Chapter 26: The Evil Moon I

The evil moon came, and the night was accompanied by a cold wind that swept through the icy walls of Blackhammer Castle. When Rhodes arrived at the castle with three hundred reinforcements brought from the Ring, the werewolves were already besieging Blackhammer. There were dark shadows on all sides, and terrifying wolf howls came and went.

Even the werewolves' bodies changed slightly in the evil moonlight, and their bodies became larger and stronger. Manic blood rushed through them.

The guards of Blackhammer and Heidelberg stood on the ice wall, firing arrows, javelins and spears at the werewolves attacking from all sides.

"Follow me, attack!"

Riding on his warhorse, Rod raised his arms and shouted.

The moonlight streamed and shone on the three hundred soldiers of the Iron Ring City. They were originally afraid of werewolves, but they didn't know why, but today, under the leadership of Lord Rod, they seemed to feel the blessing of the gods, and their fear disappeared in an instant.

The moment Rods rode out, the soldiers of the Ring City followed closely behind.

The werewolves besieging Blackhammer suddenly felt threatened, and the werewolves in the back row turned their heads, roaring and roaring, revealing their terrible fangs, and almost half of the werewolves began to turn around and pounce on the human force that had come to support. There are probably hundreds of them.

Despite the numerical advantage, Rhodes knew that the battle would still be difficult. Humans in the wild are no match for these beasts. But they had no choice, if they couldn't rush into the castle as fast as they could, join up with the defenders of the city, and wait until the second wave of the beastmen approached, then Blackhammer would be doomed.

In the moonlight, Rhodes was the first to rush into the wolves. The huge cold iron sword slashed through the nearest werewolf with a single sword, and with the power of the warhorse's charge, the knight's long sword tore open the werewolf's scalp, cutting a fatal wound on the werewolf's skull. Black blood splattered suddenly.

The werewolf who rushed to the front suddenly rolled and fell to the ground, and was mended by the human infantry rushing up from behind.

And Rhodes rode his war horse and continued to charge.

The horse instinctively fears werewolves, but the trained warhorse has said goodbye to this fear, and it carries its owner around to kill. Even though the werewolf is very tall and strong, in front of the human heavy knight, no matter how strong the werewolf is, it cannot resist.

Riding his horse, Rhodes crashed into one werewolf after another, and screams came from under the horses' hooves. But Rod didn't have time to look at the bloody corpses, and continued to rush left and right. He tightened the reins, and the steed leaped high, striking off a bloodthirsty werewolf, and the knight's sword fell on the ground again. I saw a flash of cold light, and the werewolf who was in front of Rhodes was pierced through his body by the huge knight's sword.

The guards of the Iron Ring City behind him also followed closely and rushed to kill. But after the hand-to-hand encounter, the ordinary soldiers were obviously not so lucky, and even if they were superior in numbers, the soldiers of the Ring City still fought hard. Before their swords could reach the werewolf, the bloodthirsty werewolf pounced on the soldier, a ferocious bite that bit the human guards on the ground beyond recognition. Blood and shredded flesh peeled from the body, and sharp claws made a terrible cracking sound as they tore through the flesh.

Behind Rod, the soldiers of Ring City were pounced on by a ferocious werewolf, and when they were about to bite, they were impaled through the back by Rod's sword. The werewolf struggled to his feet, only to be cut by the human infantry in front of him with the dagger he carried.

But the other Rings infantry weren't so lucky. Caroline's side, a hoop warrior was bitten by two mad wolves, and one arm was torn off alive, and even his thigh was torn to the bone. The piece of flesh peeled off his body, and Caroline's heart was shocked, but fortunately, the knowledge she learned at the magic academy was not in vain.

The Frost Witch quickly patched herself up with a layer of ice armor. Then he began to chant the spell casting. After killing the Ringed City infantry, the werewolf begins to pounce on the witch, but is taught to become a human by the Frost Witch. The werewolf tried his best to tear through the thin ice barrier, but was killed by Caroline. When the witch finished reciting the incantation, the originally muddy snow began to freeze rapidly, followed by violent fluctuations of magical energy, and countless slender ice crystals suddenly grew on the snow-white ground, like sharp long swords, directly piercing the werewolf's body.

The werewolf that pounced on Caroline was stabbed by a sharp ice needle, and its body was fixed in mid-air, and the other werewolves struggled to pull their bodies out of the ice swords. But the ice sword carried an icy energy, holding their bodies to it, and even freezing the flesh around the wounds. It's that they simply can't pull out.

In just a few minutes, seven or eight werewolves had already died around Caroline. The situation on Rod's side became more and more unfavorable, a raging werewolf pounced on his warhorse, and when Rod landed, three or four werewolves surrounded him at the same time.

He gripped his sword to dodge a werewolf's pounce, sent it into the werewolf's abdomen, and quickly pulled it out, then roared and flew the other werewolf, but was still pounced on by the third werewolf that followed. The raging werewolf grabbed Rhodes with both claws, opened its bloody mouth, and bit directly into Rhodes' head. But Rod's strength was greater, and in less than a heartbeat, Rod's hand had already grabbed the werewolf's throat, and quickly rolled, pinning the werewolf under him, followed by a crazy beating with an iron fist.

Just as the wild man beat Greenskin to death that day, Rod raised his fist and smashed it on the werewolf's head. Until the opponent's blood splashed, the whole wolf's head was beaten into a ball of blood-red flesh......

"Ice Wall!"

The Iron Guards, led by Rod, gradually entered the most densely populated area of werewolves. Not far away, is the ice wall of Blackhammer Castle, but there are still many werewolves standing between the Iron Sanitation Team and the ice wall.

"Khufu, Lawrence, Caroline!

In the chaos of the battlefield, Rhodes observed the situation around him and immediately worked out a temporary solution. With Rhodes as the center, the other three covered their lord's charge and fought their way through the werewolf pile.

Caroline then created an ice spear and followed closely behind several people. The wave of frost spells had consumed most of her mana, and she needed to rest for a few hours before she could cast the spell again. During this time, melee combat became her only means of self-preservation. The high-level wizards in Warhammer are extremely strong in melee combat, and although Caroline is not there yet, she can still deal with one or two werewolves.

Above the ice wall, the guards of Blackhammer Castle threw spears and shot at the werewolves who stood in Rhodes' way.

Ten, twelve, fourteen...... The number of werewolves who died under Rhodes' sword continued to increase, and in front of them, the gate of the ice wall had been opened, and the chief knight Virgil led a dozen of the most elite warriors of Blackhammer Castle to rush out of the city......
