Chapter Twenty-Nine: The Wolf Moans on a Snowy Night
The little owl who heard the roar turned around and saw the huge body of the Yeti King standing upright, opening its big mouth to reveal its long and sharp teeth like ivory, and spitting out a big, red tongue.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey!" Rogge held the little furball trembling in his arms, looked up at the Yeti King who roared close to the entrance of the cave, and said, "Don't do this, at least find a way to solve the trouble!"
"I don't want to be eaten by the Great White Bear! No, no, no, no!" Lilith cried as she arched herself under Rog's armpit.
Rogge looked back at Catherine helplessly, pulled out the little owl and stuffed it into her, and said, "I don't think you want to be eaten, but fortunately I still have a few catties of meat on me!"
He left Catherine in the passage, took a cigar in his mouth and strode into the cave, stood at the entrance of the cave and looked up at the Snowman King who rushed to the front, raised one hand and shouted, "Hey, Snow Monster, it's not good to wake up angry, how about we talk?"
Without saying a word, the Snowman King raised a huge claw and slapped it on his head, Rog flashed to the left, and saw that the claw fell heavily to the ground, causing the mountain to shake for a while.
"Looks like it's not negotiable!"
He jumped up and slapped the snowman's paw that fell to the ground, and the Snowman King waved his hand violently to try to shake him away, but Rogge grabbed the long white hair on its hand, and with the inertia of the snowman's claw, he found an opportunity to let go of the hair and flew down, landing on the head of the Snowman King.
"Damn poor wretch, get off me!" the Snowman King roared frantically, his two huge front paws frantically scratching at his head.
Rog nimbly avoided the Yeti King's claws, grabbed the white hairs on its head and wrapped them around its claws, and soon the long hairs were entangled in everything, holding the Yeti King's claws firmly on its head.
"Now, maybe you can listen to me, you undressed haired monster!" said Rog, standing between the two hair-bound paws of the Yeti King, striking a match and lighting a cigar at the corner of his mouth.
The Snowman King roared angrily and shook his head vigorously in an attempt to shake Rogge off, but Rog clutched the hair on its head, and his body was as steady as a rock.
Suddenly, Catherine's exclamation came from the passage ahead, and Rogge's heart tightened, and he looked down to see Catherine and Lilith rushing out of the cave, the little owl flapping its wings and rushing into the sky, while Catherine ran all the way to the direction of the exit.
"What's going on?" Rogge looked in amazement in the direction they had fled, and with a roar of exasperation, a large group of snowmen swarmed out and chased in the direction where the two had fled.
"Oh my God, there's really nothing to talk about now!"
Rog turned and rushed to the back of the Yeti King, sliding from its back to the ground, just as he met Catherine running by, the girl pulled her silver handcuff from her waist as she ran, and was about to turn around and shoot, but Rog held down the barrel of her gun.
"Give me the gun!" Rog snatched the handcuff and pushed Catherine forward with the other.
The two continued to run forward one after the other, and the snowmen behind them rushed like a tide, and the snowman king also struggled to break free from the shackles of his hands, struggling to get up and catch up.
"Quick, run!" Rogge shouted to Catherine as he raised his silver handcuff, but instead of turning around to shoot the snowman, he aimed forward at Lilith in the sky and shot a silver bullet.
The frightened little owl shuddered when he saw a bullet slip past him, and looked back at Rogge, where he shouted, "Don't just run for your life, you little fool!"
Lilith glanced back at the menacing army of snowmen behind Rog and the huge snowman king, stunned for a moment, and finally recovered from her panic.
She flapped her wings and landed on the ground, turning into a delicate girl in a black feather coat and red dancing shoes, looking at Catherine and Rogge running towards her, and drawing a red hexagonal magic circle in front of her hands.
"Group Transfiguration!" As Lilith's eyes shone red, the light of the hexagonal magic array instantly projected onto Rog and Catherine's bodies, and the bodies of the two flashed in red light, turning into two small animals, one black and one white.
Lilith watched as they scurried past her, and she turned into a little owl and flew into the passage.
The three little guys rushed out of the cave as if they were flying, and when the snowmen pushed me and finally rushed out of the cave, the three of them had long since disappeared, and the snowman king roared angrily at the sky a few times, turned around and returned to the cave with the snowmen.
"It's so thrilling!" On the branch of a big tree near the entrance of the cave, the three of them couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief, Catherine, who had turned into a small white squirrel, looked down at her appearance, and smiled in amazement, "However, I find that I like the feeling of being an animal more and more." ”
"Maybe I'll introduce you to some witch and turn you into a little owl with a lot of mouths!"
Rogge, who was lying on the back of the little squirrel, said, looked down at himself, and suddenly turned back and stared at the little owl beside him with eerie eyes, and roared, "Lilith, explain to me, why did I become a shell?"
......
The three people who escaped from the snowman cave traveled northwest along the vast snowfield according to the direction calculated by Rogge, hoping to find the traces of the two men in black, but after walking all day, they did not find the slightest clue.
As night began to cover the snowfield, the three of them sat down in a low-lying snowfield to escape the cold night wind on the snowfield. Rogge took out the magic food and gave it to Catherine and Lilith, and the three of them ate a cold dinner on the pure white snow on the ground.
Although the depression was a safe haven, the cold of the surrounding snow in the night still made Catherine shiver, and she shrunk her body, trying to retain some warmth, but her body still felt a bitter cold.
"You can't go on like this, you're going to be frozen. ”
Rogge looked up at the moonlit night sky, looked back at Catherine, who was huddled in the snow with her arms and knees, and got up and said, "You wait for me here, I'll go find some firewood, and I must raise a bonfire to keep me warm." ”
He turned around and was about to leave, when Lilith jumped up from the ground and tried to follow, but he turned around and stopped: "Stay here, little one, stay here with Catherine, and I'll be back soon." With that, he strode out of the depression.
Little Lori pouted reluctantly, looked at his departing back, looked back at Catherine who was shivering in the snow, turned around and sat down opposite her, looked up at the clear night sky with her cheeks and muttered: "Today is the night of the full moon......"
Catherine subconsciously raised her head when she heard this, looking up at the starry sky, a bright full moon was rising into the sky, sprinkling the silver-white moonlight on the snowy land, bringing a dreamlike scene.
Two girls, one older and one younger, sat facing each other and hugged their knees, looking at the moon in the sky, silent, each thinking about their own thoughts.
A snowflake fell on Catherine's lap, attracting the girl's attention, and then she found more crystal clear snowflakes, and the snow fell from the quiet night sky, like pure white elves, scattered around her.
The quiet and beautiful scene in front of her made Catherine forget the cold around her for a while, and a hint of innocent smile appeared on the corner of her mouth, she reached out and gently caught a few snowflakes, and said to Lilith, "Hey, it's snowing!"
What she didn't expect was that when she withdrew her gaze to look at Lilith, she found that little Lori had disappeared at some point.
"Lilith?" Catherine looked up in surprise as she suddenly heard a long wolf howl echoing across the snowfield.
Catherine shuddered, and hurriedly got up from the ground, and was about to search for Lilith's whereabouts, when she suddenly noticed countless eyes shining with green fierce light in the darkness above the depression.
