Chapter 8: The Snow Jade Spider
The sun is like fire, and the desert is like blood. ?
Gordon is in the desert.
The desert here is very peculiar. It's neither white, nor black, nor the ordinary earthy yellow. It is blood-red, red like blood, and when a person walks in it, his face will be reflected red.
It was the middle of the day, and Gordon had been walking in the desert for three days. He rode a camel.
The camel was exchanged for his horse at a post near the edge of the desert, and the owner said he would take good care of it.
After three days of exposure, even an iron man like Gordon is inevitably a little unbearable. But there are some animals that are not afraid of this, and along the way he encountered many monsters that wanted to eat him, but he ate them instead.
He was now shirtless, swarthy, and sweating profusely. With his eyes closed and an egg yolk in each palm, he was baking an omelet. He had a pair of pliers on his left and right shoulders, which he had ripped from a scorpion that wanted to eat him.
To be honest, Gordon had never seen a scorpion that big, nor had he ever seen a scorpion with such a hard shell. If it were in normal times, he would definitely use it to study it carefully, but now he can only use it to fill his stomach.
Then his eyes suddenly opened.
Because the omelet is already baked. He squinted his glasses and looked at them for a moment, then shook his head. He didn't bake it perfectly, and one was even scorched by him.
He compared, and brought an unburnt quiche to the camel's mouth. The camel snorted and shook its head, unhappy.
Gordon had to eat both quiches, and he gave it the clawed meat on his shoulder, and he didn't eat it. Gordon was stunned.
He really admired this big guy for the past two days, he didn't eat or drink for three days and three nights, and he didn't have anything to do with it. He can't do it, if he doesn't drink water every hour, he will die of thirst, and if he doesn't eat for a while, he will starve to death.
The owner of the post station said that the desert is not very big, and if you walk for three days, you will definitely be able to see the Devil's Domain, and if you see the Devil's Domain, that is, you have already walked half the way, and it will not be far from Xiguo.
But now three days had passed, and he had not seen a single shadow. So he had to suspect that he had gone in the wrong direction.
If the direction is wrong in the desert, it is a fatal thing, but Gordon doesn't care, as long as he still has a bottle of water and a can of milk in his bag, he doesn't worry, he is the kind of person who doesn't die until he doesn't see the Yellow River, and he doesn't cry when he doesn't see the coffin.
It doesn't matter if it's in the right direction or not, as long as the camel is walking. In the vast desert, his only headache is walking on his own feet.
"Camel, camel!" Gordon snorted as he rode on the hump, tearing at the flesh of the scorpion.
"Huh-"
Suddenly, things seemed to be going bad, because the camels didn't go any further.
Gordon wondered as he put the two uneaten tongs into his baggage. After looking at it, I couldn't help but gasp.
The desert in front of it was as clear as snow and glowing with white light, and it was a white desert. The red sand is inlaid with white desert, this magnificence, not magnificent, magnificent, suffocating beauty. Gordon was so enchanted that he couldn't help but go inside and find out.
The white desert is not very large, with a radius of fifty miles, crystal like snow, and it is not sand that composes them, but salt crystals.
Legend has it that 40,000 years ago, it was part of the prehistoric giant lake Razor, and then the climate changed and the lake dried up, leaving two lakes, one large and one small. The small one is the Devil's Domain, and the big one is the 'Sea of Death' in the Western Desert.
However, although it is an abundant source of salt, no one comes here to collect salt, because few people who enter here can come out alive.
Gordon is no exception.
But he was a reckless man.
He has walked in, and since he has touched it, he will not go in unless he is a fool.
Sunny, snowy.
Gordon walked in the white desert, and there was only Gordon in the white desert, and there was a camel.
There were white bones on the ground, and every once in a while, a dry bone would appear. The broad soles of the camel's feet make a 'clucking' sound when they step on the salt crystals.
"Wow!
The snow-white world, Gordon looked around. His eyes are half-squinted, and the reflection is so strong that when he opens his eyes, he can blind people.
There was no sign of life here, only dead silence.
"Hey, anyone?" Gordon suddenly shouted, and the end was long.
