Chapter 10: Farewell and Transmission

At night, there were no pedestrians on the streets of the town, except for patrolling militiamen and drunkards preparing for a hangover.

The crescent moon in the sky and the lights of the houses add a touch of fireworks to the small town of Kara.

In Uncle Gum's family's cottage, bright lights illuminate the whole house, making the whole house feel warm.

"The last course, the flaming pork chops, is here." A middle-aged woman with a slender figure and an apron carried a plate of fragrant pork chops that looked like excellent roast pork chops and placed them on a table full of dishes.

The woman who served the food was Uncle Gem's wife, Little Gem's mother, and Aunt Amisha.

Amisha sat down, wiped her hands dry from her apron, and hung them behind her chair

"Alright, let's start eating, Kane, you need to eat more."

As Amisha's words fell, the family couldn't wait to start moving the knife and fork.

Kane cut one of the most conspicuous staples on the table, the flaming pork chop that was served last, and put it in his mouth.

The familiar slightly spicy taste invades the mouth, like a flame floating through the mouth. The fat is overflowing, and the meat is fragrant.

"Auntie's cooking skills are still so good, she can go to be a chef in the palace"

Amisha on the other side laughed happily

"Kane's mouth is still like honey, so sweet, hahaha"

"Alright, tell us about your dungeon adventures. When I was younger, I always wanted to be an explorer, but I never had the opportunity, what a pity."

Uncle Gem, who has always been calm, can't wait.

"yes, tell me about your adventures" Little Gem had already put down his knife and fork, and it seemed that the meal he was expecting had lost its appeal at this time.

"Ahem" Kane cleared his throat and began to tell his family the story of his first adventure.

········

"In a burst of white mist, I returned to the wolf's lair I had before."

Kane's words fell, and today's dinner came to an end.

Little Gem's eyes widened, still silent in the adventure story he had just told.

Aunt Amisha had already gotten up and started to put away the dishes. Uncle Gem sat quietly on the throne with a glass of wine in his hand, pondering.

"You're leaving, isn't it, Kane?" said Uncle Gem quietly, fully aware of the appeal of the magic of the dungeon to young people.

Even though it comes with great risks, there are people rushing to it all the time.

Young people with dreams, middle-aged people with wild and unwilling status quo, and even some old people who want to fight.

Even when he was young, he was ready to go for a dash until he was hit by an arrow in the knee.

"Well, I want to see, to see the world, to see other races, to learn skills, to have power" to come to this game-like fantasy world.

Swords & Sorcery, Elves, Dwarves, Centaurs. These are the fantasy worlds of the past life that Kane wants to see after Kane successfully opens the system.

"Go, don't be bound by us, we shouldn't be your shackles, we should be family, we should lose all that is still there when you return" Uncle Gem tried to calm his voice as calmly as he could.

"Of course, you should send a letter home every month," Amisha said as she came out of the kitchen with red eyes, and she heard the conversation she had just heard.

"Of course, of course, I'm sure I'll write to you every month," Kane said happily, his family's support filled his heart with excitement.

Although they are not relatives in the sense of blood, they are better than real relatives.

"You go first, when I grow up, I'll definitely come to you for an adventure," Gem, who heard that Kane was going on an adventure, shouted out his own adventure declaration.

"Haha, no problem, little Gem, then you have to train hard, or I won't take you with me then," Kane laughed.

Uncle Gem was also relieved that his son had inherited his father's will.

Of course, Amisha was not so easy to speak, she stared at little Gem with wide eyes, "What did you say? You little rabbit, see if I don't teach you a good lesson today" After saying that, he went to the kitchen to look for weapons.

Little Gem screamed and began to try to escape, but was chased upstairs by Aunt Amisha with a wooden branch.

Uncle Gem walked over and placed a prepared bag of gold coins in Kane's pocket. patted him on the shoulder and said, "Go back and prepare, you're leaving tomorrow, aren't you?"

"What is this?" Kane wondered as he looked at the gold coin bag in his pocket

"This is your commission money for hunting that pack of wolves, okay, young man, don't grind and chirp, let's go, you still have a lot of things to prepare."

With that, he pushed Kane out the door.

"Goodbye, then, Uncle Gem, and goodbye to my aunt and them for me," Kane said helplessly, standing outside the door.

"Okay, no problem, goodbye boy" waved at Kane and closed the door.

Kane flipped the gold coin bag in his pocket, and sure enough, it weighed more than twice as much as 20 gold.

Walking slowly on the road, Kane never felt the crescent moon in the sky so warm.

By the window, Gem and Amisha watched as Kane disappeared into the night

"Are you really going to let him go the way of his parents?"

"He has adventurous blood in his veins, doesn't he, how can we stop the flow of his blood"

"He'll be safe, right?"

"Of course, he's better than everybody, isn't he?"

——————————

The sky was just dawning, and the sun had not yet hung over the horizon

Kane got up early, got dressed up, and put on his brand new hunting outfit. Bring a light bag and close the door.

Towards the future, steady progress

When I came to the camp again, it already looked like a construction site.

Everywhere there are buildings under construction, and workers come and go carrying construction materials.

Kane had even seen robot-like magical constructs, humanoid and inhuman.

Along the way, I dodged the rampant building materials and came to the outside of yesterday's office tent.

He shook the brass bell hanging next to him and waited quietly outside.

"Come in," Nando's calm voice revealed a hint of exhaustion.

Kane lifted the curtain and walked inside, still the same as yesterday. It's just that this time it was Nando who was writing the table, and the president was gone.

"Good day, Mr. Nando," Kane said politely.

Seeing that it was Kane, Nando was a little surprised

"Ready so soon, Mr. Kane"

Kane smiled, "I'll come back from time to time in the future, no need to say goodbye to life and death."

"Hahaha, Mr. Kane is so confident, of course I think so."

Nando laughed, then got up and walked over.

"Come with me, since you're ready, I hope you enjoy the feeling of teleportation"

With that, he led Kane towards the huge teleportation stone in the middle of the camp square.

Coming to the teleportation stone, he introduced Kane, "The blue border under the teleportation stone is the range of teleportation. If you accidentally touch this side while wearing it, you will be bounced off, although there is no danger to your life, but that feeling is not pleasant," Nando had a palpitating expression.

Kane was handed a bronze card with the emblem of the Mist Council engraved on it. Then Nando said

"The location of the teleportation is the glorious giant city of the border city-state 'Sokoyamas'. It is also known as the City of Lions, and when you get there, next to the teleportation stone is the Explorer's House, which is very conspicuous.

Go in with this card and the people inside will help you. Stand in there, and say when you're ready to teleport."

Kane carried a stick wrapped in strips of cloth on his back, took his luggage, and took a deep breath and stood inside.

"Are you ready?" Nando asked

"No problem, let's get started"

"Okay, then start teleporting," he said, gesturing to the controller next to him.

A blue light shot up into the sky, and Kane was no longer visible.
