Chapter 12: Caught in Crisis
Hall immediately understood that something was slamming a stone on the door.
He had long heard that the goblin was a low-level goblin that was a mischievous creature that would hide when he met people and then play tricks on them in the dark.
Although these creatures are timid and will run away when they encounter a large number of people, they will occasionally come up in groups to attack and steal the human's belongings, or kill the human.
Hale had heard several rumors of being attacked and killed by goblins, so he wouldn't be stupid enough to open the door.
He stood up, put on his clothes, and walked up to the attic.
The attic window was not closed, and a cool breeze poured in through the window, whining.
The two crystal balls on the two pillars of the round table shone slightly, but they were dimmer than candles.
Instead of paying any attention to that, Hall stood on tiptoe and looked down from the attic window.
Under the window happened to be the wooden door downstairs, Hall looked curiously, only to see that there were two pebbles, one large and one small, lying quietly in the doorway under the wooden door.
But he didn't see any goblins, only the grass in the distance was dark and faint, and the wind was blowing and making a rattling sound.
Holden felt a little frightened, and was about to retract his head, when a small black shadow suddenly appeared in the weeds, quickly rushed to the wooden door, threw out a stone, and then turned his head into the grass.
Hall was really taken aback, because where was the goblin just now, it was obviously a human child in a black robe!
"Hey, little one, what are you doing there?" called Hale, his voice loud.
But the other party did not answer him...... The grass is still undulating.
Hale went downstairs, then picked up the dagger and wooden shield that Anglo had given him, and cautiously opened the door.
"Whewββ" A gust of wind blew, and Hall almost couldn't open his eyes.
When he looked up, the little child was standing in the clearing in front of the grass, with his back to Hall, his head bowed, and not saying a word.
Hall cautiously raised his shield, walked over slowly, and shouted, "Little one, are you lost?
The child did not answer, but seemed to nod.
Hall finally breathed a sigh of relief and said, "I'll help you! Come into the house, it's so cold outside!"
The child shook his head, but still did not speak, and then he rushed into the grass and disappeared in an instant.
Hall was taken aback, took three steps and made two steps, came to the grass, and looked for a long time, but where was the shadow of a child?
He hesitated for a moment, but finally decided to take a look in the grass, after all, the child was lonely, and it was not safe in the barren mountains and mountains.
Curiously, as soon as Hall entered the grass, he quickly found a "path".
The narrow area, about a person's width, is free of weeds, and it is as if the sea of grass has been split in half out of thin air, reaching straight into the distance.
Hall was stunned for a moment, and tentatively walked along the path.
The weeds on both sides were blown by the wind, and they were like human figures, a little eerie.
Hall was a little frightened and couldn't help but hesitate, but then he saw the child squatting on the ground not far in front of him, groping for something on the ground.
Hall shouted angrily, "Wait for me there!"
The child did not look back, but instead sprang up and ran farther away.
Hall gritted his teeth, rushed over without hesitation, and said, "If I catch you, I have to educate you well!"
After a distance of about a few hundred meters, Hall found that it seemed to have reached the end of the sea of grass ahead.
It seemed to have been a house, but now all that was left was ruins, walls no tall as Hale's chest.
There were many broken bricks scattered throughout the house, and weeds had grown out of the cracks in the broken bricks, making it look very desolate.
I don't know how long this house has been deserted, but in short, it gives people a sense of vicissitudes.
Hall slowly approached the ruins, the Discoverer's house should have been quite large before, because the first few hundred meters were all the ruins of this gray-black rubble. It's just that the depths are hidden by an unknown thick fog, which looks mysterious and eerie.
After taking two steps forward, all of a sudden, Hall felt a ringing in his ears, and a series of Venus stars flashed in his eyes, and suddenly he was blind, and he almost lost consciousness.
He hurriedly held on to the wall, gasping for breath.
Hale hadn't heard anything about magical radiation, and naturally didn't know that he had unknowingly arrived in a very dangerous place.
He felt weak and nauseous, but he only retched and couldn't vomit anything.
It was a very uncomfortable feeling, and in desperation, he could only move away from this ruin step by step, because he subconsciously felt that this ruin was doing something wrong.
As he moved with difficulty, the feeling of nausea and dizziness gradually eased, but it also consumed most of Hall's physical strength, beads of sweat seeped from his forehead, and Hall lay on the ground exhausted, panting heavily.
Hall had no idea that if he took another step forward, or if his mental strength was a little weaker, he might never come back.
After lying down, Hall breathed a sigh of relief, only to realize that there seemed to be something hard beside him.
He turned his head to see that he was startled, it was a white skull!
The skull had a long mouth and looked at Hale with empty eyes with a terrifying expression.
Although he was very scared, Hall knew that it was just a dead thing, and he didn't pay much attention to it.
But when he looked around, he realized that there was not just one skeleton here, but about a dozen.
The bones all have the same characteristic, that is, they are all fragmented, and none of them are whole.
Hall thought to himself that this was really a dangerous place, not to mention the strange thing that happened just now, and so many people died here, I don't know what happened to that kid just now?
As soon as he thought of this, suddenly the little boy not far away really appeared.
However, unlike just now, this little kid no longer ran away, but walked towards Hall step by step.
There was no moon in the sky, only the cold wind roaring under the layers of dark clouds.
But the sky wasn't completely dark, but a little white.
The dim light reflected in the child's eyes, and it actually emitted a faint green light!
Hall shuddered and found that the child was staring straight at him with a pair of green eyes, radiating an icy chill.
Judging by its rickety body and slender fingers that are longer than the average human, this creature must not be human.
Hall's legs were weak, his whole body had no strength, and he couldn't run away if he wanted to, so he had to wave the short sword in his hand and shout weakly: "What the hell! Go away!"
The little monster hesitated, stopped, and then raised its head to the sky and let out a sound like a dog barking.
Then, the grass on all sides began to rattle.
Hall panicked and noticed a dozen dwarf figures scurrying out of the grass.
By the faint light of day, Hale knew what it was.
He silently said in his heart, "Cannibal goblins! And sixteen!"
