Chapter 13: Man in the Burrow

For all students around the world, the holidays are never enough.

Even Clark was no exception.

Although he longed for the campus life at Hogwarts, the few days in the Burrow also brought him a lot of joy.

Ever since he had been in contact with Voldemort's journal once that day, he had locked it in his safe.

Then, I started to enjoy the little bit of vacation time I had left.

This can also be said to be the most leisurely period he spent during the summer vacation.

Unlike the Clark family, even as a member of a pure-blood wizard family, the Weasleys did not live a wealthy life.

Their house, called the Burrow, is located on a hill outside the village of Ottrey St. Cachpol, and looks like a large house made of stones.

Later, however, as the number of children increased, some rooms were added to the top of the original building, which were supported by wood below and raised to the height of four or five stories, with a large chimney on top of it, erected on the red roof.

The whole house looked crooked and strangely shaped, as if it would collapse at any moment without magic.

In fact, Mr. Weasley, a mid-level official of the Ministry of Magic, has a lot of salary every month, and he can't live in such a dilapidated house, but he can't afford to have seven children in his family!

In addition to Clark's two cousins, Bill and Charlie, who have graduated and worked, there are four boys in the family who are attending Hogwarts, and this year, Clark's cousin Ginny has officially reached the school grade.

Five children who are studying, even if Hogwarts does not charge tuition and fees, the money spent on books and learning tools and consumables is a huge expense every year.

In addition, Clark's uncle also has a little personal hobby of collecting Muggle items, and he has no financial acumen in terms of financial management, and always uses as much as he wants, which makes the life of the family who is not rich live a tight life.

The good thing is that money is not a necessity for a happy life, but only a decoration.

No matter how embarrassing life is, the Weasleys are full of love and care, just as the appearance of the Burrow is shabby, its interior is also full of the warmth of home.

And this is also the reason why Clark likes to stay at Aunt Molly's house.

Compared with one, although the ancient castle of the Puwit family is spacious and luxurious, and the service of the house-elves in it is quite dedicated, it is too deserted and unpopular, and it lacks the fireworks of life. Even if he later had two more big dogs at home, it didn't do much except for more headaches.

During his days at the Burrow, Clark lived a colorful life.

Early in the morning, when he finished his run in the fields outside and returned to the poor situation in good spirits, Aunt Molly must have been cooking breakfast in Dingling, which must have been his favorite fried sausages and poached eggs.

The soft-hearted omelette and the sausages burst into juice at the first bite are delicious, and a slice or two of golden garlic toast sets the tone for a vibrant day.

After breakfast, it's usually time to have fun, and in this case, Clark is not in the mood to read and study.

He usually followed a few cousins to drive goblins in the yard or cut the thatch with a sword.

Anyway, no matter what you do, it's hard not to be happy with the funny Weasley twins, because they both always find fun in ordinary life.

Even if it's the most boring goblin in the yard, the two of them can play with flowers and make a goblin throwing game.

And the cutting sword thatch, which is also Clark's favorite game.

The long thatch, straight and stiff like a sword, is full of sharp serrations at the edges, making it difficult to cut even with a knife, and sometimes even hurting the palms of the hands.

Later, Fred invented a method to use magic to control the cut sword thatch, flying back and forth among the weeds.

Sharp sword thatch can often easily remove patches of weeds under the action of high speed.

This kind of game is very similar to the swordsmanship that Clark saw in the movies in his previous life, sometimes they are clear, and they will command those flying sword thatch to stab each other in the air, and the sword thatch of one side is cut off.

In addition to these activities, small Quidditch tournaments and wizarding chess brought them a lot of fun.

Of course, these are old tricks from the past, and their favorite game for a few years is still to get together and play magic cards.

Yes, Clark's magic cards have been researched into their fourth edition, and this is the most mature version yet.

Clark named the whole deck Light and Darkness, and designed it into a two-player card confrontation mode of gameplay, integrating strategy, collection, combat, and competition

There are two types of decks: humans and elves on the light side, and undead and orcs on the dark side.

Inspired by the shards of the Scar, and taught by Nicol Lemay, he was able to master the technique of how to give the characters in his cards simple intelligence.

This makes the gameplay and fun of the magic cards more enjoyable, truly realizes the intelligence of small battles, and successfully indulges several of his cousins, even with his cousin Ginny, who is a little unhappy, which makes Aunt Molly roar every day.

Fortunately, Clark played a lot of single-player and online games in his previous life, and he was not addicted to this kind of intelligent card game.

This also makes him someone else's child, and every time Aunt Molly criticizes Ron and his twin brothers who forgot to eat because they are addicted to card games, she uses him as an example.

However, happy days are always short-lived, and Clark does not allow himself to stay in his comfort zone all the time, after all, in addition to being a student, he is also the heir of the Puwit family.

So when the holidays were coming to an end, Clark had to go back early so that he could finish arranging the family business before enrolling.

On the night of his departure, Aunt Molly prepared a very hearty dinner, full of Clark's favorite dishes.

The golden roasted butter chicken has a crispy skin and a juicy inside, and the meat is tender with a faint milky aroma of butter.

The air-dried peppery sausage is cut into chunks and stewed with potatoes, onions and carrots, and the spicy flavor is mixed with the sweetness of the vegetables.

Finally, there is a honey-glazed maple pudding that makes people drool when they look at it, which can be said to fully satisfy their stomachs.

Fred and George's laborious fireworks display also made the evening even more perfect.

The kitchen was full of red and blue stars, bouncing between the ceiling and the walls for at least half an hour.

After having fun, Clark drank a cup of hot chocolate before going home to bed.
