Chapter Ninety-Seven: A Private Interview with Weifu

Spring is in full swing, and Atlantus is soon in the midst of a lush summer.

If it weren't for the cool breeze blowing from the amorous Danube, the whole of Atlante would be like a furnace.

But no matter how hot this summer is, it can't compare to the enthusiasm of the residents of Xicheng District to build their homes.

In just a few months, the entire Xicheng District Central Avenue neighborhood has completely changed its appearance.

The wide concrete road is divided into a traffic area and a passerby area by a series of wooden fences. It was noon, pedestrians were weaving, and horses' hooves were bursting. The avenue runs from the pier outside the West City to the royal palace in Atlanta.

Horse-drawn wagons loaded with goods from the port were scattered to all corners of the imperial capital along the main road. The goods range from all kinds of seafood from the sea in the east, to all kinds of handicrafts produced by the elves in the west, from cattle and sheep in the orc steppe in the north to all kinds of fruits in the south.

Of course, there are more large ships filled with all kinds of building materials, such as huge cedar trees, bamboo, etc., which fill the entire harbor. At present, the most profitable building materials are these materials, even stones and sand, which are looted as soon as they arrive at the port.

The flowers on both sides of the avenue began to reveal their stamens, and although the small trees were not shady, they also faintly drilled out some young leaves. Ladies holding various flower umbrellas walked along the shade of the trees, accompanied by their male companions.

Some of them are rows of new shops, some are already full of goods, some are still being painted and renovated. From time to time, gongs and drums sound in unison, and the shopkeeper happily lifts the red silk on the plaque, which is the ritual of the newly opened shop.

Every now and then, the ladies and ladies would let out a scream and carry their skirts to the inside of the shop. Often, these newly opened stores have discounts.

Occasionally, there would be some shaking on the ground and a buzzing sound in my ears, and it was the second phase of construction that was taking place not far behind the store.

The owner of a shop is happy, and it seems that business is very good. Residents who don't have shops don't need to be frustrated. Most of them happily pushed all kinds of carts, on which some flowers and fruits, snacks and the like were peddled along the streets. These stalls, the most attractive to children, are already surrounded by outstretched hands.

Of course, there are some pedestrians who are not social. They are often uniformly dressed, wearing yellow horse coats, and the bright red chengguan characters on their chests and in the circle behind them. They are fierce and vicious, and passers-by are afraid to avoid them. Every time I passed by a stall and a shop, the bosses would accompany the smiling faces and hand over a bag of copper. This is known as sanitation and urban construction management fees. Although it is a bit painful, compared to the hot business, everyone is still happy to pay. At least, with them, there are no more hooligans to cause trouble.

In addition, there is another group of people who are particularly eye-catching. More than a dozen strong men with thick waists and round shoulders faintly formed a semi-encirclement, vigilantly watching every move around them. In the center, there are two men and a woman. The reason why it is eye-catching is because they are dressed strangely on a hot day. Needless to say, the two men had their whole heads hidden in a hood, and they weren't too hot. The woman looked like she was about twelve or thirteen years old, and her face was covered with a thin white veil. The maid carrying the flower basket behind her thoughtfully held up a flower umbrella for her.

"Damn Yifeng, you still want me to dress like this when it's so hot?"

If you get closer, you can hear the woman's dissatisfied muttering.

"Your Royal Highness Princess, this is called a private visit to Weifu, and it's fun if people can't recognize it!"

A dark-eyed young man beside him said with a sad face.

Yes, this is Yifeng and Prince Arthur, Irabella and others. Looking at their appearance, it seems that they are idle eggs, and they specially came out to pretend to be slapped in the face.

At the intersection along the avenue, a huge wooden sign played an arrow, and on one side of the arrow was written "Pedestrian Street". There is a gate post at the intersection here, and the intersection is also blocked by several squatting stone lions, apparently not allowing horse-drawn carriages to pass.

Yifeng and the others walked along the way and entered a new world. It is two rows of three-storey houses, with a wide road for pedestrians to walk on, and on both sides there are a variety of shops piled high with all kinds of goods, and some of them even stretch out to the door. This is not unusual, but it is an exaggeration that the top of this head is extremely extravagant with a magic crystal produced in the northern mines, bent into an arch, linking the roofs on both sides. The wind doesn't blow or rain, but you can see the scorching sun overhead through the thin crystal.

Even though it was hot, the whole street was full of people.

Everywhere, you can hear the shopkeeper screaming hoarsely: "Walk by, don't miss it, the clothes of the new elves are 7% off!"

Giggling ladies and ladies blushed and bargained with thick necks.

Children chase and play through human cracks, and their hands spin colorful windmills and other toys.

There are rows of benches in the shade at the entrance of the store, which have long been filled with rows of people, mostly men. This is a special waiting for female companions and men. Their main task is to pay and carry their bags.

As soon as she entered the street, Irabella lived up to her weak appearance, her eyes began to glow, and she dragged Elena into the shop.

Yifeng touched his nose and smiled bitterly, and glanced at Prince Arthur. The two grabbed a chair and began to wait.

After about two prayers, the spirited Irabella sounded the gong and closed her troops, and it was no surprise that Elena and the guards behind her were covered with all kinds of objects.

Of course, there are also other ones for men's consumption. Walk a little further down the pedestrian street, then turn into the alley in the middle, and not far you will come to Atlantus's most famous red light district.

It's a men's paradise and a beautiful part of Atlanta. At sunset, it is lit up with red lanterns that can be seen as far away as the big boats standing on the Danube.

There are all kinds of exotic restaurants here. From the elven beauties in the mountains in the west, to the fox girls in the northern grasslands, from the fish beauties in the deep sea in the east, to the graceful little jasper in the south, as long as you have money, there is nothing you can't think of.

Of course, it's not yet time for them to open, and it's still quite deserted compared to the pedestrian street. But there are also pedestrians who dive into the various snacks and taverns that are interspersed between these restaurants.

At this time, there are also pedestrians who are tired of shopping to order a little snack and drink a few glasses of ale, which is a great enjoyment.

Along the street, you can see that inside the open door, there are already scattered customers occupying the tables, drinking with friends.

Yifeng and the others ignored the warm greetings of the waiters, and rushed forward with their heads buried in their heads.

Their destination was the tavern called "There is a Black Shop".
