Chapter 7: The Cute Minotaur

The babbling stream and the sunlight spilling into the woods reveal a warm smell everywhere.

Abdul-Jabbar hadn't experienced this feeling for a long time, like the smell of early summer, with a vivid vitality, and the world in front of him was full of life, and just half a month ago, Abdul-Jabbar was walking through the towering storm tops, and the landscape here was simply beautiful compared to the endless cold and lifeless winter there. When I looked back again, the half-month-high cliff and the dangerous peak were already above my head.

It's all over, at least survival is no longer a priority, there is plenty of water and food, and even if you can't get your prey, you can pick berries from low trees to satisfy your hunger.

Before leaving Snow Peak, the whole bag of mammoth meat that Abdul-Jabbar was carrying had been eaten almost at the moment, and there was not much left. Everything was so coincidental that Uncle Orc could leave the snowy mountain alive and reach the jungle at the foot of the mountain.

Standing at the highest point of the jungle, Jabbar could see that the entire jungle at the foot of the mountain was like a sea of green, stretching into the distance. The planet has a better scenery than Herrera's, Abdul-Jabbar thought, and a sense of exploration and curiosity arose, at least, this environment gave Uncle Orc a new expectation and purpose in life, and a steady stream of novelties could offset his endless longing for Raphael.

"El Sallivan, Gelman, Eminem, Paladin......"

Jabbar suddenly remembered them, where were these comrades-in-arms, brothers, who had once ventured and fought with him, and who were at this moment? Perhaps he would never see them again in his life, especially Paladin, who had died in the evil Temple of Darkness.

As for Leo, Abdul-Jabbar still can't forgive him, although what the knight did was righteous, killing the demon to protect himself and the entire free people of Herrera from the demon, but Abdul-Jabbar had already told him that day to tell him to wait, but Leo still killed the demon in order to protect himself. It should be said that Abdul-Jabbar owes Leo a life, which Leo saved, but the orc uncle is still haunted by what happened that day. Fortunately, everything is slowly changing now, at least I have a new world to divert my attention.

The sound of the storm behind him had gradually drifted away, and Jabbar stepped on the comfortable soil, step by step towards the depths of the dense forest. Will there be natives here? Uncle Orc doesn't know. How do you greet them later? Jabbar didn't know.

Not only is the jungle below rich in flora and fauna, but danger is also everywhere in this lush forest. Especially the bright and lush demon flower, the first time he saw this huge plant, Jabbar felt an inexplicable panic, maybe it was the knowledge he knew in his previous life, the first impression of the orc uncle on this plant was that it might be poisonous, but he didn't expect this huge flower to devour small animals and insects in the past.

When he tentatively threw a reptile into the flower bud, the orc uncle saw a terrifying scene, the giant flower that was still bright just now instantly closed up, and the reptile that was half a fist size was instantly wrapped tightly by the huge petals, and never crawled out again, and after a short period of devouring and digestion, the bright demon flower opened again, as if nothing had happened.

It is truly a terrifying and dangerous world, and it seems that animals and plants have evolved a more advanced predation system than Herrera in order to survive and develop. Thinking like this, the orc uncle couldn't help but clench the war hammer and continue on his way, maybe this is not a good place to settle.

It is extremely unsafe to walk alone in this dense unknown forest, especially when the forest is inhabited by indigenous people.

On the third day, Jabbar met the second most abundant creature in the world, the Minotaur.

Fortunately, the Minotaur is not a race eager to kill, and while Jabbar was buried in picking wild fruits, three big men, that is, Minotaur soldiers, quietly kidnapped Jabbar from behind......

The minotaur was a third larger than the orc, and his muscles and bones were getting stronger, and Jabbar tried in vain to break free when he was caught by three lurking minotaur patrol guards. The minotaur put the rag over the orc uncle's eyes and brought it to the camp for interrogation.

“******”

“***”

As soon as the rag was ripped off, the scene in front of him literally blinded Abdul-Jabbar's eyes. These creatures were taller than themselves, with the head of a bison, and their physique was unusually strong, the bulging pieces of flesh of the biceps were even thicker than their own thighs, and their somewhat rickety backs and cute faces made these creatures look less fierce and more kind.

This is still a bit far from the Minotaur I imagined......

And the most critical problem now is that neither Abdul-Jabbar nor the Minotaur can understand the other party's language, that is, Abdul-Jabbar repeats his words in three languages, but the other party still looks cute......

Fortunately, these creatures with bull heads do not seem to be hostile to themselves.

A couple of high-ranking looking minotaurs stood beside the boss-looking minotaur, speaking a barrage of Martian that Abdul-Jabbar didn't understand at all.

But in the end, it was the most insignificant-looking claw that decided whether they wanted to kill themselves or not.

Jabbar had slain two undead spiders in the Stormcrags, and had cut off their claws to hang around their necks as trophies, and had taken them off as the sharpest daggers to cut through fur or pieces of flesh when needed, but now, this most insignificant little thing had become the only proof that these minotaurs could judge whether they were friend or foe.

There is no doubt that judging from the identification of this claw by these creatures and their attitude towards themselves in the next second, Abdul-Jabbar knew that he was safe......

For the next week, Uncle Orc was still imprisoned, but he was entertained with good food and drink, and while trying to learn the local Minotaur language (well, let's put it that way), he learned that the plateau he had walked on a month ago was actually the territory of the undead, and unlike the undead on the planet Herrera, the undead here have higher intelligence and better organization, and are the third largest species on the planet, forming the three major races in the world along with the Minotaurs and Barbarians. And it is the sworn enemy of the other two species, and perhaps the sworn enemy of all living creatures.

The dark church that Jabbar inadvertently passed by and killed two spider warriors became evidence that the minotaurs judged that the monster (orc) was friend or foe.

Maybe the Minotaur thinking is so simple, Jabbar thought, wouldn't they have one more mind, maybe they deliberately killed the two demon spiders in order to go undercover and lurk among them, so as to gain their trust? Alas, maybe these Minotaurs' natural minds are so simple, Jabbar thought about it, and felt that this possibility was still very high, at least judging from their cute appearance......
