Chapter 27: The Prophecy of Fate

The Kingdom of Macedonia, located in northern Greece, was the city-state in which Hercules was currently traveling, and it was he who had been commissioned by the king of Macedonia to destroy the pirates.

Hercules and his team roamed the territory of Greece as mercenaries, being hired by the kings of various Greek city-states to accomplish unimaginable tasks, while Iolaus continued to exaggerate the legend and eventually created the legend of Hercules as a demigod.

All the Greeks, including the kings of the Greek city-states and the nobles, believed that Hercules was the son of Zeus.

"You've really decided to add this kid of unknown origin to our ranks."

Ottolikos grabbed Hercules by the arm and tried to dissuade him from letting this child of unknown origin join him, they were mercenaries, not kindergartens, and he had no hobby of taking care of children.

"I think he should be allowed to enter Calais, it must be fate, an oracle from Zeus." Amphiatus wipes his spear with a cloth as he utters an oracle.

Amphias, as the prophet of the team, when he used the oracle as a reason, still made Otolikos unable to say anything against it, especially since Hercules had already made a decision.

"Hercules, son of Zeus, guardian of great Athens." William sat on the campfire and stirred up the firewood with a stick, while Hercules sat next to him.

When Hercules asked him if he was a human or a god, William did not answer, because answering yes or no would not bring any benefit, but would disturb the development of fate, which was not what he wanted, so he could only be silent, and there would be some benefit if he did not answer.

"Guardian of the great Athens, this was a long time ago." Hercules said self-deprecatingly, "I have been utterly exiled by King Eurystheus of Athens, and I will never be able to return to Athens."

In mythology, Hercules killed his wife and children and then began self-exile, and the same is true of Hercules in this world.

William looked at the campfire absentmindedly, and Hercules' disheartened expression reflected in the firelight did not seem to have anything to talk about between adults and children.

"Why do you want to follow me?" Hercules asked.

"For thou art the idol whom I once worshipped." William looked up at Hercules' face reflecting the firelight, his eyes showing determination, "I listened to your story when I was young, and I wanted to be a hero like you, and when I came to you, I think it must be the guidance of fate, because the two of us have a deep fate."

"Do you also want to complete the twelve great trials? Actually, these are all fakes, Hydra Hydra is actually just a human in snake skin, and the Nemean lion is not invulnerable, everyone said that I killed him with my bare hands, but in fact I also used weapons." Z.br>

Hercules smiled, and for some reason seeing William's childlike appearance reminded him of his own child.

Three years ago, the king of Athens told him that in the hearts of the Athenians, he was worshiped like a god, and he replied that he did not want to be a god, he wanted to be a good husband and a good father.

"It doesn't matter, people need a hero, whether it's real or fake." William said, "As for the twelve great trials......

William was suddenly stunned when he thought of this, it was clear that Hercules of this period had not yet completed his twelve great trials.

"What happens when you complete the 12 trials?" William asked rhetorically suddenly.

"What do you mean by completing the twelve trials?" Hercules was stunned by William's question, and he thought for a moment and said, "According to the oracle, as long as I complete the twelve trials, Hera will not trouble me again."

"Actually, I don't know if Hercules is really the son of Zeus, Hercules and I are both orphans on the streets of Athens, but Hercules' natural divine power makes him different, and after joining the army, he stood out, and was finally favored by the king of Athens and let him perform the most dangerous tasks, many of these tasks are the later twelve trials, which were originally tasks that humans could not complete

It was hard for everyone to believe that not only the king of Athens, but also the citizens of Athens, so there was a saying that Hercules was not a mortal, so we pushed the boat and led people to think of Hercules as the son of Zeus."

Ottolikos came over and said, his sharp gaze fixed on William, and he questioned in a stern voice, "Since I told me the origin of the son of Hercules Zeus, then you tell me why you claim to be the son of Heber, who told you that, and what is your purpose?"

Ottolikos was always wary of the boy, he didn't believe in the boy of unknown origin, William hugged his knees and said, "I am also an orphan, my father and mother have passed away."

William didn't tell a lie, but at the same time he didn't tell the truth, the Greek gods who survived the fairy tale world, except for the river god Hermes, there was basically no one else, whether it was Hercules or Heber, who had fallen, and his biological parents were gone, there was nothing wrong with it at all.

"I know Heber, Heber is the daughter of Zeus and Hera, the goddess of youth, and she is the bartender of Mount Olympus, but I remember that the goddess of wine should be unmarried, right, so who is Heber's husband?"

Iolaus gathered around and spoke with great interest about the shortcomings of William's story, and although the gods of Mount Olympus had many children with humans in legend, and between gods and gods, several goddesses were never married.

That is Zeus's sister Hestia, who lived on earth for a long time, Zeus's two daughters, Artemis, the goddess of the moon and the hunt, Athena, the goddess of war and wisdom, and Hebe, who served as a wine pourer.

To serve as the bartender of the Olympian gods, according to tradition, the goddess must be an unmarried goddess, and the pure unmarried goddess Herb will not have children unless Herb is married.

"If you are going to say that you are the son of Heber, then you also have to codify a husband of Heber, and who else will take over the position of Herbert's winemaker."

Iolaus reminded in a whisper, deliberately flaunting his erudition.

After a moment of silence, William said, "Heber's husband was Hercules, and when Hercules accomplished twelve great feats and thus qualified to become a god, Zeus summoned Hercules to Mount Olympus and declared him a member of the gods, and Hera, in order to reconcile with Hercules, announced that his daughter Heber would marry Hercules."

"Hercules."

William said slowly, and as soon as he finished speaking, there was thunder and lightning flashing in the sky.

Iolaus was stunned and smiled, "I didn't expect you to make up stories better than me, Hercules, Hercules, this name sounds really good, a mortal actually married a goddess, instead of cheating with a goddess like the legend, this is simply amazing."

"Wait, since you say that you yourself are the son of Hebe, then Hercules is the husband of the goddess Hebe, which means that you are the son of Hercules and Hebe, uncle, this little guy says he is your son."

Iolaus couldn't help but smile and said, Hercules was a little stunned, why did he suddenly have such a big son, the worship of children is really troublesome.

"Son of the future!" Amphias, the soothsayer on the team, looked at the little boy and suddenly felt that this was true.

This is a prophecy from Zeus and also fate.
