Chapter 30: The Summoning Stone

Tuno crept into the dead woods by the lake, stopping from time to time to look back, and seeing no sign of anyone following him, he walked straight ahead. His long purple cloak dragged a narrow path across the ground covered with dead leaves. His long gray hair swayed behind his head with his hurried footsteps. After walking for a while, he turned a corner. After a short walk, he stopped in front of a large dead tree, the trunk of which was estimated to be no fit for twenty men. The dead branches are tangled and entangled, showing a hideous posture, and at first glance, it looks like a garlic head.

Tuno touched the trunk with his hand, then circled around it, patrolling it as he went, until at last his gaze settled on a spot in the trunk. He stopped and tapped his hand five times on the spot. The intertwined dead branches began to writhe, and they gradually stretched out, eventually all branching in different directions, and none of the two knotted together. A large white bird whizzed out of the branches, and after circling the sky twice, he let out a cry of joy and landed in front of Tuno.

Tuno stepped forward, caressing the smooth feathers of the big bird, and tears were about to fall from his eyes. I remember the first time I followed my mother from the cold mountain to the depression, and it was this big bird who carried them from the ice pole to the temple of Ulla. They haven't used it since. Tuno had just turned six years old at the time, but as soon as he saw the big bird, he immediately fell in love with it and gave it a nice name, the red head. For the top of the bird's head was red. Tuno touched Redhead's head lovingly, and Redhead snorted happily.

"Redhead, after all these years, do you still know me?"

The red head arched Tuno's hand vigorously, which reminded Tuno of when he was a child, when they first met, the red head arched little Tuno's stomach vigorously with his head, arching him a big heel.

"Redhead, you're getting bigger again. When I'm done with a few more important things, I'll keep you with me and never let you go back to the Garlic Bucket Tree again, okay?"

Speaking of which, Tuno still can't shake off the sadness of being separated from the red head at that time. He begged his mother to give him the red head and not put him in the garlic bucket tree. But his mother told him that if he didn't put him in the garlic bucket tree, someone would take him away, and he would never see him again. Tuno could only cry as Redhead was imprisoned in a tree. Since then, Tuno has been busy with astrology and divination, laying out stones, doing his duty, and never having the chance to see the red head again. Tuno thought and patted Redhead on the back.

"Let's go, Redhead, let's go on a difficult task together. ”

So saying, he mounted on the back of the red head. With a long roar, they flew towards the well.

When he arrived at the mouth of the well, Tuno saw that the miasma door was well closed, and the entrance of the well was completely covered. He relieved himself and let Redhead stay at the edge of the cave, and opened the miasma door and walked towards the cave alone. He walked through the wells without hesitation, and did not stop until he passed through the fire gate. He jumped directly into the eighth well, but instead of being washed up in a mass grave like Dengke, he landed on a platform. There is no bottom below the platform, and above the platform is a circular dome. The dome was very vast, covered with stars, and seven different colors of light came in from its seven different directions, exactly at one point. There should have been a shining stone at that point, but now it wasn't there.

Tuno looked at the intersection of the seven colors of light in horror, hoping only that something was wrong with his eyes. He closed his eyes and slowly reopened them, but the stone was still not there. As he stood there in despair, unbelievable, a straw flew out of a low cavern attached to the back of the platform and pierced the back of Tuno's neck. Tuno felt a piercing pain, and he hurriedly pulled out the straw and turned to look, and a figure flashed out of the cave.

"Who?" said Tuno, whose face was pale and sweating rain.

The man gradually stepped out of the shadows, revealing a fat face. A sly light shot out of his small sparkling eyes, and a wicked smile curled into his thin lips. The cloak covered with Venus was draped behind him, and it looked very strange under the reflection of the seven kinds of light.

"Master, don't you even know your apprentice?" a deep voice echoed in the empty space.

Tuno's face turned blue in an instant, and his voice trembled, word by word.

"You...... How are you?"

