Chapter 22: The Finale Cherry

If life is a symphony, then Gerus Cherly's song is based on sorrow. Childhood Cherie was no different from other little girls, she loved beautiful dresses and cute dolls. However, when her extraordinary magic was revealed, everything changed.

Demons are a race favored by magic, and Cherie is more favored than her kind. This is not all a good thing, the magic in Cherry's body is excellent in terms of quantity and strength, but not everyone's body can withstand such excellent magic, and Cherry's can't. Because of the oppression of magic, one of the organs in her body has been damaged, and that is her vocal cords. Just as a boy changes his voice as he develops, Cherry's voice changes, not for the better, but in a direction she doesn't want, her voice becomes hoarse, sharp, and uncontrollable, and the words that come out of her mouth always have a sense of yin and yang.

You can imagine what that means to a girl, especially since she's so strong that she can easily take down seven or eight lads of her age. The people around her were so afraid of her that her name was used by many neighbors to scare their disobedient children.

At the age of twenty, Cherie joined Valhalla as a detective. It was here that she felt for the first time that her abilities were being put to use. Thinking that she had found meaning in her life, she put everything she could into mastering the skills needed to be an agent and not socialize with anyone, which made her a contemporaneous existence to look up to, and earned her the title "Queen of Solitude".

Cherly's solitude has always been brought into her work, and she always likes to go it alone no matter what the task, and this almost reckless behavior has put her in danger many times, and she can still see multiple fatal scars on her body. But correspondingly, this madness also brought her some gains, and the feats of completing the mission alone allowed her to climb from junior agent to special agent in only fifteen years. Walking on the brink of death countless times has led her to develop a unique spider web magic, and has changed the name of her from the Queen of Loneliness to the Queen of Spiders.

At the age of thirty-seven, Cherry, a special agent, brought her first junior, and his name was Vincent Ryder. As partners in birth and death, their relationship warmed up a little quickly, to the point of talking about marriage soon. It was the first time in years that Cherie had opened up to someone, and it was the first time she felt love from someone other than her parents. She thought that fate had finally favored her, until she had made a mistake, a mistake that had buried everything

Cherie has never been a person who likes to immerse herself in the past, but at this moment, her mind can't stop flashing through Red's face that is always smiling. From the acquaintance to his final death in her arms, scenes were constantly playing in her head, which is often said to be the case of the marquee.

Over the years at Valhalla, Cherie had done many missions alone, but this time it was different. Acting alone in a city full of potential enemies, without any backup, and the authorities will not even admit her identity until they have strong evidence, this can no longer be said to be a reconnaissance clue, and it is not wrong to say that it is an espionage operation.

Because Jose's previous investigation had alerted Mao Wen in the Misty Forest, Cherie had to enter Mao Wen's city through some special means. Among the gifts given to Mao Wen by the Hegu family was a huge magic mirror, which she hid in the dark box of the mirror for two whole days. Her excellent reciting magic allows her to know when it is best to emerge from the Dark Box without the help of outsiders.

Mao Wen was not interested in the gifts he sent, and after counting, he stacked them in the warehouse. Although they had examined each gift, they had found no mechanism on the mirror. Cherie waited until late at night to crawl out of the mirror, and Mao Wen, who was guarding the warehouse, was easily bypassed by her.

These Mao Wen may be good hunters, and they may be good at tracking the traces of their prey, but when it comes to detecting spellcasters, they are not enough. Cherie easily navigated the patrols of the city, which gave her confidence a little inflated.

So she grabbed a tongue, it was a lone Mao Wen, very young and inexperienced, and was knocked unconscious directly after being attracted by the golden flying spider released by Cherry. Cherie had finished him with a mind reading and hid his body in a gutter, for she had no psychological burden, because she had been told before she had come that Mao Wen might have been involved in some kind of action that endangered the safety of the Empire, and that being kind to others at such times was cruel to herself.

This Mao Wen had just graduated from training camp and was attending his coming-of-age ceremony, and he didn't know much to provide Cherie with any useful information. But his instructors may know something.

Cherie followed the memory of the Mao Wen just now to find his instructor, a lame Mao Wen. However, just because he is physically handicapped doesn't mean he's easier to deal with than his students, and he's a lot more vigilant alone, but Cherie still gags him with a cobweb in the first place and ties him up with a cobweb before he can rip it off.

