Chapter 003: Luo Shen Futu

"Luo Shen Futu" is a painting by Gu Kaizhi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, which is colored on silk. It is a long scroll composed of multiple storylines that resembles a comic book but is now lost. At present, there are four facsimiles of the Song Dynasty, which are collected in the Palace Museum in Beijing (two pieces), the Liaoning Provincial Museum and the Freer Museum of Art in the United States. The two figures in the Palace Museum are basically similar, but the scenery is one complex and one simple.

The whole volume of Luo Shen Fu Tu is divided into three parts, which depicts the sincere and pure love story of Cao Zhi and Luo Shen in a detailed and layered manner. The characters are arranged in a sparse and dense manner, naturally alternating, overlapping and exchanging in different time and space, and in the depiction of mountains and rivers, they all show a kind of spatial beauty. Among the extant ancient Chinese paintings, "Luo Shen Futu" is considered to be the first painting adapted from a literary work.

The scroll begins at the right end, and the first section depicts Cao Zhi leading his retinue from the capital back to the fiefdom at dusk, stopping to rest as they pass by the shores of Luoshui. On the calm water, the peerless and affectionate Luo Shen's clothes are elegant, dynamic and calm, and Ling Bo comes. On the willow bank, Cao Zhi leaned forward slightly, stretching out his hands to block the entourage. The attendants' eyes were glazed, while Cao Zhi stared at the beautiful Luo Shen on the water in front of him. Through this momentary action, the painter not only vividly and vividly expresses Cao Zhi's surprise when he sees Luoshen, but also expresses Cao Zhi's inner activities that are deeply attracted by the peerless beauty of Luoshen. Cao Zhi gave a jade pendant to express his deep love for Luoshen, Luo Shen pointed to the abyss for a period of time, Cao Zhi was afraid of being deceived, and his mood was conflicted. So he calmed down and kept his courtesy, and the two were affectionate. Luo Shen and the gods frolicking, the wind god collects the wind, the river god smooths the water waves, the water god beats the drum, the female snail dances, Luo Shen looms in the air, in the mountains, in the water, and sings and dances. Through the joyful and playful lively scenes of the goddess and the gods, it paved the way for the imminent separation of Luo Shen and Cao Zhi, and set off the helpless and contradictory inner state of the goddess.

The second stanza depicts the scene when people and gods have different paths and have to part with hatred, which is the climax of the storyline. The painter vigorously depicts the lineup of Roselle when he left, and the scene is grand and exciting. Liulong drove the cloud car, Luo Shen drove the cloud car into the distance, and the whale sail surged from the bottom of the water around the left and right of the car. The depictions of the six dragons, the fish and the whale are detailed and vivid. The cloud car and the clouds are all speeding in the sky, and the parting scene is very lively and drunk. On the shore, Cao Zhi, with the support of his entourage, watched Luo Shen gradually move away, and his eyes poured out endless sadness and helplessness. Luo Shen kept looking back at Cao Zhi on the shore, with reluctance and attachment in his eyes. As the distance between the two gets farther and farther apart, it sets off the pain of helpless separation in the hearts of Cao Zhi and Luo Shen, making the sad atmosphere of not being able to stay together in the picture even stronger.

The last part depicts the departure of the car. After Luo Shen left, Cao Zhi remembered and missed her deeply. Cao Zhi took a light boat up the river to catch up with the cloud car, hoping to see Luo Shen's shadow again. But helplessly, people and gods are separated, and they can't find any trace of Luoshen. The feelings of longing and sadness are uncontrollable, so that I can't sleep all night, waiting by the Luoshui until dawn, lingering on the scene. Until the entourage drove on the road, Cao Zhi still kept looking back, and finally embarked on the return journey back to the fiefdom with reluctance and helplessness. Cao Zhi's infinite melancholy is vividly presented on the scroll, so that the viewer is infected by the sincere feelings between Luo Shen and Cao Zhi.

Before tonight, I firmly believed that Gu Kaizhi's version of Luo Shen Futu had been lost, and it might have been there a long time ago

In the vast river of history, it was wiped out. However, the five veins suddenly said that the true work of Luo Shen Futu had actually been in their hands all along, and this news was indeed shocking enough.

Not to mention what the intentions of this treasure grabber are, the reappearance of the Luo Shen Fu Tu is a trivial matter in itself, and now the true and false mystery has been brought up again, it is conceivable that next, there will be a series of stories around the Luo Shen Fu Tu.

Speaking of Luo Shen Futu, we have to mention the era when it was created - the Northern and Southern Dynasties. The Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties were a period of frequent, complex and divided periods in Chinese history. Although political instability and the chaos and turbulence of the current situation have brought about a general economic recession, they have enriched the content and connotation of culture like never before. This is an era of freedom, emancipation, wisdom and enthusiasm in the history of ancient Chinese thought and culture. Due to social turmoil, the northerners moved south and the invasion of foreign ethnic groups formed the mutual integration of life and culture between the north and the south and various ethnic groups, and in the murals of the Northern Wei Dynasty in Dunhuang, people can see that the image of the characters has been integrated into the traditional painting on the basis of foreign styles. Southern painting was also heavily influenced by religious themes, becoming more religious and rich.

