Chapter 8 The Catastrophe of the World and the Robbery of the Body

During the summer vacation, Jin Kang continued to stay at school and did not go home. Jin Kang practiced while working and studying, and at the same time continued to set up a stall at night.

To be precise, Jinkang meditates and practices the Dharma Sutra when setting up a stall.

However, the good times didn't last long, and Jin Kang found himself uncomfortable again, feeling the breath in his body wandering around, just like in high school. Jin Kang wondered if the pain in his early years had recurred. I used to have a similar illness when I was cultivating myself. The disease is still so strange, often chills and fever, and it seems to have the feeling of high school again. Strangely, Jin Kang suffered from pain in the fracture of his hands when he was young. These injuries have long been healed, but now it seems to have recurred, and the pain of the former injuries is always unbearable.

On the surface, he tried not to show anything abnormal, but secretly he endured it very hard, and he felt pain all over his body even when he got up.

When he was at a loss, the old man didn't know when he appeared. Facing the old man who had disappeared for a while, Jin Kang was speechless for a while. Fortunately, he came at the critical moment.

The old man said that he had encountered difficulties and bottlenecks. I told him about the situation. He smiled and said congratulations, you're on your way through a new level. Taoists refer to the situation you are in now as suffering from calamity. In the process of cultivation, the body gradually becomes stronger, and the hidden diseases and illnesses that the original body suffered will erupt at a certain stage. In the West, this is called "purity of the body", which means that only when you cross this hurdle, the body will retreat from illness and thus be healthy. Jin Kang asked, this happened when he was in high school, and he gave up practicing because he had no one to guide him. The old man said, "Only when you are blessed will you have the opportunity to resume your cultivation." There are countless examples of self-enlightenment and enlightenment, but there are very few people who have truly attained enlightenment. Jin Kang thanked him again.

The old man suddenly said, "I've known you for so long, and I haven't told you where I came from, so I'll give you one by one now."

It turned out that the old man was a priest of Linglu Palace, and his name was Tianji Daoren.

Linglu Palace is on this Linglu Mountain. Linglu Palace was first built in the 14th year of Chenghua of Ming Xianzong, when Zhu Jianjun, the king of Jijian, was in Baisha, the building took the palace shape, but the old palace has long been abandoned. During the Jiajing period, the Taoist priest Li Kejing presided over the repair, and planted pine, cypress, paulownia, catalpa and thousands of bamboos, so that the scenery around Guanyu was completely new. During the Longqing period, there was a Taoist priest Jin Shoufen who practiced here, and he raised funds to expand the land, added the hall, renamed the Linglu Palace, built five houses, chiseled stones as pillars, covered with iron tiles, to resist wind and snow. The front hall of the palace is the Guan Temple, the middle hall is dedicated to Emperor Xuan, the name is the Xuanwu Patriarch Palace, and the apse is dedicated to the "Three Qings". Taoism takes Yuqing Yuan Shi Tianzun, Shangqing Lingbao Tianzun, Taiqing Daode Tianzun (Taishang Laojun) as the highest god, combined with Sanqing, so it is called Sanqing Palace. Linglu Palace thus became a Taoist attraction. Taoism advocates self-forest, advocates "rule by doing nothing", always chooses a quiet and beautiful place to establish a palace view, self-cultivation, medicine and alchemy, in order to achieve the Tao into immortals, and regards these places as the abode of immortals, thus forming the famous ten caves, thirty-six small caves and seventy-two blessed lands. And the Yunlu Palace, which is surrounded by towering peaks and mountains, stone bones, and verdant trees and bamboos, is the twenty-third blessed land - "Cave True and Void Blessed Land".

Tianji Taoist was born in troubled times, and because of his poor family, he worshiped Linglu Palace and became a Taoist priest. During the anti-Japanese period, the Tianji Dao people also enlisted in the army to kill the enemy, and after the founding of New China, the Tianji Dao people who had no children, no daughters, and no worries returned to Linglu Palace. Cultivation has also encountered a bottleneck, so Tianji Dao people often go down the mountain to enter the red dust to practice, hoping to break through in the red dust and cultivate the avenue. I accidentally met Jin Kang, who was self-cultivation, in Linglu Mountain, and felt that Jin Kang had good roots, so he started to accept apprentices.

Now, Jin Kang has entered the cultivation and first glimpsed the doorway, and the people of Tianji Dao came to make rules.

The Heavenly Machine Daoist told Jin Kang that no matter whether there was a sect or not, he must abide by the precepts of the cultivation world. There are three precepts in practice: first, do not be arrogant and take the heart of heaven as your own heart; Second, he has to manifest himself as a god in the world; 3. Do not be self-righteous and deceive others of their faith and bring trouble to the world. The general meaning is that there is a boundary between the inside and outside of the red dust, and it is not allowed to rely on cultivation to oppress and harm other living beings. It is said that it is a rule established by the predecessor of the Shoitchi.

Jin Kang silently added a few points in his heart, cultivators should love the country and the party, and serve the people wholeheartedly.

The Tianji Taoist said, "There are good and bad cultivators, good and evil, no different from the world." The difference between good and bad depends on the heart. ”

"Generally speaking, the famous and decent or fair and decent are the mainstream, and there are occasional small people. Crooked and heretical ways are generally deep and simple, and they are very hidden."

"Your identity as a practitioner must be kept secret to avoid misfortune."

The Tianji Daoist mainly talks about some taboos and precautions for the introduction of cultivation, and has not officially accepted Jin Kang as a disciple for the time being.