"If there was no one, I would come in. Gordon muttered. After all, no one has been to this snow-white desert for many years, but if he enters, he will leave a line of camel prints, destroying this spotless white world. Thinking of this, he inevitably felt a little guilty in his heart.
Desolate desert, desolate people. The desolate desert may be like the desolate people, and there must be a desolate story.
Remnant sun, white snow.
It was already dusk, and Gordon was walking slowly in the desert. Along the way, instead of encountering the beasts that came to eat him, he was surprisingly quiet.
Quiet, he wanted to take a nap. So he relaxed, and when he relaxed, that is, trouble was coming.
"Oh no! There's something weird about the desert here. Gordon was suddenly shocked, and his brow was already wrinkled into a pimple.
There was a protruding sand dune in front of him, and it was moving, and the direction of movement was his place, and the speed was amazing.
The earth trembled, and the salt crystals on the ground pulsed slightly.
A camel is not a horse, it can't run fast. Gordon's face sank, and he flew up and slammed into the dune.
"Boom-"
There was a rapid hissing sound from underground, and Gordon felt like it had been smashed against an iron plate and bounced off. He did two flips and landed firmly on the ground, gasping for air.
The monster hidden in the sand dunes has been revealed. It's a huge spider with a snow-white body. The hideous fangs, the hard shell armor, and the four pairs of scarlet eyes seemed to be spiritual, like a brush dipped in paint, brushing around his body.
"Spider!" Gordon's mouth gaped in surprise. He now understands why everyone who came here has gone and never returned, it turns out that there are monsters hidden underground.
He stared at the snow-white spider, not daring to be careless.
The spider's scarlet eyes were also staring at Gordon, and suddenly its fangs flicked like on both sides, spitting out a thick stream of white spider silk.
"And spit silk!" Gordon was shocked and hurriedly dodged. The opponent is unknown, and he doesn't want to take it hard.
"Whew-"
Wherever it was covered with spider silk, there was a snorting sound, and the salt crystals melted rapidly. Soon a large crater appeared.
Salts and acids do not react easily, and only in rare cases do they react. Gordon didn't dare to be careless, if these spider silks spit on his body, it would definitely be uncomfortable. Metal bodies melt faster.
"Good fellow, not only can you spit silk, but you can spit so poisonously. Gordon sighed in his heart, and the iron on his body was a little darker.
The Snow Jade Spider, who had not succeeded in a single blow, was obviously already annoyed. Its chelicerae vibrated and hissed.
These two chelicerae are much larger than its fangs, and if ordinary people are caught by him, they will definitely be cut in half.
In a trance, Gordon was already lunging at him. Gordon leaped and dodged another blow. But what he didn't expect was that the spider's attack this time was aimed at camels.
By the time Gordon reacted, the snow jade spider had already spit out spider silk from its silk glands, enveloping the camel underneath.
"Whew-"
A cloud of smoke rose from the air, and the camel fell with a wail.
"No—" Gordon's whole heart went cold when the camel fell. This camel carried him through the desert for three days and three nights, and it would be a lie to say that there was no emotion.
By the time the camel fell, the jade spider had already rushed over, its fangs already tearing apart the camel's flesh and devouring it.
A loud devouring sound, accompanied by the cry of pain from the camels.
"Hey, stop me!" Gordon's body trembled, and one of his arms, with his muscles throbbing, had skyrocketed to the size of a bowl.
Of course, the snow jade spider couldn't understand his words, and was still devouring it frantically. I don't know how long it's been since I eaten.
"Bastard, I'll tell you to stop!" Gordon's voice roared, and by the time he spoke, his people had already swept up.
"Barrel Repeater"
He attacked from above, and hit the snow jade spiders eating like a storm. When the thick fist of the iron bucket fell, the sound of bones shattering was heard, and the rapid hissing of the snow jade spider was heard.
"Bastard" Gordon gritted his teeth and frantically punched. He didn't stop until he couldn't hear a sound.
After he stopped, the snow jade spider had already been beaten into meat sauce by him.
His face was pale, and he stood still. He was regretting that if he had done it earlier, maybe the camel wouldn't have died.
He watched as the camels were eaten and sat down cross-legged. Suddenly, a round, glowing white bead rolled at his feet.
Gordon bowed his head
