Chapter 511: Dark Death Squad

"Bad news indeed," Rogge said, shrugging his shoulders, "but it's not surprising, the Dark Hills themselves are home to a large number of dark creatures, and many of them are second to or even higher than the Cursed Lands, because they are all tainted by dark magic, and there are more adventurers left in the Dark Hills than in the Swamp of Death." "No, it's different!" Antonio denied without hesitation: "It's not what you think, the soldiers I sent were not killed by monsters, in fact, according to the god of lights, as soon as they passed through the dimensional passage and stepped onto the dark hills, they quickly disappeared. ā€

"What?" Rogge stared at Antonio in surprise, and Catherine, who was beside him, also widened her eyes in surprise, and was incredulous at Antonio's words, only to hear the Knight Commander continue: "Fortunately, we didn't send the two regiments directly, otherwise we would have suffered heavy losses." ā€

Rogge nodded meaningfully, took out his pipe and lit it, stood up, and paced back and forth with his pipe in the council chamber, when suddenly he turned back and asked, "We can now conclude that this is William's defense, but we don't know how he did it, we need to scratch our tongues." ā€

"Who can catch it, no one can settle there. Antonio said as he lay his hands into fists on the table and stared at him with a furrowed brow.

"The lamp god maybe, he is a void spirit and should not be affected in the same way as mortals. Rogge walked over to the table, leaned forward with his hand on the table, and said to Antonio.

"No," Tali shook her head with a worried face, "It's not that the Lantern God hasn't tried, he once tried to save a soldier, but he didn't succeed, even his own body that poked out of the dimensional gate dissipated instantly, fortunately he won't die, otherwise we would have lost him." ā€

"Damn William!" Rogge slammed on the table in annoyance, turned around and muttered.

"I have an idea, I don't know if it's feasible......" Catherine, who had been listening silently, suddenly said tentatively.

Everyone else looked at the girl's face, and Catherine continued, "We have Monica, Miss Tully, and Captain Antonio, and we can load the triple magic shield at the same time, if a person enters the dark hills with these triple shields, I wonder if they can resist William's attack?"

"Maybe that's the way to go. Antonio bowed his head slightly in agreement, Rogge bowed his head and pondered for a moment, and said to the three of them: "That's it, I'll be the one who opens the way." ā€

"That's not going to work!" Tali worriedly stretched out a hand to hold his hand and advised, "We don't know how certain this is, in case of any accidents to you, we can't afford such a loss!"

"Don't worry, my dear Miss Mermaid," Rogge smiled and took out his hand and touched the back of her delicate hand, "You have forgotten who I am, the Demon Stone has not been able to kill me, and William will not let me out of the dimensional passage." ā€

"We can't let you go alone," Antonio resolutely got up and said, "I'll go with you, no matter what, I'm the representative of the Empire, everything we do is for the Empire, I can't let you go on an adventure alone, and shrink back as a spectator." ā€

"The head of the regiment is always so righteous," Rogge smiled and looked at the two worried girls beside him and said, "I know that the girls also have the heart to go with them, but I have to say, let's let the men go first, if it doesn't work, someone has to find William for revenge!"

Catherine and Tali looked at the cynical smiles on his face, barely suppressing their worries, and Tali summoned the lamp god to open the dimensional passage to the dark hills, and several people slipped into the dimensional passage together.

At the exit on the dark hilly side of the Dimensional Passage, Tali and Monica cast a spell to cast the strongest level of magic shields on Rogge and Antonio, and Antonio activated the divine shield to protect himself and Rogge at the same time, and after making sure that they were fully prepared, the two jumped out of the dimensional gate side by side.

When Rogge and Antonio's feet stepped on the dark and dark land, an invisible powerful magic force instantly pressed on the two of them, only to hear the sound of a magic shield bursting, the three-layer magic shield on the two of them instantly shattered, and Tali and Catherine in the dimensional passage couldn't help but scream in unison.

"Hey, this is the territory of the bad wolf, you old friend?" said the little furball hidden in the hood of Rog's black cloak and crept out of the hat.

Rog and Antonio glanced at each other, then looked back at the two frightened girls in the dimensional gate behind them, Catherine and Tali looked at them dumbfounded, the shields on their bodies had been completely shattered, but their bodies were not damaged in the slightest.

"What's going on?" Rogge looked down at his hand and turned back to Antonio, "Why aren't we attacked?"