As early as the Qin and Han dynasties, due to the domination of Confucianism, figure painting was inevitably used by the rulers as a tool to propagate politics and religion, because landscape painting and flower and bird painting could not intuitively educate people how to do in order to meet the moral standards required by the upper class. This somewhat strengthened people's emphasis on figure painting. Before the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, although the scroll paintings that are easy to preserve are relatively rare, we can vaguely see their shadows from the previous tomb murals and portrait stone portrait bricks, such as the portrait of the hero painted by the Ming Emperor of the Eastern Han Dynasty in Luoyang Yuntai and so on. It can be said that figure painting before the Wei and Jin dynasties was basically still in a practical function, but in the Wei and Jin dynasties, Confucianism still existed as a tool of the ruler's autocracy, and the political and religious ethics from the Han Dynasty "Confucianism as one respect" still had an important impact on art with strong inertia. Whether it is the role of Cao Zhi's painting as a "contemporary" or Wang's desire to incite Confucius's disciples to inspire people, they are all reflections of Confucianism's ideology of entering the WTO. is Gu Kaizhi's "Female Benevolence and Wisdom Map" and "Female History Atlas" are only still in the practical function of education. However, after that, the decline of society, the disintegration of the state, and the precariousness of human life made the Confucian concept as the glue of the ruling ideology and society gradually lose its role and tend to decline. Due to the emergence of a large number of literati and doctors, a large number of theoretical works were written, including Gu Kaizhi, and figure painting also entered an advanced stage of aesthetics. This is fully reflected in the "Luo Shen Futu".

"Luo Shen Futu" was written by Gu Kaizhi one day by chance reading the "Luo Shen Fu" written by Cao Zhi, a writer in the Three Kingdoms era, sent by a friend. Cao Zhi's original text expresses the self-sentimentality of love frustration through the pursuit of love between man and god in the dream realm. With his rich imagination and artistic talent, Gu Kaizhi recreates literary works, conveying infinite melancholy affection and sadness, and expressing the theme of Cao Zhi's "Luo Shen Fu" in a complete and harmonious manner. The picture is fantastical and gorgeous, the plot is real and touching, full of romanticism, full of elegant romance and poetic atmosphere.

However, for me, there is still a question.

That's – why Lowe

What about the divine endowment?

Between the Kawashima family, the five veins, and the two volumes of the Roselle Futu in China and Japan, there must be a clue that we don't know about the whole thing.

Although the story told by Huang Mingda has a beginning and an end, many of the plots are only arranged in chronological order, and the most consistent point with the design of conspiracy theories is only the time difference caused by anonymous letters, and the lack of necessary logical elements between events.

"How do I tie things together?"

After all, my knowledge of the identification of cultural relics is nothing in front of many masters of the five veins, and I only have the points of the high mountains, so my speculation may be just in vain.

At the beginning, I thought that since the other party came to "Luo Shen Futu", it is very likely that it is related to Luo Shen Futu. You must know that the Kawashima family's Luo Shen Futu was plundered from China, and it is very likely that the descendants of the original Chinese master family have been haunting and vowing to take revenge on the national treasure. But if you think about it carefully, it seems that there is a lack of a tenable position, because, if it is done by the countrymen, just for revenge, why implicate the five veins?

But if you come for the five veins from the beginning, the article here is even bigger.

According to the old man Yao, the second anonymous letter said that the Luo Shen Futu in the hands of the five veins is not genuine, if this statement is true, then once the treasure appraisal conference is held, it will be a draw from the bottom of the kettle for the five veins, so that the other party's motive for bringing down the five veins is obvious.

But then again, Liu Bin's words just now can actually dispel this risky move very naturally. The outside world knows almost nothing about the collection of the five pulses, and the five pulses have never been promoted, so if the version in the hands of the five pulses is fake, the five pulses can be calculated, and they will know that the collection is a fake early in the morning, so they have never revealed to the outside world, and it doesn't matter who is real and who is fake, anyway, the national treasure will return in the end.

"True and false, false and real, what kind of evil intentions are hidden behind this series of actions?" Huang Mingda said angrily.

"Old Man Huang, don't be angry yet." I poured him a glass of water and said, "When I heard this, I have two superficial thoughts, which are not good, please forgive me." ”

"First, the rumored true Kawashima version of the Luo Shen Fu Map, after learning that it was a fake, disappeared, and this secret five-vein version of the Luo Shen Fu Map, also disappeared before the public identification, if the person behind the scenes is me, then what I have to do next is to make a big fuss about this earth-shattering reversal, it is best to make a storm in the city, and the bigger the movement, the better."

"What's in it for you?" Liu Zheng became curious.

"It's very simple, although the real purpose of the person behind the scenes is not easy to say now, but I have a faint intuition, that is, he is hiding very deeply, and the purpose of doing this is not to get the Luo Shen Atlas, but to have another plan, otherwise, his previous actions are both illogical and redundant."

"That's true, the average thief of cultural relics, even if he wants to steal, will not engage in so many cats, wouldn't he be asking for trouble by doing so." Mr. Shen Moshen, who had not spoken, spoke.

"And the second?"

"Second, I'm afraid this person has something to do with the five veins, the Kawashima family, and the Luo Shen Futu."
