Chapter 15: The Six Paths of Reincarnation!
Chapter 15: Six Paths of Reincarnation!
"What is the path you want to realize?" the ancient voice came again.
Nangong Hao said directly without hesitation: "Reincarnation Dao!"
"What is reincarnation?"
Nangong Hao was silent!
In his understanding, two people sleep in the same bed, and their dreams are each a world of their own self. If this dream world is real, then where is this world?—— the Milky Way, outside the Milky Way, on the far side of the moon?—— superstitious people will try to locate and confirm the location of the other world in the material world. And jumping out of superstition, you will find that the world in this dream is objectively non-existent, but the objective non-existence is not without effect, in this person's subjective perception, because he tasted all the "eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind" formed by the perception - this dream, for this person, subjectively but real!
Hell Road, Hungry Ghost Road, Animal Road...... They don't exist in the physical world of this galaxy. It exists on another level, the overlap of everyone's dreams and dreams, and the reason why this dream overlaps is the same as the overlap of the material world, which is the causal relationship of each person. The material world is a dream, the six realms of reincarnation, and a dream, which mirrors each other, overlaps each other, interferes with each other, and influences each other.
When people are alive, they never worry about getting lost in dreams, because people have the physical body of this world, and when they wake up, their spirits are stable and stop in the river. This is also the reason why people never disdain the dream of the spiritual world - stay on the body, the body is like the "big iron anchor" of the ship, when the person who will not be lost in time and space is alive, in fact, the "six paths" have always followed him, but the "big iron anchor" of the material body has always firmly fixed him in the material world - even if it is a nightmare, he will still return to the real material world when he wakes up.
But when a person dies and loses this body, it's a completely different story. The "six realms" will appear, and you will no longer be able to have a body that positions itself in the material world as you are alive. At this time, the various dreams that people experience are real to this person. From a materialist point of view, this spiritual "six realms" does not exist, but for the person who is dreaming in it, this world is as real as the real material world. In the real material world, people rely on "eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind" to perceive existence, and after death, people also rely on "eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind" to experience the "six realms of reincarnation".
When people are alive, they do good deeds and accumulate virtues, and their hearts are naturally spacious, and their dreams are naturally bright and clean, which is the so-called "good way to die", just like living people have good dreams. The dream after death is different from the dream of the living, because there is no physical bond, this dream may be for a long, long time, and even in it, there is no sense of time at all. The dreamer, perhaps in a second in the material world, will be in his subjective feelings as if centuries have passed, so when talking about the "six realms", the time of pleasure and suffering is often measured in "eons" - this is only a subjective feeling, objectively, he may just dream for a few minutes, and then, according to Buddhism, he will be reborn and reborn at the right time.
It is easy to understand that it is impossible for any person to dream forever or to have nightmares permanently, because energy is in motion, and yin and yang are transforming into each other. A person who cultivates during his lifetime, a person who does good deeds and accumulates virtues, and a good person may be able to die in the "Heavenly Dao" for a while, but no one can guarantee the length of time that this kind of enjoyment in the "Heavenly Dao" will be long. The "demon king" in the Buddhist scriptures is synonymous with such a blissful and incomparably long existence, its pleasure time, as if it is eternal and eternal, it does not see the end, so it will lead other living beings to its path of bliss, it is good-willed, and it also has a certain amount of wisdom, but it is not as enlightened as the Buddha, it will lead some people to cultivate the path of rebirth, but it cannot lead them to enlightenment.
The Buddha saw through the illusion of the "six paths" of the entire universe, and realized that no matter what kind of life it is, it is impossible to enjoy eternity in the "six paths", and after an endless time (it may not be long, but the subjective feeling is very long), it will still be reincarnated in it, therefore, the Buddha put forward the view of "liberation into Buddha", liberation from the "six realms of reincarnation", and truly become a free and easy existence, this existence is called "Buddha". Beings who are able to be liberated from samsara, that is, people who have awakened from the dream of the "six realms", are called enlightened beings, awakened beings, and this is also the meaning of "Buddha".
Liberation from samsara is not an actual place to jump out, because the "six realms" are not really objective existence, so the so-called "jumping out of the six realms" is not really a place for people to get out of it and escape from it. The so-called liberation is awakening. A person who is fully awakened is completely out of touch with this dream world, which is "Nirvana", and Nirvana is not death, but the complete awakening of life. There is also a kind of awakening, which can already wake up, but still follow one's own wishes and remain in the dream for a period of time, these people are called "bodhisattvas", and therefore the Diamond Sutra says, what is a bodhisattva? A bodhisattva should be selfless and human, and all living beings should be in the same way as others, and practice generosity—why? Because the bodhisattva's mind must remain awakened, and in the awakened state, there will be no dreams, no so-called changes in you, me, him, and time, and without this kind of enlightenment, there will not be a bodhisattva.
The Buddha summed up the six paths of liberation as "emptiness" and "selflessness", and when a person steps out of a narrow self-concept, he observes the whole dream and thus awakens. When you are a small individual, you will only experience the joys, sorrows, sorrows and sorrows of dreams, and you will not be able to get out of the cycle of the "six realms" by constantly evolving greed, hatred, and ignorance, attachment and fear in the "six realms".
Taoism's "unity of heaven and man" and "non-action" actually have a common result with Buddhism. The difference is that Buddhism emphasizes the subjectivity of the individual to achieve "emptiness" and "selflessness", while Taoism emphasizes the objective result of the individual's hard work, that is, the state in which a person is one with the universe after breaking away from the narrow self. In fact, Buddhism and Taoism say the same thing.
It is impossible for a person to become a universe, this is the greatest greed, the greatest ambition. Because the universe is infinitely vast, a person who pursues the unity of heaven and man on the outside can never succeed. So how can we truly "unite heaven and man"? Only by finding the root of the universe is that the entire universe was created by this "root." What is the root of the universe? If you say that a dreamer, where is the root of his dream?—— in fact, it is the dreamer's man-made dreaming mind! Therefore, the only way to truly study Buddhism and cultivate the Tao is to start from the heart, find one's own heart, and realize oneself.
To get rid of this "six realms of reincarnation", Buddhism uses "empty self-path", Taoism uses "Wuwei Dao", Qilin uses "middle way", and Tianhua uses "heavenly machine". The sayings are different, but they are all the same thing, all for the same purpose of liberation. The true study of Buddhism and cultivation is not an effort to reincarnate in the "Heavenly Path", the six realms are bound to be reincarnated, and the pleasures of the Heavenly Path are the causes of suffering in hell. A true cultivator understands that only by freeing oneself from the six realms can one truly rest and gain eternal peace of mind.
