicada and Dou Victory Buddha.
Master Huineng is a dog in the Western Sect and has made a great contribution, but the Western Sect will not repay him anything, but will hide him in the snow.
Fortunately, Master Huineng is a master after all, so he is calm. It's just that he was a little disappointed when he looked at the chaos of Western religion. He didn't care how he was treated, he was just dissatisfied with the status quo of Western religion.
As a monk fighting for resources, the miasma of Western Elysium is really too urban. How can it be a monk, the precepts are not observed, they will grab resources when they see them, and they also turn a blind eye to the people who are struggling in the sea of suffering, and keep saying that they want to help them get out of the sea of suffering, but in fact, they want the people to stay in the sea of suffering, but the value created by the people has to be handed over, and the current situation of Western religion is too sad.
"It is said that they are free from the sea of suffering, but in the end, they still can't give up their cultivation, and in the end, everyone's goal is to grab resources and become a Buddha, not to become an enlightened person." Master Huineng saw that the problem with Western Religion was that Western Religion was also a sect of cultivation, and they sought to become immortals, not enlightenment.
Putting the cart before the horse, only those who become enlightened are truly Buddhas, and the pursuit of resources to improve the realm is nothing but becoming immortals. What is the difference between an immortal and an outside monk?
Becoming an immortal is not the same as becoming a Buddha, the previous monks were mistaken. Master Huineng believes that the goal of becoming a Buddha is to open up wisdom and become an enlightened being. Cultivating immortals is the pursuit of mana and supernatural powers, refining magic weapons and elixirs.
Huineng believes that if you want to solve the problems of Western teaching, you must first give up the obsession of becoming an immortal, and only in this way can you give up resources and cultivate Buddhism with peace of mind.
This will definitely not be welcomed by everyone, Western religion has been a sect from the Shamen era to the present, and it will be changed if it is changed? Huineng is just a non-mainstream monk and is not qualified to make such a request at all.
However, Huineng still has to say, not only in the Buddha country, but also in Lingshan. "We have gone astray now, cultivating immortals is not the same as cultivating Buddhas, and we can't jump from one sea of suffering to another." He is bitter-hearted.
"How did you jump from one sea of bitterness to another? Through practice, we are freed from birth, old age, sickness, and death, that is, from the sea of suffering. The monk retorted.
"But cultivating immortals will also die, the five decays of heaven and man, calamities, and various other reasons will also die. Moreover, in order to compete for the resources of cultivating immortals, the Western religion is still spreading suffering, which is not right. Cultivating immortals is an obsession, and we should let go of it and work hard to become enlightened. "Huineng hopes that Western education consumes less resources and operates at the lowest cost, so that it can last for a long time.
"Nonsense." The monks don't care, and no one wants to stop them from practicing.
If the monks don't practice, then the Western religion will become a leek, isn't it a man who is a knife and I am a fish? Huineng is just a thousand-year-old monk, and his knowledge is short, and he is not enough to say.
The situation in the Three Realms is so critical, now is the time to practice hard, how can you give up cultivation? What do you say that cultivating immortals is not the same as cultivating Buddhas, and if you don't cultivate immortals, just becoming an enlightened person is not being stoned to death by a magic weapon?
But Huineng said: "What is life and death, what is there to fear? The most important thing to become a Buddha is the middle way, which is to be at peace of mind, that is, to get rid of inner anxiety. But cultivating immortals is because of anxiety, afraid that his cultivation is not as good as others, afraid that his magic weapon is not as good as others, afraid of this and that, how can he not be anxious in his heart? When the mind is anxious and the body is in hell, how can we become a Buddha and benefit all sentient beings? ”
It's a pity that the more Huineng said this, the more the monk ignored him.
However, Monkey King felt that what Hui Neng said also made sense, at least better than his master Tang Seng to understand.
Tang Seng is a highly educated international student, and Huineng is illiterate, can Huineng's lectures be easy to understand. Monkey King doesn't necessarily understand Tang Seng's Buddhism, but he prefers the simple and easy-to-understand Huineng.
If Monkey King is really willing to study, Tang Seng's Enlightenment Sect will definitely be able to understand it. But I don't have much interest, so just listen to Master Huineng's Dharma.
Simple enough. Moreover, Huineng does have the feelings of Pudu sentient beings, and it does give ideas for reducing costs in response to chaos. Of course, the great sage also felt that it would be impossible to go through this path without cultivation, after all, there were many enemies of the Western religion, and if the monk gave up cultivation, he would definitely be liquidated.
But it's still very interesting to listen to it, many of Master Huineng's theories are very appetizing to the Great Sage. It's a pity that the great sage was willing to listen to it, and the other bodhisattvas and Buddhas didn't pay attention to him at all, just treating him as air, directly ignoring him, and not arguing with him.
This disappointed Huineng very much, he opened up the market of epiphany, did not ask the West to give him anything in return, only hoped that the West could be a good example to get out of the sea of suffering, instead of verbally getting rid of the sea of suffering, in fact, rolling in the sea of suffering.
Looking up, there was no one who could help him at all, and just when Huineng was jealous and disappointed, he was summoned to enter the Heavenly Dao.
