Chapter 63: Up and Down, Left and Right
The tallest building in Jinling Mansion is the glazed pagoda.
The glazed pagoda is located in the Great Bao'en Temple.
Da Bao En Temple covers a vast area, which can be called the most in the south of the Yangtze River, and if you walk through the entire temple on foot, it will take three hours to say the least. There is a river channel dug artificially in the temple, called the Perfume River, traversing the north and south, taking this river as the boundary, dividing the Great Bao'en Temple into two halves before and after, only the front temple is open to the outside world, the whole back temple is to refuse pilgrims and tourists, only the famous scholar Confucian, the Buddhist monk can enter.
Da Bao En Temple is the Great Wei Emperor Taizong Emperor to commemorate the Taizu Gao Emperor and the birth mother to build, lasted 19 years, cost 3 million taels of silver, 100,000 military service, people's husband, completely in accordance with the palace standards to build, splendid, day and night bright, a total of 30 palaces, 150 monasteries, 120 wing rooms, 38 rooms, is the first of the hundred temples.
The whole body of the glazed tower is fired with glaze, and one hundred and forty-six lanterns are placed inside and outside the tower, which is known as the second tallest tower in the world.
The first tower is located in the Purple Mansion of Yujing, the Tower of Babel, a total of 33 floors, meaning the 33 days of the ancestor of the Taishang Dao, and it stands at the highest place of the Yuxu Peak, and the legend connects the Kunlun Cave Heaven above the Yujing.
Because of this, Da Bao En Temple is not a Buddhist temple, but actually a royal temple. Even if the Great Wei Dynasty fell, the Great Bao'en Temple was not classified under the name of Buddhism, and its relationship with Buddhism was even inferior to Confucianism, and most of the monks in this temple were people who fled Zen.
The so-called "escape from Zen" originally meant that those who involved in the teachings of the Buddha and eventually abandoned the Buddha and returned to Confucianism were called Escape Zen. Flee from Zen to return to Confucianism, and turn into a fake to seek truth, that is, to escape from Buddhism.
However, later, in order to eliminate the influence of Escape Zen and confuse Confucianism, Buddhism said that Escape Zen was to escape from reality by studying Buddhism, that is, to escape to Buddhism.
One word difference, two meanings.
The monks in the temple can be interpreted both by the former and by the latter. According to Buddhism, they are people who have fled from Confucianism to Buddhism, and according to Confucianism, they are only temporarily involved in Buddhism, and eventually they will abandon Buddhism and flee back to Confucianism. Either way, these monks had a deep relationship with Confucianism.
All in all, Da Bao En Temple is not a temple under the name of Buddhism, nor does it belong to Taoism, but belongs to Confucianism. Therefore, when Buddhism and Taoism were fighting, this place was spared and was not seized by the Daomen.
At this time, the glazed tower was brilliantly lit, and Situ Xing sat on the top of the tower, leaning against the spire, overlooking the entire Jinling Mansion.
Sikong Cuo stood beside him, his clothes and hair blown by the night wind.
Situ Xing pointed down and said: "Daomen has already reacted, I have to say, Daomen is indeed powerful, head-on confrontation, our manpower is doubled, and it is not an opponent." It's a pity ......"
"It's a pity that the Daomen itself is in chaos, or infighting." Sikong Tso added coldly.
"That's right, infighting." Situ Xing laughed wildly

"There are two major contradictions in today's Daomen, one is a horizontal contradiction and the other is a vertical contradiction. ”
"What is transverse? What is Portrait? Sikong asked wrongly.
Situ Xing stretched out his hand and drew four horizontal and vertical lines in front of him, forming a "well" character, and then said: "The so-called vertical is up and down. The so-called horizontal means left and right. ”
"For example, the Great Sect of the Daomen is on the left, and the Pope of the Holy Court is on the right, with different positions and different camps, but they are characters on the same horizontal line, that is, the horizontal line above. In the same way, the low-level Taoist priests of the Dao Gate are on the left, and the low-level priests of the Holy Court are on the right, and they also have different positions and different camps, but they are also people on the same horizontal line, that is, the horizontal line below. ”
"The Great Masters of the Dao Sect and the low-grade Daoists of the Dao Sect are all on the same side, they are in the same camp, so they are the people on the same vertical line, that is, the vertical line on the left. The Pope of the Holy See and the low-ranking clergy of the Holy See are on the same side and in the same camp, so they are also people on the same vertical line, that is, the vertical line on the right. ”
"Distinguished by horizontal lines, the Great Palm and the Pope are the same kind of people, for the rulers. Low-grade Taoists and low-level priests are the same kind of people, who are for the ruled. There is a difference between dignity and inferiority, and there is a difference between the top and bottom. ”
"Distinguished by vertical lines, the Great Palm Sect and the low-grade Taoist priest are the same kind of people, and they are the people of the Dao. The Pope and the lower clergy are one kind of people, people of the Holy See. The Daomen is on the left, and the Holy See is on the right. ”
Some of them understand, and some of them don't.
