Chapter 22: The Shadow of the Light in the Dark

"When did you set up this fund?" Li Zhen said after standing behind Jin Peng, watching the police and Zhu Zhilong leave.

Jin Peng shook in a daze, obviously startled by the voice behind him, since he saw Li Zhen's strange behavior that day, he always had a feeling of panic in the face of Li Zhen. However, he quickly regained his composure and slowly turned to look at Li Zhen, he tilted his head and looked interested.

"I don't have to report everything to you!" he said.

"Hmph—there's something I don't know about you!"

"You don't know much. ”

"Oh, really?"

Li Zhen glanced at him, turned around and walked into the house.

"Everywhere you go, you're going to be a man of the hour. She said contemptuously, and glanced back at Jin Peng after speaking. Her sight made Jin Peng suddenly feel terrified, and his heart was shocked.

It was a beautiful moonlit night, because even in the early morning, the moon was still high in the sky. Jinpeng changed into sportswear and gently opened the door. I tiptoed out of the house, afraid that I would wake up the sleeping people by moving too much. He ran along the road to the town, where the doors were closed and the people were still asleep. He jogged alone through the bleak wilderness of the countryside, and when he looked up at the sky, he caught a glimpse of the building, a 10-story building. Every lattice of the building was pitch black, except for the one on the top floor, and he looked at the building in front of him with a sad heart. Looking at the lonely light and the single landscape style downstairs of the building, and looking at the figure under the shadow of the lamp, my heart is really sad. He saw those two figures scuffling together, what was the matter? He wondered, how could Li Zhen be there?

"Do you think the police are looking for you?" Jin Peng relieved himself from his memories and looked at Li Zhen suspiciously.

Li Zhen was about to step up the stairs, she hesitated for a moment, and put back the foot that was about to step up. She paused for about 5 seconds, then lifted her foot again and walked slowly upstairs, and in the blink of an eye, the money was gone. She did not respond to Jinpeng's questioning. Looking at her disappearing back, Jin Peng was surprised for some reason, mixed with a feeling of fear. He couldn't tell the reason for this for a while, but his eyes kept following her footsteps, and his heart was in a trance for a while. When the iron door was slammed shut by a gust of wind, he instinctively jumped back a big step.
