Chapter 016: The Death Knell of the Empire
Hu Bin threatened Zhao Zhen with me, which was expected by me. After all, he went to great lengths to get me on his team, and the ultimate goal was, of course, for what he called "business".
Now it seems that the purpose of his trip is not only one, the notebook in Zhao Zhen's hand is also something he is determined to obtain, and getting the notes may be more conducive to him to make this "business".
But I still doubt that Hu Bin coerced Zhao Zhen for the purpose of this trip.
After all, leaving me alone to find Qin Ling shouldn't be a low-level mistake that a character like Hu Bin would make.
About half an hour later, the group came to the foot of the mountain.
Hu Bin glanced back at Zhao Zhen and said, "Boy, you should know how to do it?" ”
Zhao Zhen heard Hu Bin speak, paused for a moment and then replied: "I know what to do, I don't need you to remind me." ”
After speaking, Zhao Zhen stepped forward, looked at the scene in front of him, thought for a while and said, "This is it, order your subordinates to dig here." ”
After Hu Bin glanced at Zhao Zhen, he said to his subordinates: "Just listen to him, start digging here." ”
The subordinates looked at Hu Bin, didn't dare to resist, obediently took out their equipment, and began to dig up in the small area designated by Zhao Zhen.
After about another hour or so, the small area had been dug up to a depth of about ten meters, but no clues were found.
Hu Bin glanced back at Zhao Zhen suspiciously, looked back at the deep pit that was dug down, and said, "Are you kid playing me?" ”
Zhao Zhen didn't look at Hu Bin, but still replied: "I didn't lie to you, and I didn't remember wrong." Just do as I say, and I'll let you find what you're looking for. ”
After speaking, Zhao Zhen stopped talking.
Hu Bin glanced at Zhao Zhen angrily, didn't say anything, but asked his subordinates to move faster.
As expected, I continued to dig for more than ten minutes, and finally dug up something like a stone tablet. Hu Bin slowly walked into the stele-like thing, turned on the special miner's lamp in his hand and shone it on it.
Looking at Hu Bin, he slowly showed a satisfied smile, turned to his subordinates and said loudly: "We found it, we found what we dreamed of." This is the entrance to the Mausoleum of the Qin Emperor, and we have finally found it. All our wealth is hidden under this stele, let us open this stele and have our own wealth. ”
After speaking, Hu Bin ordered his subordinates to open the stone stele. The men stepped forward and used ropes to fasten the exposed edges and corners of the stone tablet and divide them into four strands. Everyone grabbed the other end of the rope and pulled it together, only to see that the stone tablet was easily pulled up by them.
But at this moment, the unexpected happened. As the stele fell, a puff of black smoke followed.
Because it was night, and the miner's lamp was not allowed to be turned on outside, it was thought to be black at the time. The few people closest to the black mist immediately covered their faces with their hands, rolled on the ground in pain, and made whining noises in their mouths.
As soon as Hu Bin wanted to step forward to see the condition of his subordinates, he was pulled by Zhang Liqun and said, "Don't get close, they have been hit by 'miasma'." ”
After speaking, Zhang Liqun said to the people behind him: "Don't breathe, everyone, hurry up and leave the diffusion range of the black mist, and be careful of being touched by the 'miasma'." ”
After speaking, Zhang Liqun pulled Hu Bin and quickly took dozens of steps back, leaving the diffusion range of the 'miasma'. Zhao Zhen also saw the rapid spread of the 'miasma', and quickly took a few steps back. wait
Only when the miasma guarding the entrance of the tomb gradually spread, did everyone slowly walk up.
Hu Bin looked at the four subordinates in front of him and saw that the skin of the four had completely festered away, and none of the places on their bodies that had been touched by the 'miasma' could enter the eyes.
Hu Bin turned his head and stopped looking, and Zhang Liqun ordered the rest of the people to bury the three dead men on the spot, and told them not to touch the three dead people. The rest of the people look at me, and I look at you and don't say a word. Several people quickly wrapped ropes around the corpse on the ground, pulled it aside, and dug a pit with a shovel and buried it.
Hu Bin walked to the edge of the pit, illuminated it with a miner's lamp, and found that there was a step leading down.
Hu Bin turned to Zhao Zhen and said, "Boy, you are very shrewd. Just now, you killed three of my men silently, and I was going to kill you. But now I'm giving you a chance to live, and you're leading the way. I'm telling you, don't play tricks on me again, or you'll really die. ”
After speaking, Hu Bin pushed Zhao Zhen with his hand, Zhao Zhen looked back at Hu Bin and still didn't speak, jumped straight down the pit, turned on the miner's lamp and walked inside. After Hu Bin saw Zhao Zhen go down, he also jumped down, turned on the miner's lamp and shone it inside, and found that only Zhao Zhen was leading the way in front of him, so he beckoned Zhang Liqun and a few people to come down together.
I watched them jump down one by one, and I was worried about startling the snakes, so I didn't rush down. At this time, he hibernated not far away and watched, and thought to himself: "This Zhao Zhen has a bit of talent, this place is full of dangers in feng shui, but it also hides vitality, it is a wonderful place between the door of life and death, a place like this, it is unlikely to be used as an emperor's mausoleum, especially the mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang." ”
All dynasties have questioned the location of the Qin Mausoleum, whether the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the "Emperor of the Ages", is under the sealed mound, how deep is the tomb buried, what is the size of the underground palace structure, and whether the tomb has collapsed into the water? For a long time, there have been various doubts and speculations. In 246 B.C., Qin Shi Huang began to build the world's largest, most peculiar structure and richest imperial mausoleum at the foot of Lishan Mountain in today's Lintong District, Shaanxi Province, and in the next 2,000 years, more and more mysteries and conjectures have arisen around this magical mausoleum.
