Chapter 2: Ghouls

It rained in the sky, and the rain fell from the sky.

This is the rain of the end times, looking up at the sky of the night, in the faint starlight, William stared at the boy opposite, the rain drenched the bodies of the two.

William lay on the ground and opened his mouth wide, like a fish on land, desperately trying to drink, to survive.

Hunger, exhaustion, cold, perceiving pain and the need to excrete, his body was aching, not a dream, he had really crossed over, everything that happened was telling him that he was still alive.

Hans looked blankly at his companion, his heart no longer beating, his body no longer aching, so he could not feel hunger and thirst.

The two looked at each other, and the emotions in their hearts were different. The rain came so violently and so suddenly.

"William, let's go home!"

Hans felt the rain wet on his body, he didn't feel anything about it, he didn't feel comfortable, he didn't feel uncomfortable, it was just that his human instinct made him hate rainy days, he hated his body getting wet, and he came over to help his friend.

William was the son of a blacksmith, Kuhn was the son of a baker, Hess was the son of a tailor, and Hans was the son of a knight, all four of them were freedmen and had quite good social status in the village, but that was all.

If nothing else, William would inherit his father's profession as a blacksmith, Kuhn would inherit the family's mill as a baker, and Hess would become a tailor, and he did not know what kind of business he would do.

His father was a knight who served in the hands of a local lord, a baron, and although he owned a manor, he could not inherit the title of knighthood under primogeniture because he had two older brothers.

If his eldest brother becomes a knight, then he and his other brother can only become his eldest brother's knights, and this is still a lifelong thing.

The baron had only seven or eight villages in his hands, and there were only two knights under his hands, and he could not become a knight, so he could either work for his brother, make a cold bench at home and eat leisurely, or look for another good errand.

Hans considered himself a knight with extraordinary martial arts, and if it weren't for the fact that he was the third son in the family, I am afraid that he would have been able to become a real knight.

He was unwilling to be reduced to a priest in a church or an apprentice to an apothecary, so when he heard that there were evil dragons raging and brave people who wanted to slay dragons, he naturally wanted to gather his friends in the village and join the ranks of the dragon slayers.

William, as the son of a blacksmith, was able to get weapons and equipment from his family's blacksmith shop, perhaps using "stealing" more accurately.

Kuhn was in charge of the food as the baker on the team, and he had a mill at home, and he had a lot of money.

Hess was a tailor who could prepare clothes for everyone, and each one had a sign on it, "I struck seven," to celebrate future victories.

And he, Hans, is the son of a knight, who is proficient in the skills of knights, and has martial arts, so he is naturally qualified to be the leader of the team.

It's just that fate is always so unpredictable, and who can know the direction of fate except the great gods.

Except for himself and William, everyone else died, killed by the evil dragon, the people of the mercenary group died, and the strongest brave man was also killed by the evil dragon.

When William heard Hans's words, cold sweat broke out on his forehead, as the leading big brother of the four-person team, Hans was not only in the team, but also a well-deserved leader in William's mind, and Hans was the absolute center of everyone in the village.

The reason is simple.

Not only is Hans the most powerful and the highest martial arts, but at the same time, Hans's father is a knight, he is the son of a knight, and the fathers of William and others are all free people, and they are naturally a head taller than everyone.

The knight has already stepped into the aristocracy with half a foot, and as the son of a knight, he should naturally have a status above everyone. Therefore, if Hans had spoken before, then Wilhelm would never have refused, and could only obey.

It's just that Hans is now undead, and William is no longer the William he used to be.

The rain was still dripping, and the clothes on the two were already soaked, making it even more difficult for William, who had already lost his physical strength and felt that his body was heavy.

William did not answer.

He stared at his friend with a complicated gaze, and the current situation is like a person in a zombie movie who saw his friend with his own eyes, his relatives were attacked and turned into zombies, and his relatives who were originally affectionate have also become inexplicable terrifying monsters.

"What's the matter, William, why don't you speak, don't you want to go home?"

Hans said with some displeasure, still retaining the memories of his life, maintaining the condescending and commanding tone of his life.

Even if it's a friend, he's a friend who acts as a big brother.

"Go home!"

William looked at him blankly, wanting to say that Hans was dead, but he saw that his eyes flashed red, and there was some sincere affection in his eyes.

William didn't know why, but when he saw this look, he instantly felt that his heart was touched.

Go home, go home, it turns out that after Hans became an undead, his greatest desire turned out to be to go home.

"Alright, let's go home, and bring Kuhn and Hess home with us."

William nodded and said, he remembered that the former owner of his body actually wanted to go home.

Wilhelm stood up with Hans's help, searched for the body of his companion, and began his journey home.

Hans didn't suspect anything, he didn't think much about it when he saw Wilhelm pick up a sword from the ground and hold it in his hand, the way home was dangerous, and it was reasonable to be fully prepared.

He never thought that William, as his close friend and loyal younger brother, was actually preparing to deal with him with the sword.

…………

The dragon is powerful, more powerful than the world can imagine.

In the poems recited by the bards, the strength of the evil dragon has been mentioned countless times, and it is not a problem to slaughter cities and destroy the country, but the bard often mentions that even such a powerful dragon can still be defeated by human bravery.

The valiant and brave man who defeated the dragon, gained glory and status, and became famous all over the continent, and all the kings looked forward to marrying their princess to him and commanding the armies of their own country.

Evil dragons are terrible, but the brave are stronger.

However, all the people who participated in the dragon slaying, whether it was Hans, the dead Hess and Kuhn, and even the leader of the mercenary group, Lord Brave, were not the legendary dragon slayer warriors in poetry.

Even if there is a difference in strength between the two knights in the village, it seems that there is a clear difference between the brave and the brave.

Therefore, it was the same brave man who came to slay the dragon, and the brave man followed by Hans and William was really no match for the powerful dragon, even if he hired a mercenary group and recruited nearby villagers, it was actually useless for the feat of slaying the dragon.

"Sure enough, we followed the wrong person, and the brave man is definitely the weakest brave man."

Hans couldn't stop complaining, it didn't matter if the brave man died, but because of his lack of strength, he had even affected so many people in the mercenary group, and even his two friends, thinking of this, he couldn't help but feel emotional, and his eyes glowed faintly red.

"The next time you look for a master, you should still find a powerful master, someone who really has the destiny of heaven."

Hans went on to say, apparently not dead set on slaying dragons, and still wanted to pursue the true Destiny Hero.

The dragon took the beautiful princess from the palace, and the king made a promise that whoever could save the princess would be able to marry the princess and become king.

If the brave man can successfully slay the dragon and save the princess, then the brave man can become the king, and the person who follows the brave man to slay the dragon is undoubtedly the founding father of the brave dynasty, from the dragon hero.

"We were just unlucky this time, next time we must be more accurate! But I always feel that you smell like you, it's so fragrant! ”

Hans said, the red light in his eyes becoming more and more dazzling, and licked his lips with his tongue, "Did you hide Hess's jerky?" ”

William's body trembled when he heard this, and he quickly shook his head, saying no, with a firm attitude, and finally dodged under Hans's suspicious gaze.

Forget it when you see the undead, I haven't heard that the undead will evolve into ghouls.

The other world is too dangerous!

It's too hard for me as a traverser.
