Chapter 11 Modes of Getting Along
When Banner saw Oakes use natural magic to quickly spawn a large sapling, he nearly transforms again.
"This is the Druid?"
Banner pointed to a large field of green saplings in front of him, and danced with his hands:
"Are Celtic myths true?"
"Experimental accidents, just experimental accidents, but the abilities are indeed very similar.
Maybe I should go back to Ireland and maybe I'll find out nothing. β
Oakes coughed lightly and hooked his fingers, and a tiny vine rose from Benner's feet, wrapping his feet into a pair of rattan shoes.
"It's a little less comfortable, but at least it's better than you're barefoot, isn't it?"
Banner was silent for a moment, then nodded heavily:
"Sure enough, science knows no bounds, and you're lucky to have the power you can fully control."
He didn't believe it, but he had to believe it, because he couldn't explain it.
Like he couldn't explain the Hulk.
"Uh...... How do we get out? How far is it from a human city? β
Hulk form, Banner knew he would reach the vicinity of the human settlement with perverted speed and strength before transforming back.
But now, even if Oakes can turn into a bird, he can't bring people......
Hey? If he turns into a leopard, he can ride it himself, and it won't be slow, right?
"Dr. Banner, are you thinking of some faux pas?"
The corners of Oakes' mouth twitched, and the glitter in Banner's eyes he understood at a glance.
Don't think about it, no way, say goodbye!
No one wants to ride a noble druid!
"Let's go out by boat."
With a wave of his hands, a large mass of thick vines grew, and soon formed a rudimentary hull.
Then, the vine hardened rapidly, and Banner went up and pulled it, but he couldn't pull it at all, and the hardness of this thing was comparable to that of a log.
"It's a handy ability, like in a cartoon."
"It's just that it's easier to use in the forest, but you can't be so casual outside."
Oakes shrugged, turned into a bear form, and pulled the long vine in front of the rattan boat to drag it into the river not far away, and Banner followed.
"Whew-"
Oakes' throat almost scared Banner green, and after a while, he saw the water ripple, and half of his head was exposed.
"Crocodile!"
Banner pressed his heart hard, and Oakes shouted out a crocodile?
The giant brown bear that Oakes had turned into looked at the crocodile for a while, and the crocodile slowly swam to the front of the rattan boat, opened its mouth wide and bit the vine it was dragging on, and looked back at them.
"Let's go, Dr. Banner."
Oakes reverts to human form, jumps onto the rattan boat, and beckons to Banner:
"With this caiman, we should be in human city in the evening β you won't want to spend the night in the rainforest."
ββ¦β¦β
Banner cautiously jumped onto the rattan boat, numb to the effects of Oakes' so-called "experimental accident."
Can you still command the beasts? Say whatever you say.
"Let's go!"
β¦β¦
Caimans are indeed very fast swimmers, and they arrive at their destination before the sun sets.
It is located in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, the largest city in the Amazon basin and the capital of the Brazilian state of Amazon, Manaus.
"Aha, it's nice to have factories from Nokia and Siemens, and there's a free zone."
Finally returning to human society, Banner is in a good mood, especially with Oakes, he doesn't have to worry about the possible madness at any time.
"I've been here a few times, but this is a free trade zone in Brazil, and it's not a good place if you want to hide your identity."
Now Oakes and Banner arrived at the hotel that Oakes had booked, took a beautiful shower, changed clothes, filled their stomachs, and returned with Oakes' experimental equipment.
After three days of testing, they finally had an eyebrow on Banner's blood.
"Dr. Banner, what do you think of Hulk's existence?"
After using pure plant extracts and natural magic to purify Banner's blood, Oakes discovered that the activity of Banner's blood cells was indeed inhibited.
When the force of nature is exhausted, the blood activity will be reversed, but it will be calmer than at the beginning.
But this is limited to cases where the blood is outside the body.
They also tried injections and oral administrations, and the effects of the two methods were similar, the difference was how quickly they took effect, but the common point was that after the natural power contained in the potion was consumed, the blood activity would quickly return to its original state.
"Have you ever wanted to be in control of your current state?"
"I want to get rid of him! Instead of being in control! β
Banner was happily looking at his purified blood sample under the microscope, and blurted out without thinking about it:
"He's brought me so much misfortune!"
"But based on the current research, I can tell you for sure that Hulk is an independent consciousness that is distinct from Bruce Banner."
Oakes shrugged, Banner was very resistant to Hulk now, but there was no way around it.
Who told Hulk to hurt his girlfriend, Dr. Betty, and his father-in-law, General Ross, has always coveted Hulk's power and never gave up pursuing him.
"For the abnormalities at the blood level, I can find a way to help you suppress them, at most, you can drink more special potions I concocted, but for the independent personality consciousness at the spiritual level, you still need to solve it yourself."
Seeing that Banner's complexion became helpless as the forces of nature in the observation sample were exhausted, Oakes took out a large bottle of emerald green potion and handed it to Banner:
"Dr. Banner, while your blood is in your body, there's a trigger that leads them to regain their activity quickly, and I think that's Hulk's latent consciousnessβ
It's as if the subconscious mind of the human brain is doing the breathing, heartbeat, and metabolism. β
Banner sighed, took his eyes off the microscope, and took Oakes' potion:
"I'm aware of that, too, but I really can't accept his coexistence with me for the time being!"
"Perhaps these elixirs will allow you to experience coexistence in a state of peace.
I can't stay here for long, I have a trainee clerk in the store who doesn't know how to restock things if they run out. β
As a joke, Oakes smiled and patted Banner's arm:
"You take one capful of these agents a day, which should continue to suppress your blood activity.
But if you encounter an extreme situation, such as a life-threatening situation, the Hulk will still run out on its own. β
"Ha, the subconscious of self-preservation."
Banner shrugged and sighed:
"When I fled to the Arctic Circle, I tried to kill myself by swallowing a gun in desperation, and the Hulk came out and spat out the bullet.
Since then, I have been vaguely aware...... It's just that I've always been unwilling. β
"Thank you, Oakes...... You have given me new hope! β
Banner looked at Oaks earnestly, stood up and bowed solemnly to him:
"I think I should think about how I get along with Hulk again."
