Chapter 49: Sleeping Dangong

He Weitong retracted his mind, and some of the problems in his heart were suddenly answered.

He Wei looked up at the window, looking at the mountains and rivers, floating clouds, and the universe outside, motionless, and this state lasted for a long time.

No one knew what He Weitong was thinking, and he didn't know how long it took before He Weitong retracted his mind and looked at the scriptures in his hand again.

At this point, the scriptures of the "Pure Sutra" have been completed, and the next few paragraphs are the comments of "Immortal Ge Weng", "Zuo Xuan Zhenren" and "Zhengyi Zhenren".

But because these people are too important in the history of Taoism, their comments are also put in the text.

The immortal Ge Xuan said: I have the true way, and I have recited this sutra ten thousand times. This scripture is practiced by celestial beings and is not passed on to the corporal. In the past, I received it from the Emperor of Donghua, the Emperor of Donghua received it from the Emperor of Jinque, and the Emperor of Jinque received it from the Queen Mother of the West, and the Queen Mother of the West was passed down by word of mouth, without memorizing words. I am now in the world, and I am recorded in the book. The sergeant enlightened him and was promoted to a celestial official; Sergeant Xiuzhi, Nangong Lie Immortal; The corporal got it, and he lived for a long time. Parade to the Three Realms and ascend to the Golden Gate.

Zuo Xuanzhen said: Those who learn the Tao, those who recite this scripture will get the ten heavenly good gods and support their bodies. Then the jade talisman protects the gods, and the gold liquid refines the form. The form and spirit are wonderful, and the Tao is true.

Zhengyi Zhenren said: People have this scripture, and those who understand it will not do anything about disasters, and all saints will protect the door. The gods ascended to the upper realm and worshiped Gao Zhen. The merit is full of virtue, and the emperor is felt. The chanting does not retreat, and the body soars into purple clouds.

These three comments are very simple and have no deep meaning, and when you read them, these three people highly recommend this scripture.

………………

According to the Sutra of Tranquility, the reason why sentient beings cannot attain the true sense of the Tao is because they have a delusional mind, and thus continue to reincarnate in life and death.

The sutra is mainly based on Taoist thought, but at the same time, it also absorbs and borrows some Buddhist ideas and terms, especially the concept of "emptiness", which has also become the main idea of the sutra's "desire to view emptiness". The sutra believes that if a person can attain a state of tranquility, he can be free from desires and desires, and he can also reconcile all things, educate sentient beings, and return heaven and earth to the Great Dao.

The Taoist view of life and death is different, the Zhuangzi believes that there is no life before birth, not only there is no life, not even the body, and there are no elements that make up the body, mixed in trance, chaos changes and there is vitality, vitality changes and there is a body, the body changes and there is life, and life changes and dies. Such changes in life and death are like the four seasons of cold and summer, if you lose your voice and cry bitterly, you do not understand the principle of natural changes in heaven and earth.

He Weitong looked at the words and sentences in the book, many of which were understood by predecessors of this classic, and many explanations were very classic.

With He Weitong's current level of knowledge, he can't see the mistakes and omissions at all, even if they are diametrically opposed views, they are so reasonable in He Weitong's opinion.

He Wei didn't know how to believe that point of view at the same time.

In this way, He Weitong sat in the library until noon.

He Weitong slowly closed the scriptures and stood up, he Weitong was fascinated by the views in the following pages, but at the same time he was fascinated and troubled, because he didn't know which views to believe.

So He Weitong stopped.

He Weitong went downstairs and walked out of the library building and began to wander around Wudang Mountain.

He didn't just wander around the mountains where there was Taoism, he also went to the peaks where there were no Taoist temples.

There are a total of 53 buildings in the Wudang Mountains, and most of them are now abandoned, except for a few.

He Weitong walked among the ruins, and his mood was greatly soothed.

He Weitong gradually came to the high place, the peak of Tianzhu Peak, and looked at the undulating mountains around him.

Wudang Mountain is famous for its status as the "crown of the five mountains" of "the four famous mountains are all arched, and the five immortals and mountains are the same dynasty". It is known as "the unparalleled victory of the ancients, the first immortal mountain in the world". Wudang martial arts is an important school of Chinese martial arts. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, the Taoist priest Zhang Sanfeng gathered his masterpiece and created the Wudang School.

Standing on the top of Tianzhu Peak, He Weitong's thoughts diverged far away.

I thought of the history of Wudang Mountain, the ancients who practiced here, and then I thought of myself.

He Weitong was thinking, is there really an immortal in this world? If so, where are they now, and if not, whether they say that they can't become immortals here.

He Weitong's mortal heart gradually warmed up, and the belief in his heart gradually became firmer.

How much history has been around since ancient times, how many people with extraordinary intelligence, and where have they gone.

According to Simu, this world has an earthly mansion and there are six reincarnations, so is there a heavenly court?

He Weitong looked at the deep sky and was silent for a long time.

………………

An hour later, He Weitong came to a silent mountain.

Before He Weitong reached the top of the mountain, he saw two figures on the top of the mountain halfway up the mountain, which was the unity of Xie Laodao and water.

He Weitong slowly walked towards the top of the mountain, and when he reached the top of the mountain, He Weitong found a place with a good view, and did not get any closer, because Xie Laodao was passing on the sleeping skill to the water unity, which was the most advanced practice in Wudang, and he was not very good in the past.

He Weitong is very curious about sleep because he is closely related to everyone.

Sleep work has a long history, it arises from human social labor, after labor fatigue, it is necessary to sleep and rest to restore physical strength and spirit.

People want to sleep when they are tired, and sleeping can restore energy, which is what everyone does every day, in fact, this is the most ordinary and primitive sleep work.

Later, the society continued to develop, and the sleeping work was also in the continuous rest practice, refining the essence and know-how, and finally summarized into the sleeping work, so the sleeping work was inherited very anciently, Confucius said that "the humerus and the pillow are bent, and the music is also in it", that is, the sleeping work.

Later, because Taoism delved into the occult, gradually carried forward the sleep work, the role of sleep work is also getting bigger and bigger, originally just used to restore the energy of the kung fu, gradually become able to absorb the energy between heaven and earth, prolong life, practice sleep Gong is the most famous person to recommend the Huashan hermit Chen Quan, once high in Huashan, a few days of sleep, after the sleep of the Tao.

Chen Tuan combined sleeping gong with Taoist Neidan art and turned it into a road to heaven, and Zhang Sanfeng, the patriarch of the Wudang faction, was also his second disciple.

The core of "sleep work" lies in sleeping, doing work with sleep, and sleeping with work.

He Weitong in later generations was very keen on understanding sleep gong for a while, just because this kung fu is sleeping.

Sleep work takes full advantage of the physiological characteristics that everyone has to sleep and rest. The average person sleeps 8 hours a day and spends 1/3 of their life sleeping.

It's a lot of time, and if you put it to good use, you can get some wonderful results.

Shou Yuan is very wonderful, some people live long, some live short.

The lifespan of Taoist priests is generally very high, which shows that the exercises practiced by Taoist priests do have the effect of prolonging life.

Sometimes He Weitong doesn't understand the specific reasons why those who live for more than 100 years in later generations can live so long.

Those long-lived old people are more than 100 years old, some are more than 110 years old, and some are more than 120 years old.

They didn't practice any exercises, but they outlived most people.
