Chapter 1088 Paradox
The destruction of the world is the solution to all problems, Taishang Laojun has been thinking, and the final result is that the problem cannot be solved, and the carrier of the solution is the destruction of the world.
As long as the saint and the world disappear together, the ultimate problem of the saint will be solved, and there will be no need to worry about it anymore.
But apparently Yun Yao does not think that the destruction of the world is the correct answer, she thinks that in the face of such unresolved questions, it is best to adopt the Confucian practice of 'not denying, not studying', although it is not scientific, but these ultimate questions are really difficult to answer, and no one says that there is only one answer to the ultimate question. For example, the destruction of the world proposed by Taishang Laojun is also an answer.
It's really hard to say this kind of thing, so it's better to put aside the controversy and develop well.
Taishang Laojun looked at Yun Yao and said, "You can't be regarded as a disciple of Xuanmen, you should belong to the disciple of the hundred schools of Zhuzi." ”
Yun Yao hurriedly said: "The thoughts of the hundred schools of thought also originate from the Xuanmen. This is true, the thought of Xuanmen is the most basic knowledge summarized by observing nature and society, and Confucianism and Mo are developed on the basis of Xuanmen.
The so-called Great Dao is free of benevolence and righteousness, but Xuanmen's attitude towards the distribution relationship is to interfere less and follow nature more. As a traverser, Yun Yao is accustomed to concentrating on big things, so he emphasizes the distribution relationship, which is similar to Confucianism.
Confucianism emphasizes ritual music, which is to emphasize distribution, ritual is the ranking in the altar, and music is the exchange of different ranks. The Mohists' love and non-aggression is also a kind of distribution, and it is also through distribution to stabilize society.
Therefore, Lao Jun is not wrong to say that Yun Yao is more like a disciple of the hundred schools of thought, because among all the saints, Yun Yao attaches the most importance to distribution, and he is also the saint who attaches the most importance to the practice of distribution relationship.
"However, you have indeed absorbed many of the ideas of the hundred schools of thought, such as 'respecting ghosts and gods and staying away', for the question of the ultimate goal of the saint, you choose not to deny the existence of the question, but not to delve into the answer to the question." Lao Jun said.
"Because I'm only a shallow learner, I really can't think of an answer to this kind of question, but there is always a question hanging in my heart, and people can't settle down, so it's better to put down the problem and not think, and think more about the problem of development." Yun Yao said that he didn't have the ability to answer, so he didn't answer, and just went to be his own saint dividend.
"Aren't you worried that the red will run out and the sect will decay?" Lao Jun continued to ask.
Yun Yao said: "There are things that cannot be done, which shows that although the saint is very complete in cultivation, as a living being, as an existence, it is still not perfect, and there is still room for improvement." I believe that everything is like a cycle of spring, summer, autumn and winter, and that there will be a decline and a revival in the future, but the idea of the Interception will take deep root and wait to sprout like a seed. ”
"Does such a cycle really make sense? The four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter continued, and it was always like this, and finally everything was numb. "Lao Jun said that if you can't get out of the cycle, does everything make sense?
Yun Yao didn't know that there was so much meaning, and she wasn't a party of meaning. She very much doubted that Lao Jun had enlightened his brain, and his mind was full of unanswered questions.
Nonsense, if there is an answer, there is no need to think. It's because he didn't answer that Lao Jun had to think about it over and over again. If they were as stupid as Yun Yao, so 'respecting ghosts and gods and staying away', and not thinking about the ultimate question, then the saint would not be able to go any further.
Of course, although Lao Jun is very tough, but the ultimate question is really difficult to answer, at present, he is an ultimate question to lead to more ultimate questions, and finally found that there are only questions, no answers.
Just for the question of the purpose of the saint, Lao Jun spent a lot of brain cells, and finally found the answer to the question of destroying the world. Lao Jun is doing nothing and doing nothing, and the world does not fight with him, which shows that he does not practice, but it does not mean that he does not think, and it is impossible to have a work like "Tao Te Ching" if he does not think.
