Chapter 16: In Conversation
"Hey, man, you're here again!"
In the principal's office, the Sorting Hat greeted Ricardo warmly.
"yes, I have a little matter to discuss with the principal." Ricardo touched the tip of his hat and walked across from Dumbledore.
"I can feel that there is more than one soul in Chino......"
"I know, I know, that's how you threatened him to get a position, didn't you?"
Dumbledore's eyes grew deep, like an endless abyss.
Ricardo smiled awkwardly and did not speak.
"Then why are you telling me the news? Is this what you're flattering? β
In an instant, the air in the office stagnated, and Ricardo put away his smile and quietly met Dumbledore's eye.
"I entered the teaching profession to avoid dealing with adults and to get involved in all kinds of intrigues," he said slowly, "but children are naughty and rebellious, but most of them are honest and straightforward, and they are easier to deal with." β
"Discussing with the principal is just to ensure the safety of the child, and it has nothing to do with stammering or betrayal. I didn't promise him not to say it, and if Chino thought I had betrayed him, I wouldn't. β
"I can't play those curves, and I don't care what the deal is between you, as long as the students are okay, I don't mind how black and white are, it's a teacher's responsibility."
Even the portrait hanging on the wall stopped breathing, quietly waiting for something.
The Sorting Hat stopped talking, and the caged phoenix opened its eyes suddenly.
They stared at each other for a long time, Dumbledore looked away, the corners of his mouth curled, and Ricardo's tense nerves relaxed.
"We actually know it," he said, "that I, Chino Quirinas, may have to add you now." β
"In other words, you and him know each other's existence, right?" Ricardo seemed to have expected it, and he held his chin in thought.
"But there's no reason for him to stay at Hogwarts, is there?"
"Ah...... Ha? Dumbledore instantly understood what Ricardo meant, and let out a small exclamation.
"Is there anything other than the Philosopher's Stone that can make a dark wizard act in front of the White Wizard leader?"
Ricardo smiled and looked at the old headmaster who had lost his temper slightly.
"Ricardo, you're just ...... It's ......" Dumbledore quickly returned to normal, but his tone was still amazed, "You, more intelligent than I thought. β
"Awards, awards."
Ricardo scratched his head, pretending to be modest.
Chino and the fire dragon incident are actually very easy to connect, what he encountered that day, only Chino is suspicious, and then connect several things in series, it is easy to deduce a possible beginning and end.
Ricardo's reasoning is that Chino knew that the Philosopher's Stone was going to enter England, and then guessed that the Philosopher's Stone would be placed in Gringotts and then fall into Dumbledore's hands.
After all, Gringotts is known as the strongest defense, and only Albus Dumbledore in the United Kingdom is eligible to borrow the Philosopher's Stone.
Therefore, Chino made two preparations, first went to Gringotts to rob, and if the robbery was unsuccessful, he hibernated at Hogwarts, waiting for an opportune time to take it.
And Chino happened to have what Dumbledore needed to keep him alive at Hogwarts.
Originally, this robbery was just a formality, but who knew that Chino was so lucky, who knew that a pick-up and drop-off person would carry such a precious thing?
So, Dumbledore didn't get what he wanted, and then what was used as bait was taken away, and it looked like he lost his wife and lost his army.
Reasoning may be full of holes, but it doesn't hinder the overall direction. Dumbledore's surprised expression and approving words proved that he was right.
But here's the problem:
"Why did Chino stay at Hogwarts?"
"Either the Headmaster put Mr. Chino under house arrest," Ricciardo reasoned as he walked around the office, asking himself, "Or, Hogwarts still has what he needs." β
"Which one, Mr. Headmaster?"
Dumbledore smiled and held out two fingers.
"The second?"
"No, it's two."
This time, the old principal paced in the office in a relaxed manner:
"After hearing that the Philosopher's Stone had been taken from me, I came to his path to warn him," Dumbledore said, "and he was so angry that he decided to stay at Hogwarts. β
"Then I had a professorial meeting, and just before you arrived, inadvertently leaked what he needed and thus left it behind."
This is also a variation of Wayne, Ricardo thought to himself, it seems that the old headmaster's thinking is quite thoughtful.
"So, are there any measures to protect students? I hope that some alchemical detector can monitor that person. β
"Hmm...... I'll seriously consider it. In the meantime, I'll keep an eye on this guy. β
Dumbledore only replied to Ricciardo.
This is the surveillance of the wizard's ceiling, Ricardo thought, it can be considered a powerful protection.
The reminder should be over here, and Ricardo understands very well that it is not so much that the leader Dumbledore wants him to make suggestions, but rather a disguised stabilization of the army's morale, so that he does not destroy the headmaster's plan.
That's all he can do, the monitor used for homeschooling can't hide a dark wizard, and this dark wizard can be on the line with Dumbledore.
Let's go out and shop more often, Ricardo thought to himself, and he could prevent some accidents.
"By the way, Ricciardo," Dumbledore said, "can you help design an obstacle?" A ...... set to protect something
"Of course," Ricardo interrupted the spell in time, "I don't need to know what that thing is, it's useless to know too much." β
Anyway, he knew that he couldn't do anything, just protect the students, and leave the thinking to the professionals, and he put his energy into research for the time being.
"By the way, can I take the Sorting Hat out for fun?" Ricardo glanced at the worn-out hat, "I want to hear stories from ancient times." β
"This ...... I'm afraid not......"
"I say Albus," the Sorting Hat was a little anxious, "have you been in love with an old hat for a long time?" Reluctant to let me out? β
"No, that's not the case......"
"Anyway, I promised this old fellow that I would tell him about ancient legends," the Sorting Hat shook his head, "If you want to take care of me, you are two thousand years early!" β
"It's a rule that has been circulated, Mr. Sorting Hat," the portrait of the former Headmaster on the wall spoke out to Dumbledore, "the Sorting Hat must stay with the Headmaster most of the time!" β
"Oh, it doesn't matter," Dumbledore sat down on his office bench, thinking, "we can give the old man more freedom." β
"Or do you understand me, Albus!" The Sorting Hat shouted excitedly.
"Then, Mr. Silva," Dumbledore's tone was serious, "starting tomorrow, you can take the Sorting Hat during the day and play in the castle with this friend." β
"But at ten o'clock in the evening, my Fawkesβthis phoenix," he said, gesturing to the birdcage behind him, which contained a small bird with beautiful red feathers around it, "and it will come to you, with the Sorting Hat." What do you think of this? β
"I have no opinion, it's up to Mr. Sorting Hat." Ricardo replied.
"Okay, you can go back, please don't talk about today's events, I have to plan for the future......"
