Chapter Forty-Nine: The Sorrowful Mobley
Seeing Xiwen's promise that his notes would be used as teaching materials for the next year, Miranda couldn't help but laugh a little.
"How can you get the confidence of a freshman who has just been in class for a week, and you haven't even counted several classes for you!" Miranda said amusedly.
"The main thing is to have faith in you." Xiwen laughed.
But what gave him real confidence was the entire library of books at home, and he had never seen such detailed, vivid, and understandable notes as Miranda had ever read in them.
'Maybe you can really make a small profit from Miranda's book?' Xiwen thought to himself.
Then, he pulled out a heavy leather bag from the pocket watch space and handed it to Miranda.
"These are for you, and they will be used as an initial investment in the 'Book of Spells'!" Xiwen said.
Miranda took the leather bag in confusion, and when she opened it, she barely blinded her eyesβa bag full of glittering golden galleons glowed in the reflection of the sun, reflecting half of Miranda's face under her glasses!
Miranda's lips opened slightly, and the whole person froze.
Xiwen looked at this scene and showed a smile of prank success.
It took a long time for Miranda to come back to her senses, subconsciously stuffed the money bag back to Xiwen, and said, "No, this is too much!" β
Xiwen took a half step back, dodged the money bag that Miranda wanted to stuff back, and said nonchalantly: "It's just an investment, don't you think your notes are not perfect enough!" Then use the money to find more information, and you can also exchange a few letters with those experts and scholars, and even bring some gifts to visit Professor Wolfflin. You know what I mean, right? β
Miranda looked at him with tears and laughter, and said, "Then there is no need for so much!" I'll tell you the truth, I haven't seen so many Galleons since I was a kid. β
"Don't worry, it's just a small amount of my pocket money!"
Xiwen turned and walked towards the clearing to the northwest, smiled and waved his hand, not taking a cloud with him.
Only Miranda was left standing in place, her expression numb.

After leaving the lawn of the teaching area, Xiwen looked at the time, and found that he had been chatting with Miranda for a long time, and it was probably too late to do the morning exercise now.
So he decisively decided to fish for a day, and gave himself a day off when he had just recovered from a serious illness!
With plenty of time after cutting off an event, Xiwen walked leisurely to the Owl Tower to the northwest, preparing to write a letter to Sandrine and send it back.
He found a large stone in advance halfway through, flattened it with Transfiguration, and then brought out a small stool from the pocket watch space and placed it next to the stone. Simple tables and chairs are ready!
Then he took out the parchment paper and quill that had been stored in the pocket watch space for a rainy day, and began to write a reply to Sandrine comfortably.
"Dear Mother: Two days ago I had a thrilling adventure with Professor Kettleburn in the Forbidden Forest, and there was a little accident, but it was not a big problem. I also got the opportunity to learn alchemy from Professor Dumbledore......"
In order to prevent Sandrine from worrying, he shy away from telling her about the two days, and then paused to think about how to express what he had said about Elciona.
"I don't think there's a need to be in such a hurry about the marriage contract with the Greengrass family, it's not the same era as before, and love or something can go with the flow. Just trust me, are you still worried that I won't find the right match? β
He wrote such words shamelessly, and even felt very good about himself.
Then, with his quill and small stool, he took the parchment and walked to the Owl Tower, which was already not far away.
By the time we arrived at the Owl Tower, the handwriting on the paper had dried smoothly on the way. Xiwen picked a public owl that looked fairly clean, fed it a few pieces of leftover jerky from the kitten, and successfully bought it.
The owl tamedly stretched out his foot and asked Xiwen to roll the letter into a tube and tie it to it.
Looking at the owl flapping its wings and flying away, Xiwen couldn't help but imagine that he could fly freely without the help of a broomstick.
'Maybe you can build a flying magic weapon yourself after learning alchemy?' He thought casually.

As soon as the first Defence Against the Dark Arts class began, Professor Lorley began to have the young wizards step up to the podium one by one to check their mastery of the Spark Charm.
"I know you're skilled, Mr. Rozier." Professor Lowe said as he looked at Shiwen with deep eyes. "You don't have to be tested."
Xiwen looked at the professor's deep eyes, and always felt a strange sense of familiarity, and couldn't help but look at it a few more times.
"Anything else, Mr. Rozier?" Professor Lorley asked.
"Oh, it's okay Professor." Only then did Xiwen react, hurriedly returned to sit next to Elciona, and began to idly flip through the book "Dark Magic: A Guide to Self-Defense" on the table, and preview the rest of the content by himself.
It is worth mentioning that most young wizards can only make their wands emit a very faint light mist after reciting the spell, which is basically invisible in bright sunlight.
Only Elciona of Slytherin, Abraxas, Gomez, and Moody of Gryffindor meet the requirements of a professor.
Professor Lore's face became more and more ugly, and when he finished checking everyone's grasp, he pursed his lips even more indifferently.
"You haven't practiced even once on your own after class." He propped his elbows on the lectern, bent down to look down at the little wizards in the audience, and said in a cold voice. "Do you know that when you encounter danger, you who can't even send a signal will have no ability to protect yourself!"
"Mobley Wore, stand up!" Professor Lorey suddenly pointed at Mobley in the audience and said loudly. "All three of your roommates have learned the Spark Charm, why can't you?!"
Mobley stood up in a panic and said with a sweaty head, "I...... I didn't know they were going to be ......."
"Don't know?" Professor Lorley laughed angrily. "That means if they haven't learned, you have a valid reason not to learn?"
"No, it's not ......," Mobley replied hesitantly.
"Then tell me yourself, can your signal be seen by others?" Professor Lorley shouted.
"No, you can't ......"
"So you were the first person to die in danger?"
Mobley was speechless.
Xiwen secretly mourned his roommate for two seconds.
Forget it yourself, the roommates all know that they have already used their wands to learn magic at a time when ordinary young wizards are far from being able to control their own magic.
As for Gomez, since the last time he told him that he could work hard to join Professor Slughorn's club, he has been working hard, going to the library every day to study, and he can't see anyone until the evening.
And Abraxas, who played chess with him in the dormitory, actually "betrayed" him to join the team that learned the Spark Charm, which Mobley couldn't have imagined. It can only be said that Abu's talent is indeed quite good, and he has been taught a lot of things by his strict father at home, so much so that he gave Mobley a surprise!
Thinking about it this way, Mobley is really pitiful......