There was no need for him to ask, Situ Xingran had already continued: "To put it bluntly, camps and levels. Who you are depends on both your faction and your level. ”
Sikong Cuo's expression was a little solemn, and he smelled the smell of great arrogance, which was a great rebellion that the Daomen, the Confucian Sect, the Buddhist Sect, the Holy Court, the Imperial Court, and even the secret associations such as the Zhiming Sect would not allow.
If it is divided into hierarchies, the believers will question the gods and the masters, which is absolutely intolerable.
Situ Xingchao still said to himself: "The horizontal problem of the Dao Gate is actually a camp problem, that is, the Zhengyi and the Quanzhen Dao join forces to fight against the Taiping Dao. This is a problem on the bright side, as long as anyone with eyes can see it. The reason why we have such a good opportunity is also because of the three infighting, to put it bluntly, it is the infighting between the rulers of the Daomen. ”
"The vertical problem, which can be hidden under the horizontal problem, is the key to the deterioration of the Daomen problem, that is, the dispute between the upper and lower levels. The low-level Taoists below have been dissatisfied with the high-level Taoists for a long time, although the high-level Taoists have the power to easily suppress the low-level Taoists, but the low-level Taoists are the cornerstone of the entire Daomen, if the foundation is not stable, no matter how brilliant and majestic the superstructure is, it will become a castle in the air. ”
"It's like this glazed tower under us, only the top floor was blown up, but one tower was lost
(This chapter is not finished, please turn the page)
Already, the rest is still there, and it can be easily repaired on the original basis. But what if you blow up the dungeon? The entire tower would collapse and would have to be built from scratch. ”
Of course, the people of insight within the Daomen have realized this, so they advocate that the contradiction between the upper and lower levels be alleviated and eliminated by changing the Daomen, which is the change. For example, that Zhang Yuelu is a figure in this faction, I call it the Shaozhuang faction, corresponding to those old-school characters who are stubborn to the end. ”
"Do you know what change is? It doesn't take so much nonsense, two words are enough to sum it up: 'let profit'. 'Let' is to let out, and 'profit' is to let go of one's own interests. As long as the upper strata are willing to cede their interests to the lower strata, then the contradictions can be alleviated. ”
"But the word 'profit' is easy to say, but how difficult it is to do. To put it bluntly, it is to cut one's own flesh with a knife, what kind of realm is that? It is the realm of the Buddha cutting meat and feeding eagles. That's why Westerners say that it is harder to touch interests than souls. Oriental people say that cutting off people's financial routes is like killing their parents. Who will give up? If you can't cut the meat yourself, it's even more important for others to cut the meat on your behalf. ”
"All changes are ultimately self-reforming, self-changing, and living to death. Who has such courage? Even if there is such courage, the ship is difficult to turn around, it is difficult to return, and it is deeply rooted, how can you talk about it casually? So is the ability enough? Sooner or later, the young Zhuang faction will fight the old faction, but I am not optimistic about the outcome, and most of the young people will die miserably. ”
Sikong Cuo's face was not good-looking, and he couldn't help but say, "What the hell do you want to say?" ”
Situ Xing asked rhetorically, "What do you want?" ”
"Me?" I was stunned.
Situ Xing narrowed his eyes: "Do you want to be satisfied if you want to destroy a Jinling Mansion, or do you want to destroy the entire Dao Gate?" ”
Sikong Cuo couldn't help but gasp.
What does it mean to be bold?
Even though he was a member of the Secret Society and had hung his head on his belt, he still felt that Situ Xing was bold, even to the point of whimsy.
Situ Xing laughed and sneered, "If you don't even dare to think about it, then how can you do it?" ”
After a long time, Sikong Cuo said slowly: "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, instead of talking about it, it is better to do the things in front of you first." ”
Situ Xing tugged at the corners of his mouth: "Of course, of course, we must do the things in front of us well." ”
"Although the Daomen have reacted, they still underestimate us, I remember a saying, as if something, weakness is not the biggest obstacle to survival, arrogance is. There is some truth to this. ”
"The Shuitang workshop is just a trick, I'm ready, just waiting for your order."
Sikong Cuo gently exhaled a breath of turbidity: "Then let the Daomen pay for their arrogance." ”