"Can you try the situation here?" Antonio shouted back to the god of lights.

Hearing this, the lantern god floated out from the dimensional gate, and just stabilized his body beside the two, and the "swish" dissipated like a blown mist, he regathered in the dimensional passage and waved his hand to the two and said, "No, it's the same as before, nothing has changed!"

"That's weird. Rogge reached out and grabbed the little furball that jumped on his shoulder, shook it, and said, "Not only are the two of us unaffected, but the little villain is not affected either, what's going on?"

"Because I'm the most powerful bird, you'll be fine with me!" the little furball cried as he flapped his wings proudly.

"Narcissistic little things. Rog rolled his eyes at her, dropped her on his shoulder, and turned back to Tali and Catherine, "You go back and wait for us first, let the lamp god stay and watch the dimensional passage, and we will go and catch a tongue and come back!"

The two of them left the dimensional gate with the little furball, and stepped on the dark black earth of the dark hills exuding dark magic, and entered the gloomy forest, all the trees were grayish-brown, there was not the slightest green on the leaves, and even the flowers were gray like sketches.

Several crows stood in the treetops and chirped like a mournful cry, and Rog and Antonio carefully walked through the silent and dark jungle, not knowing the situation here, Rog did not send the little furball to explore the way, fearing that the monsters living here would pose a threat to her.

Suddenly, a blackened river appeared in front of them, and a crouching monster caught the attention of the two, and they saw that the monster with its back to them had a pair of huge brown wings, which looked like a human being, but its legs were like the claws of a vulture.

"Little villain, help us catch her," Rog whispered back to Little Furball, "If I'm not mistaken, it's supposed to be a harpy, and we should be able to get something out of her mouth." ā€

The little fur racket flapped its wings into the air, and Rog and Antonio tiptoed in the direction of the monster, and when they were ten steps away from the monster, the monster seemed to hear the noise, and turned its head sharply to reveal a fierce woman's face, and when it saw the two of them, it spread its wings and soared into the air.

"Catch her!" Rogge shouted, the little furball that had been waiting in the air shot two immobilized beams of light with his eyes, and Antonio threw a holy warhammer that hit the Harpy's body and knocked her to the ground.

The harpy who fell by the river struggled to get up, but Rogge quickly pounced and pushed her to the ground, and the winged blade in her hand went straight to her throat and said, "If you don't want to die, don't resist, we just want to ask you about something, and we won't hurt you." ā€

The harpy bared the sharp steel teeth in her mouth, hesitated for a moment but stopped resisting, Antonio stepped forward and looked at her and asked, "Tell us, why did anyone come to the dark hills and be torn to pieces in an instant?

The Harpy seemed to understand him, and with a sly smile, she muttered something in a demonic language that resembled vampire language, and when she finished, Antonio pointed a puzzled gaze at Rog.

"What she probably meant was that William had set up a kind of barrier in the Dark Hills," Rogge explained to Antonio, "and it would break up any person or creature who trespassed into the Dark Hills." ā€

"Why aren't you affected?" asked Antonio, looking at the vicious smile on the harpy's face.

"Because that barrier only works against non-dark creatures," said the Harpy's sly gaze sweeping across the faces of Rog and Antonio, "The creatures of the Dark Hills all have dark powers in them, and the dark wizards of the Shadow Fortress are no exception!"

"You mean that we weren't killed because we had dark forces in us?" Antonio said with a surprised frown.

"Yes," said the harpy, glancing at the little furball on Rog's shoulder, "I can smell the dark magic from that owl, and your ......"

She stared at her holding her hostage and said, "A nocturnal creature breath, you're not a race that lives under the sun like a vampire, what are you?" I can probably guess, though I'm not quite sure yet. ā€

"That's enough, forget your guesses!" Rog pressed her neck menacingly with his winged blade, and the harpy withdrew her gaze from his face and turned back to Antonio, "And you, you are even more strange, I can feel the powerful divine power, but there is a dark power mixed in it, what a strange contradiction!"

Rogge and Antonio subconsciously exchanged glances when they heard this, they understood where the dark power in Antonio's body mentioned by the Harpy came from, it came from the ghost king's soul power leaked from the second holy weapon, the white jade staff, which had obviously invaded Antonio's body and caused a permanent impact.

"One last question," Rog said as he looked down at the Harpy with a cold gaze, "Is there any way to avoid being affected by the enchantment?"