This Mao Wen knows more things, he knows some hidden fields that Mao Wen has opened up in the forest. Judging from these unregistered fields, Mao Wen's actual grain production is three to forty percent more than what they declared, but they are still importing grain from outside, and the location of the surplus grain is very suspicious.

This is a big thing, and it is difficult to say what the Mao Wen are going to do with that grain. However, from the old instructor's mind, Cherie still didn't get the information she needed, but she knew about some forbidden areas in the city.

After hiding the old instructor's body, Cherie set her next target at a place called the White House, and from the old instructor's memory, she knew that it was the place where Mao Wen's elders worked and handled government decrees, and the status was probably similar to that of the city hall.

Cherie infiltrates the White House just before dawn and searches for Maowen's secret documents, but these documents written in Mao's ancient language leave her in a difficult situation, and she has little way to extract useful information from them, so she has to target Maowen again, who works here, even though it can easily expose her.

Cherie has to admit that she was a little arrogant in her handling of the matter. The night of investigation did not meet any resistance, which made her a little contemptuous of Mao Wen. Without hesitation, she unleashed her own flying spiders, using these little golden flying balls to monitor the entire white house, while she lurked in the shadows, waiting for the right prey, just like a real spider.

Spiders weave webs to catch their prey, but if the hunter can't take his own ability to hunt too large prey, the result is that the webs are broken. Cherie made this mistake, she miscalculated Mao Wen's strength.

She caught a lone gray-robed Mao Wen, and from the memory of the old instructor, she knew that this was Mao Wen's elder. She restrained the guy with a web that restricted the opponent's movement and drained the mana, which is where Cherry's web magic became famous. But she didn't expect that when she cast the mind reading technique, this Elder Mao Wen still had the strength to counter her.

Cherry's mind-reading technique was interrupted, and she saw a red tattoo appear on Elder Maowen's face, and he broke free. Cherie understood her carelessness, Mao Wen's totem magic was unique, and her cobwebs could not completely restrain the other party.

She didn't try to continue to entangle with the other party, because from the moment the other party broke free, she was exposed, this is the enemy's home field, and if she doesn't leave now, it may mean that she can't go anymore. So Cherie didn't hesitate, shot a cobweb at Mao Wen in front of him and immediately ran away.

As soon as she left the white house, a bell rang behind her, and Mao Wen in the city suddenly gathered here like crazy. Cherie didn't plan to spy on any more information, from the head of Elder Mao Wen, she knew that there seemed to be a human experiment going on here, and Shi Zero seemed to have been made for this human experiment, although she didn't know the exact address of the experiment, but it was confirmed that many of the subjects were captured from a village called Saku.

Once the news of Yintian and human experiments spread, it is enough for Valhalla to send people in, as long as the large army arrives, some clues can always be found, and now the trouble is how to pass on the information.

Before coming, Dan told her that this matter involved some high-ranking elders of Valhalla, so it had to be carried out secretly. For this reason, only one person in the entire team that entered the Heart of the Mist knew of her existence, and that was the maid of the Hegu family. In the original plan, she would find out here and give the discovery to the maid, and then she would take the information out at the end of the visit, so that Dan would use it to directly mobilize the garrison near Bourbon into the Misty Forest, where she would continue to monitor and guide the army when it arrived.

But now, everything is out of control. Mao Wen, who was once able to defeat the Demon Spirit Invincible Legion head-on, could really be useless. They may not be very good at detection, but when it comes to tracking, these guys are like maggots on tarsal bones, and they can't shake them off.

Cherie felt like she couldn't even find time to catch her breath. She had just entered an alley, and within a few seconds, two Mao Wen with longbows followed her. She's powerful, but her magic and stamina aren't limitless, and besides, these beast-like creatures are really fast.

After dealing with the two annoying flies, Cherie began to continue the transfer. She didn't think about hiding in the woods, where the Mao Wen had a greater advantage than her. She'd better find a place to hide now, and get the word out to the damn maid.

Cherie thought as she jumped on the roof of the house, she hadn't found a suitable hiding place yet. Suddenly, she felt a pain in her back, and an arrow hit her, knocking her to the ground. Cherie got up from the ground and snapped the arrow behind her back, she couldn't stop now, because to stop would mean death.

Maybe she should continue to hide in that mirror, the special magic mirror is effective in hiding her aura, but Cherie doesn't like to sit still like that.

