Chapter 34: Meditation
Lu Qing said that he wanted to meditate, firstly, in order to stay in Zen Buddhism, and secondly, he really wanted to improve his spiritual realm.
Along the way, he has carried out physical cultivation, and has little contact with the spiritual and spiritual level, so his cognition and control of spiritual power are very immature, which causes him to be unable to control his leaking divine will.
Now that the spiritual treasure house of Zen Buddhism is in front of him, he naturally can't miss it.
You know, Zen Buddhism is the flag-bearer of idealism!
Not to mention others, the famous six ancestors of Zen Buddhism Huineng are the representatives of idealism.
There is a very classic example of Huineng's idealism:
From time to time, the wind blows.
A monk said that the wind moved, and a monk said that the flag moved.
There was a lot of talking.
Hui Neng said: Non-wind, non-flag-moving, benevolent heartbeat.
When the two little monks saw the wind blowing, one said that the wind was moving, and the other said that the flag was moving, but Huineng said: It's not the wind that is moving, it's not the wind that is moving, it's the heart that is moving.
That is, the reason why you see the flag moving is because you feel it is moving in your heart.
This is exactly the same as Wang Yangming's mental thoughts.
Wang Yangming believes that there is nothing outside the heart, and there is no reason outside the heart.
Someone once pointed to a flower and asked him: "There is nothing outside the heart in the world, so what does it matter to my heart that such flowers and trees bloom and fall spontaneously in the deep mountains?" ”
Wang Yangming replied: "When you don't look at this flower, this flower and you will die together." When you came to see this flower, the color of the flower was immediately understood. Then you know that this flower is not outside your heart. ”
It means that if you don't look at the flower, it doesn't matter if it doesn't open or not, only when you come to see the flower can you know whether it blooms or not, what color it is, so you have the flower in your heart so you can see the flower.
Idealism holds that the world originates from consciousness and that consciousness has primacy.
As the base camp of idealism, Zen Buddhism is naturally indispensable for the study of the mind and spirit.
After Lu Qing retreated outside the mountain gate, he found Yuanjing Zen Master as soon as possible, and expressed his hope very sincerely that he hoped to go to the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion to learn the essence of Buddhism and wash away the anger in his heart with Buddhism.
There are five floors in the Zen scripture pavilion, the first and second floors are all Buddhist scriptures, and the last three layers are martial arts secrets.
Lu Qing has no interest in martial arts cheats, and just wants to draw nutrients from the wisdom accumulated and precipitated by Zen Buddhism for thousands of years, and strengthen his spiritual realm to control his spiritual power.
He also explained this to Zen Master Yuanjing, saying that he would not covet the martial arts of Zen Buddhism, and only read Buddhist scriptures on the first and second floors.
Yuanjing agreed to Lu Qing without hesitation.
One is that he has a good impression of Lu Qing and knows that he is a person who does what he says.
The second is that he has seen Lu Qing's methods, and knows that his martial arts attainments have reached the extreme, and he will no longer covet other martial arts.
In this world, anyone who can practice martial arts to the extreme will have his own foundation and unique understanding, and any other martial arts will no longer be able to enter his eyes.
Lu Qing was also deeply moved when he saw that Zen Master Yuanjing trusted him so much, and at the same time admired his open-minded state of mind.
It is rare to see people in this world who can have such an open mind, and Yuanjing Zen Master is worthy of being the first seat of Zen Buddhism.
Lu Qing did not delay after obtaining the consent of Zen Master Yuanjing, and quickly entered the Tibetan Scripture Pavilion under the leadership of a small novice.
It's not as grand as others might think, it's not even spacious, and there are only a few paths left for people to move around, except for a few bookshelves.
Lu Qing first looked at it casually, there are not many books stored on this floor, they are basically Zen classics, including "Heart Sutra", "Diamond Sutra", "Lenga Sutra", "Lengyan Sutra", "Six Ancestors Altar Sutra" and so on.
Because Zen Buddhism pays attention to the heart of the heart, not falling into words, so there are not many text classics left here, in addition to the classics such as the "Heart Sutra" there are some annotations and codex of Zen monks in the past dynasties, it can be said that in addition to those things that can only be understood, the most essential things of Zen Buddhism are in this small room.
Lu Qing casually picked up a copy of the Heart Sutra and began to read it: Contemplating the Bodhisattva of Freedom, when he walked deep Prajnaparamita, he saw that the five aggregates were empty, and he would overcome all suffering......
Honestly, I don't understand.
His Buddhist cultivation is too low, and it is really difficult to directly flip through these obscure classics.
Lu Qing put the "Heart Sutra" in his hand in its original place, and then walked forward, and found a copy of the "Heart Sutra Notes" written by a certain Zen monk.
This is the eminent monk's commentary on the "Heart Sutra" and some of his own perceptions, and there are some more vivid examples, which are much easier to read than the "Heart Sutra" just now.
The original text of the "Heart Sutra" is not long, and the whole text is only more than 200 words, but this "Heart Sutra Commentary" has tens of thousands of words, but Lu Qing is much easier to read than the "Heart Sutra" of several hundred words.
The master who wrote this "Heart Sutra Commentary" is not only profound in Buddhism, and his explanation of the Heart Sutra is simple and simple, but also the words are humorous, not only not boring to read, but very joyful, just like listening to an elder after tea and dinner to give you some interesting stories about his youth.
Lu Qing was also fascinated by it at first glance, and especially liked some interesting and intriguing stories recorded in the book, and would also follow some guidelines in the book to think about the hidden philosophical logic behind the stories and some laws of world operation.
Unconsciously, this 10,000-word "Heart Sutra Commentary" was read by Lu Qing, and he had a general understanding of some of the ideas of Zen Buddhism in his heart, and he also had some superficial understanding of the "Heart Sutra".
Then he turned his head to read the original "Heart Sutra", and combined with the content of the "Heart Sutra Commentary", he could roughly understand it, but some of the obscure parts were still incomprehensible.
After noting down a few things he didn't understand, he began to look for some annotations on the Heart Sutra left by the monks of the past dynasties in the Scripture Pavilion.
Lu Qing, who was immersed in the book, completely forgot the passage of time, and by the time he finished reading the last commentary on the Heart Sutra on this floor, it was already night, he looked at the sky and said goodbye to the master who kept the scriptures, and then strolled back to his room.
After that, he didn't even eat dinner and began to practice the Human Immortal Alchemy Technique.
Although spiritual cultivation is very important, the cultivation of the physical body cannot be pulled down, after all, he must cultivate his blood vessels to the extreme within four years, otherwise it will be a dead end.
In addition to that, he also wanted to know if he would be able to enter that magical spirit world again.
Last time, it was only when he was completely immersed in the practice that he was able to enter that magical state of forgetting both things and himself, and this time he wanted to try it too.
After all, his perception of the spiritual world is like that of a newborn baby.
Only by constantly entering the spiritual world, constantly exploring, and constantly trying, can he have a deeper understanding of the spiritual world.
Moreover, after his consciousness entered the spiritual world, his body was still cultivating, and it would not delay the process of refining his body, which could be said to kill two birds with one stone.
