Chapter Twenty-Seven: The Lair of the Broken
Kael'thas came over and whispered to Illidan, "Lord Illidan, he said that their tribe has fought demons for generations, which shows that they know everything here, and if we can bring them in for our use, we will be more sure to win the war." β
Illidan nodded and said to Cowch, "Truth be told, we are also enemies of the devil, and now we have declared war on Mathriton. β
"Declaring war with Mathriton?" Coulch's eyes widened, "this is crazy, may Mother Earth bless you." - Can you let me out? I have to rush back, my family may be looking for me. β
"It's okay! there's likely to be a fierce battle here, and you'd better go back as soon as you're out of your doom. Illidan opened the cage.
Colch bowed and said, "Thank you for the rescue, we'll meet later." β
"Wait!" Illidan called out to him.
"Is there anything else going on?" he looked at the other with uneasy eyes.
"Now this land is not very peaceful, since I saved you, I will help you to the end and escort you home. Illidan said, "Kyle, Fasqi, you two send him." β
Kael'thas and Fasqi understood what Illidan meant, and they brought a group of men to escort Calchi.
In the thorn bushes of the southern part of the Hellfire Peninsula, hidden caves lead in all directions, and deep inside the cave is a spacious hall where the Breakers live in seclusion.
"Report to the chief, orcs have recently gathered near our base, and some areas in the north are already filled with orc armies. "A Breaker scout walked into the hall to report to their chief what was going on outside.
"I don't want to care about anything else, now I'm only worried about my sonβdo you have any news?"
"Not yet, but we're trying to find it. β
"Needless to say, he was a fool who ran around all day long, saying he wanted to be an adventurer, and always ended up making trouble for us. - Then again, he is my son after all, and I am such a son, and you have to find a way to find him. β
"Yes, chief, we will do our best to find it. β
As the wind and sand gradually subsided, the group walked through the mound to a sunken valley floor, and the thorn forest became dense.
"I don't know how these creatures survive here. Fasqi said as he straightened his boring hair.
"Ma'am, this is not the place for you. Kael'thas said.
"We used to be High Elves, and after falling into the sea, we adapted to the environment and became Naga, why can't we adapt to the new environment now?"
"Big sister, in fact, we have become what we are now because we have adapted to the new environment. "Do you know that our people were very tall before the mutation, taller than you (he pointed to Kael'thas), stronger than that (pointing to a Naga soldier)? β
"Then why is it getting smaller now? It's not evolution, it's degradation. Kael'thas said.
Coulch lowered his head and his expression became sad: "Since losing the energy to survive, our people have become sick, mutated, and become like this, and have been ostracized and exiled by the original race. β
"Colch. "You know, we all have a similar past, but now, Lord Illidan will lead us to energy and rebirth. If your race is willing to join us, Lord Illidan will find a way to heal you. β
"Is this true? Big sister. Coulch asked, blinking his big watery eyes.
"Of course it's true. "Our people are also suffering from the loss of energy, many of our compatriots have contracted strange diseases, and Lord Illidan has something to bring our people back to life, and we believe that he can overthrow the rule of the demons and make this world a paradise for us." β
"Great, I'll tell my father. β
Colch led a group into the seemingly pathless thorn forest, where he jumped nimbly, always navigating through all kinds of thorns with ease.
Others don't work so smoothly.
"What kind of road is this, it's hard for you to hide in these places. Fasqi twisted his waist and kept dodging the oncoming bushes.
"Because that's the only way we can survive. Colch said.
After a strenuous trek, Coulch stopped, looked behind at Kael'thas covered in barbed wounds, and Fasqi, who had scraped off a few scales, and said, "Here we are." β
He turned over a bush to reveal a hidden cave.
"Oh my God, don't tell us we have to go in from here. Fasqi said, looking at the cave that was only half her height.
"No way, it's designed for our height, but don't worry, it's bigger after the passage. With that, the Breaker jumped into the hole.
The Blood Elf and Naga hunched over.
"In a world ruled by demons, we can only survive by taking a place in an extremely difficult region, or we will end up with the orcs. Coulch said in the dark.
Inside the narrow cave, although the blood elves bent their bodies, their long ears rubbed against the rock wall from time to time, making them miserable. Naga was much better, they were snaking around almost their entire body against the ground, and with the dampness in the cave getting heavier, they became more energetic.
Thankfully, the road wasn't too long, and as Coulch had said, they reached a spacious place lit up by glowing stones on the walls that Azeroth didn't have.
The place was like a doorway, with a stone gate in front of it that was closed more than one person high.
As soon as Cowch approached the stone gate, a huge net suddenly fell from the sky, and a large group of swords-wielding breakers suddenly appeared in the shadows around him.
"Alert! there's an intruder!" shouted a shatterer.
The stone door slowly opened, and another group of Breakers with bows and arrows poured out of the door, their arrows aimed at those who had entered the land.
Seeing that the situation was not right, Fasqi raised his bow, and the other Naga also raised their weapons, and the blood elves chanted spells and prepared to cast spells.
Kael'thas grabbed Queen Naga and ordered the other soldiers to lay down their weapons.
"Don't panic, everyone! It's me! I'm back!" Calci shouted.
A slightly larger man from the Shatterers' army stepped out, looked closely, and said in surprise, "Colchi!?"
"Yes! It's me, Uncle Mennu. β
"Who are they?!"
"Rest assured, they are not demons, they rescued me from the orcs and escorted me home. β
"Escort?" Mennu frowned and said, "Thank you for saving our young master, but I can't let you in until I tell the chief, so I'm sorry for you to wait here for a while." β
Hearing the Breaker call Calch the young master, Kael'thas smiled, and said, "Well, you're welcome, please take care of yourself." Originally, we had completed the mission of escorting and should leave, but at the moment there is important information about your people to inform the leader, please allow us to ask for a meeting, the demon is about to sweep this world, and disaster is about to befall. β
Mennu's attention was focused on the good-looking elf, and he motioned for the soldiers to withdraw their nets, lay down their weapons, and said, "What is it that you say disaster is coming?"
"I'm sorry, but the stakes are high, and I can only tell you chiefs, otherwise...... Leaking secrets is a cause for panic, and we can't afford it. β
"Okay! I'll tell the chief right away. Mennu said, "Young master, let's go back first, for the chief has been talking about you." β
