Chapter 3: The Beasts of the Cave

Cave?

Well, after two days of searching, I finally found a place to stay. It's just that in this icy and snowy place, such a cave with excellent terrain will definitely be occupied by humans or wild beasts. Grizzly bears generally prefer such burrows the most.

Jabbar observed from a distance for a while, and found that there was no fire in the entire cave at night, which means that this cave is by no means a place for human habitation, and besides, Jabbar does not know if there are humans on this continent yet.

Gripping the hammer tightly, Abdul-Jabbar cautiously headed towards the cave, there was no doubt that if it was not inhabited by humans, it must be a grizzly bear inside, otherwise, such a wonderful cave in such weather would not be vacant.

The wind and snow were still blowing on the plateau outside, and judging by the surrounding mountains, Jabbar guessed that his current location should be a basin in the mountains, but if the surrounding mountains were high enough, then it could be considered a plateau.

Approaching the cave cautiously, Abdul-Jabbar communicated with the local elementals, and after obtaining permission, the orc uncle lit his own war hammer, and the fire suddenly illuminated the entire cave.

However, in the next second, the scene in the cave stunned the orc uncle.

This is simply a place to bury bones, the bones of all kinds of animals are scattered all over the cave floor, some bones are very large, like mammoths or rhinoceros, some bones are relatively small, like wild wolves and the like, but these bones are all broken without exception, and some bones can even be clearly seen to be bitten.

Oh my God, what kind of monster can easily crush such a hard bone? How many prey have been dragged into this cave and bitten to pieces? Abdul-Jabbar can even imagine that kind of scene, it's hell.

But now, the orc uncle has no choice, come in, you may encounter powerful carnivores, but if you go out, you will definitely freeze to death.

With the light of the flames, Jabbar continued to walk into the cave, out of vigilance and fear of unknown beasts, Jabbar slowed down his pace and tried to suppress the sound of himself stepping on the cave floor. Everything seems to be going on in an orderly manner.

In winter, when the outside of the cave is snowy and the cave is surprisingly quiet, Jabbar guesses that it may be such a powerful beast that all other species dare not enter?

Abdul-Jabbar cautiously explored, but the most unfortunate thing happened. The orc's reckless actions eventually caught the attention of the cave's owner.

When the beast roared, Abdul-Jabbar saw the huge shadow on the wall, it was not a grizzly bear, it was a giant lion!

But God, it's just too big.

A lion shouldn't live in a cave, but right now, Jabeur doesn't have time to think about it, the continent may be filled with completely different species than Herrera, maybe it's not a lion, it just looks like a lion.

And the next second, when the beast actually appeared, Jabbar was stunned.

The flames from the warhammer illuminated the silhouette and face of the beast, a combination of a male lion and a black bear, characteristic of both species.

"Roar. ”

The lion, let's call it for now, the beast opened its hazy sleepy eyes, then glared at Jabbar, and then let out a terrifying roar from deep in its throat, as if the whole cave was trembling.

The giant lion had no room for curiosity or negotiation, and after opening its yellow eyes, it roared and pounced on Jabbar on the ground.

Before he could roar, the orc uncle struggled backwards, and the broken bones on the ground were trampled and creaked.

The lion didn't succeed in its first bite, but it was very close to Jabbar, and what was even more terrifying was that the beast didn't seem to be afraid of fire at all, which was not common sense? However, the giant lion swooped down again against Abdul-Jabbar's hammer.

And this time, Abdul-Jabbar had no time or opportunity to retreat, and subconsciously, the war hammer was pulled up from the ground, and there was only a few tenths of a second, and at the same time as the giant lion pounced, the war hammer smashed from the bottom up.

"Roar. ”

The next moment, the roar of the lion resounded throughout the cave with the sound of a war hammer.

The attacked cave lion let out a low roar and fell to the other side. The flames burned its abdomen, but did not appear to be fatal.

After being injured, the giant lion slowed down the pace of attack slightly, as if it knew that it had encountered an opponent of equal strength today, and it could not pounce and bite as brainlessly as it had done with other prey before.

And that brief gap also gave Abdul-Jabbar time to readjust his posture and prepare for the fight.

In the small cave, a lion and an orc faced each other like this. The rays of the flames cast the shadows of the two creatures on the walls of the cave, and from that shadow, Jabbar was clearly much smaller than the giant lion, almost half its size. But the orc uncle can still confront this giant lion, because his warhammer, and Jabbar is not only a qualified orc warrior, but also an orc shaman.

The beast wandered, repeatedly letting out a terrifying roar, as if searching for weakness while intimidating its opponent. Is it the neck or the arms, or the thighs? The giant lion seems to be a spiritual animal that can think like an orc.

But Abdul-Jabbar saw the lion's intentions, and he wouldn't give his opponent more time to think.

A fierce burst of flames rushed through, and the hammer slammed into the lion's face.

The cave beast expertly dodged its head, but Jabbar's real attack wasn't on the hammer. Fighting cunning enemies a lot, Uncle Orc knows how to feint and strike at the west. In the dark, the flames on the hammer are undoubtedly the main weapon to attract enemies, and the giant lions, like humans, dodge the most shining attacks, while sneak attacks in the darkest corners are often overlooked. Abdul-Jabbar used this animal instinct, but while wielding the hammer with one hand, Uncle Orc stabbed the broken claw into the neck of the giant lion.

Perhaps the beast never thought that a monster that looked much smaller than himself would use a trick, and after pressing down on his head to avoid the attack, the giant lion wanted to take advantage of the situation to pounce low and knock down the orc in front of him, but he didn't expect the orc to take the first step and stab the sharp claw into the lion's neck.

Suddenly, a large amount of beast blood oozed from the skin of the giant lion, however, the next scene was unexpected by Jabbar, only a second of painful roar, the giant lion continued to pounce frantically, this time, the beast's size and strength advantage was vividly reflected, Jabbar was almost without resistance to be pounced. Warhammers were scattered aside.

The cave lion roared wildly after being wounded in the neck, opened its bloody jaws and bit Jabbar's face!

This is a frenzied scene, if you are bitten in the face, even the strongest orc will die.

At the critical moment, just a few tenths of a second, Jabbar instinctively pulled his right hand away and used the orc's strong arm to resist the bite.

In the next second, the beast's teeth pierced Jabbar's right hand like sharp knives!

"Roar. ”

This blow was more painful than the demon's blow, and Jabbar felt like his right hand was about to be bitten off.

Stimulated by survival instincts, Abdul-Jabbar swung his still nimble left hand and struggled to plunge the claw into the throat of the giant lion. Again and again, until the blood of the giant lion gushed out of the shattered wound like a fountain!

In the last blow, Abdul-Jabbar's right hand was bitten off almost alive by the lion.

Under the great pain, the natural bloodthirstiness of the orcs erupted, and Jabbar used all his strength to completely slit the throat of the giant lion with the sharp half-claw.

At this moment, the cave beast was completely paralyzed, rolled off Jabbar's body, and fell to the side. (To be continued.) )