In the early years, the Ministry of Science and Technology's "863" program project "Archaeological Remote Sensing and Geophysical Comprehensive Detection Technology" disclosed some questions about the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, which mentioned that the measurement detected obvious gravity anomalies and elastic wave reflection anomalies caused by the backfill of rammed earth after the excavation of the underground palace, obvious magnetic anomalies caused by the fine rammed earth wall corresponding to the sealing mound in the excavation range, high resistivity anomalies caused by the tomb, mercury anomalies in the excavation range, gravity anomalies and diffraction point anomalies caused by the palace wall. These anomalies, along with known burial tunnels, outline a large subterranean complex.
But there is no timetable for when the mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang will be opened, and whether it will be opened. Because after excavation, technically speaking, there is no guarantee that these cultural relics will be protected.
In particular, the protection of cultural relics such as murals, pottery, paper, silk, and silk is still a problem. In addition, the opening of the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang is also inconsistent with the "protection-oriented" archaeological excavation policy.
Naturally, many of the ancestors of Yuling participated in the research and protection of the Qin Tomb, and there was also a lot of information left in the Yuling. From these materials, it can be found that, at least in their eyes, the real location of the Qin Emperor's Mausoleum should be the place that has now been developed into a scenic spot.
According to historical records, the mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang was not built by Qin II, it was built by Qin Shi Huang himself. Qin Shi
The emperor, an ancient emperor, began to build the cemetery in the second year after he unified China, and completed it in 208 BC, which lasted 36 years. You must know that Qin Shi Huang reigned for only 37 years, he spent almost all of his time building a mausoleum, and used 800,000 manpower to build a tomb for himself after death.
Such a large-scale construction project also led to him ringing the death knell of the empire himself.
The Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang is divided into two parts: the mausoleum area and the burial area. The cemetery covers an area of nearly 8 square kilometers, with two layers of outer and inner cities, and the sealed soil is square and cone-shaped. The original height of the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang is about 115 meters, and the base of the mausoleum is approximately square, and the shape is like a covered bucket. The top is flat, and the waist is slightly stepped in shape. At present, there is a mausoleum with a height of 76 meters, a length of 345 meters from east to west, and a width of 350 meters from north to south, covering an area of 120,750 square meters, as well as a large number of ground building remains and burial objects. The center of the mausoleum is the place where the coffin of Qin Shi Huang is placed, and there are more than 400 burial pits and tombs around the mausoleum, covering an area of 56.25 square kilometers. The main burial pits include copper cars, horse pits, rare birds and beast pits, stable pits and terracotta warriors and horses pits, etc., and more than 50,000 important historical relics have been unearthed over the years.
Since 1974, 1.5 kilometers east of the cemetery found from the burial terracotta warriors pit three places, the finished product glyph arrangement, a total area of more than 20,000 square meters, unearthed 8,000 pieces of terracotta figurines, chariots and tens of thousands of pieces of physical weapons and other cultural relics; One of the No. 1 pits is the "Right Army", where about 6,000 terracotta figurines and pottery horses are buried with the same size as real people and real horses; The No. 2 pit is the "Left Army", with more than 1,300 terracotta figurines and pottery horses, and 89 chariots. There are 68 warrior figurines, 1 chariot, and 4 pottery horses in the No. 3 pit, which is the headquarters of the underground army. This military formation is the epitome of the formation of the Qin army.
In 1980, a bronze cast large chariot and horse 2 were unearthed on the west side of the cemetery. Aroused the shock and attention of the whole world, these terracotta figurines and terracotta horses organized according to the military formation at that time provided vivid material materials for the study of the military establishment, combat methods, and cavalry equipment of the Qin Dynasty. This group of two-seated large painted bronze chariots and horses, the high chariot and the Anche, is the largest and most ornately decorated, the most realistic and complete ancient bronze chariot and horse found in China so far, and is known as the "Bronze Crown".
In the passage, the cat walked for about half an hour, and Zhao Zhen and his party finally came to a wide place. When I straightened up, I found another door in front of me blocking everyone's way.
Hu Bin was much more shrewd this time, and said to Zhao Zhen: "Your chance to perform has arrived, now you go and open this stone door." ”
After speaking, Hu Bin motioned for everyone to retreat, leaving Zhao Zhen alone in front of the stone gate. Zhao Zhen should have read the notebook, so he walked so smoothly, after thinking for a while, he calmed down, stretched out his hands and pressed them on the stone door, and with a slight force, the stone door opened.
It turns out that this stone gate is different from the 'miasma' outside, and the 'miasma' at the entrance will accumulate as long as it is separated by a certain period of time. And the mechanism of this stone gate was destroyed by Zhao Zhen's grandfather, Li Tairong and his group thirty years ago, so now it is basically like an uninsured security door.
Zhao Zhen entered the stone gate and glanced at it with a miner's lamp. I saw that this tomb was about the size of three football fields, and the walls of the tomb on both sides were hung with extinguished lanterns. Seeing that there was nothing unusual, Zhao Zhen turned around and wanted to notify Hu Bin and a few people to come in. But just when Zhao Zhen wanted to turn around, the ever-bright lamps on the tomb walls on both sides of the tomb suddenly lit up one after another.