In another alley, Cherie meets Mao Wen with a large machete, and she subconsciously controls the flying spider to entangle the other party with a spider web, but what she didn't expect was that her spider web magic failed. Time did not allow her to be stunned, and Cherie dodged the machete from her opponent's hand and drew a dagger from her thigh to wipe out the other's neck.

Standing next to the other party's corpse, she gasped for air, "What!?"

Cherie noticed that her voice was a little different and became a little more normal. A gust of cold wind blew at the right time, making Cherie shiver, and there was something wrong with her body. That arrow was poisonous, a poison that dissolved magic.

After working as an agent for a few years, Cherie found a way to treat her vocal cords. In fact, it is very simple, her vocal cords are diseased because of the pressure of the magic in her body, as long as her magic power is weakened, then her throat can be naturally treated.

Her voice was no longer hoarse, and her body was no longer able to withstand the cold wind, all of which showed that she was weakening. In today's circumstances, it's almost fatal, but Cherie doesn't intend to sit still. She burned the dagger in her hand with her magic, then laboriously pulled the half-severed arrow from her back, and scalded the wound with the dagger, the pain nearly fainting her.

Cherie didn't hesitate any longer and began to move towards the warehouse where the magic mirror was kept, she now had to find a place to rest for a while. She held the machete she snatched from the Mao Wen just now and shuttled through the alleys, cutting down Mao Wen who stopped in front of her one by one.

She began to get weak, her mind was uncontrollably cranky, she thought of Red, she thought of the guy who was always smiling, and that's probably what people used to call a marquee.

Cherie had finally made it all the way to the warehouse, and when she finished out the warehouse guards, she already knew that she couldn't hide anymore, she had left too many traces, which would expose the secret of the magic mirror, and that would cause more trouble. She knew she probably wouldn't be able to pass this level, and that mission, that damn mission would end in failure.

Cherie thought so until she saw a small figure, a flying leprechaun, this was the little goblin beside Rong Ruo. It flew out of the warehouse and was startled by the corpse in the doorway.

Cherie didn't hesitate, she grabbed the little goblin, ignored his frightened gaze, and screamed at him, "Tell your master, Saku Village, human experiments!"

The goblin that messed in gave Cherie the last bit of hope, and she ignored the goblin who was scared to cry and threw him out. There is still a little turn for the better, that is, her death, she has to use her death to make Mao Wen think that she failed to pass on the news. In this way, Mao Wen may kick out all the visitors in order to avoid revealing secrets, and this is the last chance.

Cherie limped towards the visitor's quarters, not swaggering, but deliberately leaving some traces of her own blood enough to trace hers. Mao Wen, who had dog-like noses, quickly caught up, and Cherie flipped a few of them, adding more wounds to herself.

The arrow kept coming from a distance, and Cherie held the machete across her chest to block it, but the force knocked her to the ground. Cherry's instinct told her that this was the person who had shot her, and she got up from the ground and followed the trajectory of the arrow to find the gray-robed Mao Wen who shot the arrow, a hateful female Mao Wen.

The guy missed another arrow and immediately put another arrow on the longbow, and Cherie clenched the machete in both hands, waiting for the arrow to arrive.

Boom!

The arrow was once again opened by Cherrig, but her jaw cracked and the machete in her hand slipped as a result, but the female Mauwen did not stop, and the longbow in her hand shot deadly arrows again, and the huge force carried Cherry's body directly and nailed her to the ground.

Cherie tried to get up, but the arrow had already shot through her abdomen with devastating force and shattered her spine, pinning her firmly to her feet, and she looked up behind her, the living quarters were not far away.

"Andre!" Cheley shouted in her loudest voice. The sound of breaking the air sounded again, and she felt that the time was ripe, so she shouted out with all her might: "Andre, these Mao Wen"

A new arrow stuck in her throat, preventing her from saying the next words, and Cherie felt life slip through her body. With the last of her strength, she reached into her arms and felt a harmonica, a relic of Red's.

People always yearn for things they don't have, just like Cherry, whose biggest hobby is singing. Rhett doesn't laugh at her, but encourages her to go for treatment, but Cherie can't accept that she has become weak, which is why the two of them quarrel that day. Because of this ridiculous quarrel, she left him behind, in that dangerous place, which led to his death.

Chelie shuddered and brought the harmonica to her mouth, and a little gas gushed out of her mouth with a large amount of blood foam, making the harmonica barely sound.

If life is a symphony, then at this moment she has personally played the finale for herself.