The problem is that Lao Jun's thinking does not always have an answer.
Yun Yao said that he studied Confucius at this time, left his thinking to Lao Jun, and became a person who said but did not do. To describe is to describe, to paraphrase, and to do is to innovate. Confucius said that he only described the wisdom of his ancestors, and did not innovate. Yun Yao is self-aware and thinks that he is not capable of giving answers, so learning Confucius is the best.
Lao Jun didn't say anything when he saw Yun Yao's unmotivated appearance, because among the seven saints, he was the one who had really been thinking about it, and the other saints were all obsessed with the unpredictable changes of the Heavenly Dao, and did not further think about the essence behind the changes.
"I thought that becoming the seventh saint would make a difference, but I didn't expect you to be just another saint bonus." Lao Jun sighed, his eyes continued to fall on the obscure shadow of the Heavenly Dao, and said: "There is a beginning and an end, there is Pangu opening the sky, there is the extinction of all things, do you think this shadow is not like the chaos at the beginning of everything?" ”
Yun Yao heard this, and immediately said, "Don't scare me, Lao Jun. She was really afraid of some kind of world-destroying catastrophe, especially she didn't want any evil power to really brew in the Heavenly Dao, and continued: "Besides, the Three Realms were born according to the needs of the Heavenly Dao, why should they destroy the world? There's no reason for that. ”
"There is no reason for the birth of the Three Realms of the Heavenly Dao, since there is no reason to live, there is naturally no reason to die." Lao Jun said: "Is there anyone in the Three Realms who has the power to reject the Heavenly Dao now? Will the Heavenly Dao produce a power to restrain itself? ”
It's a mystery again.
If we follow the theory of the unity of contradictory opposites, the Heavenly Dao should also have the strength to restrain itself. But for now, even a saint can't say no to the Heavenly Dao, and if the Heavenly Dao wants to destroy the world, it really can't be stopped.
"The more I explore the Heavenly Dao, the more I feel the profundity of the Heavenly Dao, and at the same time, countless questions arise, I feel that the Heavenly Dao is going to swallow me, but I can't refuse the Heavenly Dao, and it can even be said that even the Heavenly Dao can't stop the Heavenly Dao. Fellow Daoist, as the seventh saint, I see in you a trace of the ability to resist the Heavenly Dao, maybe you can reject the Heavenly Dao and become the key to completing the Heavenly Dao. ”
Yun Yao said that Lao Jun also thinks too highly of himself, but this question reminds Yun Yao of a religious paradox, that is, whether God can make a stone that he can't lift. If God were omniscient and omnipotent, He would be able to lift all the stones in the world. But if he can lift all the stones, then he cannot make a stone that he cannot lift, and since he cannot make it, then he is not omniscient.
It seems that the same is true of the Heavenly Dao, if the Heavenly Dao is omnipotent, then all its evolution will inevitably be implemented, so can the Heavenly Dao go against its own arrangement? If the Heavenly Dao cannot go against its own arrangement, then the Heavenly Dao is not omnipotent, and it is also restricted.
Lao Jun had already faintly sensed that something terrible would be born in the Heavenly Dao, and even the Heavenly Dao itself could not stop it.
Yun Yao said: "If the Heavenly Dao is omnipotent, then all its arrangements can be implemented. But if everything brewing in the Heavenly Dao will inevitably be implemented, and the Heavenly Dao cannot stop the process of implementation, then the Heavenly Dao is not omnipotent, because it can't stop itself, this is a paradox. "Maybe what is brewing in the Heavenly Dao can be stopped by the Heavenly Dao itself, and it can be implemented without being implemented."
Yun Yao thinks that Heavenly Dao can stop her.
But Lao Jun said: "As far as my current observation is concerned, no one can refuse the changes brewing within the Heavenly Dao, not even the Heavenly Dao itself. ”
