Chapter 1: Hesitation

A seaside town.

At dusk, in front of a small building in the suburban villa community, a woman was standing.

She was young, almost a girl. A simple white dress was worn on her slender body, which looked very pure and elegant, with thick black hair tied into a high ponytail at the back of her head, and a pair of large wide-brimmed sunglasses on her beautiful face, which almost covered half of her melon seed face.

She had been standing in front of the door of the house for a few moments, but she didn't seem to have decided whether to go in or not.

A white Mercedes drove from the entrance of the community and stopped in front of a villa not far away. The girl was in a hurry, afraid of being seen by the people in the car, so she hurriedly took out the key from her handbag, quickly opened the door, and escaped into it.

It was dark in the room, and when the young woman came in from outside, it was pitch black in front of her, and she felt like she couldn't see her fingers. She stood nervously at the door, waiting for her eyes to adjust to the darkness, for a long time, she still couldn't see anything, then she remembered that she was still wearing dark sunglasses, reached out and took them off, and shook her head to herself: "Didn't you think about it a long time ago?" Why are you still panicking like this? ”

Although it was still dark, her eyes had already adjusted a little, and she could vaguely see the entire layout of the room.

This is a small two-story building, the area is not too big, about more than 300 square meters, she is now standing in the position of the door, on the left is a living room of nearly 30 square meters, the curtains of the living room have all been closed, leaving only a window near the kitchen without curtains, the outdoor light through this only passage is very faintly illuminated, so that she can see the narrow staircase facing the door.

She was not puzzled by the dim light, which was agreed in the contract and insisted on it. She didn't turn on the light switch that was beside her, and walked up the stairs by the faint light.

Upstairs is a four-bedroom layout, next to the stairs to the left row of three rooms, the doors are tightly closed, on the right is a living room exactly the same as downstairs, and at the end of the living room there is a room, the door is hidden.

The young woman's eyes were staring at the black door, her heart was beating like a drum, although she had been fully prepared before she came, but at this moment she could not help but tremble her legs slightly, and her hands were crossed and clenched tightly in front of her chest, because the back of her hand hurt because of the excessive force.

She took a deep breath and forced herself towards the half-open door. The upstairs light was even darker than the downstairs, and I could barely see the direction of the door. There was silence all around, but intuitively, she sensed that a strange man was waiting for her in that hidden door.

The man sat quietly on a chair in the room, his face against the door, patiently waiting for the woman to come in.

In fact, as soon as she entered the door, he had already heard her voice. She paused at the door for a moment and began to go upstairs, her steps as light as a nocturnal cat, but her excessive nervousness and unfamiliarity with the environment revealed her whereabouts. She stopped again at the staircase on the second floor, perhaps trying to discern the direction, perhaps a little hesitant, she paused for a moment this time, and finally, as if having made up her mind, she began to walk towards the room where he was, her steps were still light, but firm, without the slightest hesitation, but the slowness of her steps betrayed her inner apprehension and uneasiness.

The man's eyes widened, and the long wait made him curious about the woman outside the door.
