Teaching: "I am in samsara, I enter the gate of sentient beings, and then I enter samsara." ”

Li Yan shook his head and said with his divine sense: "Master Dharma Transmission, do you know why there are fewer and fewer monks who go west to seek Buddha? For example, I came by order, for the catastrophe of heaven and earth. If the Buddha's mind is not in me, I will not come, after all, everyone has the heart to cherish their lives. ”

The expression of the Fa transmission was like that of a child, both serious and innocent, and he nodded: "I understand all the reasoning you said. Now it is not as good as when Hongmeng was at the beginning, when all the monks traveled in all directions and looked up to the heavens and the earth and realized the avenue of self-enlightenment, and there were various cultivation inheritances in the world. To seek Buddha in the west, you must pass through the gate of sentient beings. …… I came to wait for you. You're finally here, my ambition is gone, thank you! ”

Liyan stood up and said in a divine voice: "What does the master have to thank me?" Anyway, I should thank you! The gate of sentient beings is the door to Buddhahood. ”

He laughed non-stop when he passed on the Dharma: "Meeting is fate, you sit down first, and I will tell you about the Buddhist 'Four Thoughts' mental method, maybe it will be useful to you." I was thinking about sleeping for ten days and ten nights, and when I woke up, it was time to leave. Seeing that the Dharma Transmission Monk had fallen asleep against the door frame, he was snoring with the Yulu vase in his arms, and a trace of saliva was dripping from the corner of his mouth. Continuing on, Liyan walked to the famous Nai He Bridge.

According to legend, there is a road called Huangquan Road, there is a river called Lechuan River, and there is a bridge called Naihe Bridge. There is an earthen platform called Wangxiang Terrace after walking across the Nai He Bridge, there is an old woman named Meng Po who is selling Meng Po soup on the side of Wangxiang Terrace, there is a stone called Sansheng Stone by the Lechuan River, Meng Po Soup makes you forget everything, and Sansheng Stone records your past and present life. We walked across the Nai He Bridge, looked at the world for the last time on the Wangxiang Terrace, and drank a cup of water boiled in the Lechuan River.

This bridge is the boundary and begins a new reincarnation.

Bluestone bridge deck, five steps, west of the bridge for women, east of the bridge for men, left yin and right yang. "Whoever dies at the age of ninety-seven will wait three years on the bridge." A thousand years of retrospective, a hundred years of promise. Maybe the relationship between husband and wife in this life began and ended here.

However, under the bridge for thousands of feet, the clouds and mist are entangled, and no one knows what the way to wait for the next life. The promise of the next life is just a follow-up to this life, after drinking Meng Po soup, everything has been forgotten, and the meeting in the next life is just a new beginning.

What a bridge, what a parting in the past life, how to meet in this life, but how to reunite in the next life.

When he came to the side of the bridge, he completely understood why the monks taught the Dharma to teach the "four thoughts" of Buddhism. The so-called four thoughts refer to the place of body thoughts, the place of receiving thoughts, the place of mind thoughts, and the place of Dharma thoughts, and the specific method is to contemplate the impurity of the body, the contemplation of suffering, the impermanence of the mind, and the contemplation of the Dharma without self, and the key to the mental method lies first in the word "contemplation". As a result, Liyan also passed on the "Four Thoughts" mental method to the Heart Ape Wukong, Zhu Bajie and Long Xiaotian.

After crossing the Nai Ho Bridge, you have to enter the view. What you see in front of you is the view of samsara. However, the bones under the bridge are full of bones, and the stench is overwhelming, and ordinary people are unbearable. It is necessary to cultivate the "Four Thoughts" mental method in order to pass it smoothly.

Liyan and the others have just walked through the gate of sentient beings, and their bodies and minds have been thoroughly refined, which has confirmed the clarity of the spiritual platform and reached the realm of immortality of divine consciousness.

Everyone has cultivated the "Four Thoughts" mental method, from contemplating the impure body to contemplating the Dharma without self, and also to achieve a state of impurity, no self and no other, so that they can walk across the Nai He Bridge in a normal state of mind.

Spreading the Dharma is to receive the monks, specifically to follow the decree of the law, to come to the introduction of Liyan and deeds, and naturally to teach the law of crossing the bridge Liyan and others.

Because of the addition of Buddhism, Liyan and others easily crossed the Nai He Bridge.

Just as he was about to move forward, there was a noise in front of him.

"Who are you? How dare you come here! Liyan heard someone shouting and asking in front of him, and saw some strange-shaped men walking out of the mountains, each holding a magic weapon and approaching.

Heart Ape Wukong stepped forward and replied: "My Heart Ape Wukong, this is my master Liyan Monk, this is Zhu Bajie and Long Xiaotian, we will go to the West Heaven to learn the scriptures." ”

Just kidding, Monkey King is the master of the Heavenly Palace, and he can't afford to offend the character. Liyan smiled slightly, the prestige of the heart ape Wukong is not covered. Buddhism sent him to guard Liyan, and this westward journey will save a lot of trouble.

Wukong still wants to inquire about some information, but he has long since disappeared.

Liyan took everyone to find a place to rest and earnestly practice the "Four Thoughts" mental method.

Zhu Bajie is the most lazy, he doesn't want to practice, he just thinks about eating delicious food, watching beautiful women, and is idle all day long, and he doesn't want to continue to practice the "Four Thoughts" mental method.

Long Xiaotian was still thinking about how to re-establish Yanshan Villa and develop the agriculture and sightseeing tourism of Liyan Villa in the future, and he was not very interested in continuing to practice the "Four Thoughts" mental method.

Heart Ape Wukong has long been cultivated by Da Luo Jin Immortal, and he is not interested in the "Four Thoughts" mental method.
