Prologue: Chebury's Thoughts
Zoel Chebury rubbed his aching temples and looked away from the thick stack of curls on his desk, there were so many things.
Since the Dark Monarch unfortunately fell silent and the priesthood was inherited by the Dark Sun, everything has not gone as smoothly as before. Darksun ordered all followers of the Dark Monarch to be converted immediately, and launched a holy war, the battle after Bane's death, to make Santil Fort his own sanctuary. Although it undoubtedly ended in victory, it also inevitably caused a division among the burghers, weakening the power of Santil Fort.
Darksun didn't realize this, or he didn't care, and sent an oracle to continue to vigorously investigate the followers of the Dark Monarch, finding one and killing one and never tolerating, and expanding the scope to the entire Santarin Society. This inevitably affected many of the former Dark Monarch believers who had already converted, leaving many more in deep danger. As a voter of Bane, although he is still the second-in-command of the Santarim Order, and he still holds a key position in the Dark Sun Church, he is obviously not really trusted, and Zor cannot help but feel worried.
Even more worrisome for Zor was his "old friend" Manson, who responded so positively to the Dark Sun Purges that one had to suspect that he was trying to take the opportunity to suppress the Church and rid the Santarim Society of the Church from its influence completely.
Now, ignoring internal instability and the threat of the distant mountain cities and Mumasters, they are planning to occupy Jeraceas and expand their sphere of influence. With Manson's wisdom, he should have been able to realize that this operation would only weaken the power of the Santil Fort and the Santarin Society, but he still insisted on carrying it out, probably because he wanted to take the opportunity to eliminate dissidents.
Hopefully, by replacing his twin brother with Larsendeir, Sefaril, the Sword of the Most High, will succeed, and then Mumaster will turn into an ally of Santil Fort, and things will be much better.
Alas, the crux of the matter lies with the Dark Lord, as long as my lord can return as planned, all problems will be solved. But how can we rescue the Son of God, Sivim, and gather the strength to awaken our Lord?