"You're asking how I knew this, huh?" Guern smirked. "I said, you must not believe it. It was the island king himself who told me and my father. He also ......"

"You're lying!" Tunno yelled, holding back the gradual onset of poison on the straw and said stoically. "The Island King would never do that!"

"Don't get excited, old fellow. Hear me finish. Gunn had a very spirited look. "I have to tell you this, so that you can die with it, or you won't feel any pain at all. Not only did the island king tell us everything about the summoning stone, but he also told us to get rid of your entire family. ”

As if he had been stabbed in the heart, Tuno shook his body and did not fall down.

"No, Gwen, you can't fool me. I don't know why you're framing the Island King, but there's no way the Island King would do that. ”

"Humph!" said Gurne, flicking his cloak.

"Now it's time to ask your precious son Legus!

Tuno smiled calmly.

"Legus? what can he do. It is you who still hate him and make you lose your power. ”

Gunn's eyes narrowed into slits.

"You can think of it this way. But he was punished today, he offended the king of the island, and he made a prophecy that could not be forgiven. ”

Tuno's face was pale, but he was still calm.

"Then I want to hear what an unforgivable prophecy which I don't even know. ”

"You're going to have to hold on. Gurn shook his head and said:

"He prophesied that the heirs of the Light Stygian Stone had returned, that the world would eventually be black, and that this trend would be irreversible, and that we were doomed. Hahaha, what a ridiculous prophecy, no wonder the island king was furious because of this, and immediately ordered to kill Legus and your family. ”

Tuno's face darkened when he heard this, and he didn't believe that Legus would make such a prediction.

"No! It's a rumor, it's you who want to frame Legus to make up such an unforgivable prophecy and press it on him. It's you! The king of the island has also been deceived by you! You two ......" Tuno only felt his heart hot, and a mouthful of blood spurted out.

"Humph!" Gurn ducked aside in disgust. "We can't make up such a creative prophecy, but it does come from the mouth of your extraordinary son. The Island King was so powerful that he soon learned that he was disappointed in you, so he gave us the mysterious task of building the summoning stone. ”

"No, no, no!" Tuno staggered back, his eyes glazed over.

"I have one more bad news that I haven't told you. I, Gern, am no longer the same Gwen I used to be!" Gern puffed up his chest and said energetically, "The Island King has given me powerful mana and asked me to continue refining the summoning stone. However, he said that mana alone is not enough, and that I must become a descendant of the stars to make summoning stones. I didn't expect you to take the initiative to ask me to succeed to the throne, what a godsend. When I have built the summoning stone, and the temple of Ulla has been built, my father and I will gain powerful mana to become the god of Ulla and fly to the white world. What a glorious feat, and the King of the Island will surely give us an unprecedented reward. He will make us real Xiandao people!"

"Why did you take the summoning stone?" Tuno asked suddenly.

"It was taken by the Island King, and he wants to check if it is infused with impurities. Gurn tilted his neck and glared at Tuno, deliberately holding the two words of impurities very long.

"You're a junior, you know, a pure impurity!" said Tuno's eyes turned fiery red, and his long, messy hair swayed like tentacles.

"What do you want to do? You old fellow, do you want to resist if you get poisoned?" said Gunn as he drew a sword that glowed yellow from his waist. "Why don't you learn from your beautiful wife, and be willing to follow the people of Xiandao, maybe you can be spared. ”

Hearing this, Tuno couldn't take it anymore. "Ah!" he cried, turning snow-white. "I'm going to kill you!" he said, he stretched out his hands and rushed towards Tourn, Gurn retreated in fright, Tunno pressed reluctantly, and was about to choke him by the neck with his cold hands, Gurn was terrified for a moment, and in a panic he pierced Tunno's chest with a sword. Blue blood gushed out and fell to the ground. Tuno couldn't hold it anymore, and he grabbed the blade and swayed towards the edge of the platform. Guern quickly let go of his hand and watched as Tuno fell into the abyss.
