Chapter 19: Kings and Queens

"These birds... They can't just be used for decoration. Hermione said.

"Twinkle, not a bird... They are all keys. Shelley looked down at the broomsticks in front of him.

"There are so many different keys, we need the right one!" Hermione pondered.

"The door looks old, so we had to find an equally antique key, probably silver, shaped like a doorknob." Shelley looked at the keyhole on the door: "This level is about observation, and... Broomsticks. ”

"I guess in addition to Professor Flitwick, the flight teacher, Professor Huo Qi, also arranged this level together."

"Makes sense, Hermione."

The two of them each chose a broomstick and flew into the sky, searching for it among the keys.

"That one!" Hermione spotted the target.

"Let's block it!" Shelley flew in front of that key.

Hermione flew towards the key from the other side.

The silver key flew towards the top of the key.

Hermione hurried up, Shelley following closely.

As a result, they almost bumped into each other.

After a lot of effort, Hermione luckily managed to get the key.

Originally, Shelley persevered in chasing after her, but the key fell headlong into Hermione's hands.

"Did Professor Flitwick's magic fail?"

"These keys can't all have their own consciousness, they just follow the magic to make a fixed way of circumvention, I just watched these carefully." Hermione explained.

"Let's try it, then."

They descended to the ground and tried to use the key, which matched the appearance of the key, to open the enchanted door.

"It worked!" Shelley and Hermione said in unison.

They made their way to the next room.

It was pitch black inside, and nothing could be seen. But as soon as they stepped inside, the room suddenly became brightly lit, illuminating a shocking scene.

They stood on the edge of a huge chessboard, in front of which were black pieces, all taller than them, carved out of what looked like black stone.

At the other end of the room, facing them, were white chess pieces.

Those towering white chess pieces have no facial features on their faces.

Hermione subconsciously grabbed Shelley's arm, looking a little scared.

She let go of her hand again and whispered, "What are we going to do?" ”

"Play chess." Shelley replied.

"Do you want to replace two chess pieces?"

"It seems like yes, then...... I will be the king, you will be the queen. ”

Hermione looked blushing slightly.

Shelley smiled and said, "Don't change it again... You will be the king, I will be the queen...... Because the king was the last to die. ”

"It's not all a couple yet." Hermione muttered.

"What?" Shelley didn't hear clearly.

The pieces seemed to be listening to them, and the king and queen turned around, turned their backs to the white pieces, and stepped out of the board, leaving two empty seats for Shelley and Hermione.

They took their positions, and Shelley said seriously, "Don't worry, I'm going to win." ”

A white soldier moves forward two squares.

Shelley calmly commanded the black chess pieces.

Every time their pieces are captured, the white pieces are ruthless and merciless.

One by one, the pieces were broken.

"It's too cruel!" Hermione said.

"I can't help it." Shelley shrugged.

Little by little, time passed.

"Alright, it worked!" Shelley commanded the black pawns and smashed the white king. "Let's go to the next level."

"It's good to play chess."

"Thanks for the compliment."

"Wait, let's put on the invisibility cloak first." Shelley grabbed Hermione.

"Well, be careful." Hermione replied.

After all, there's a dangerous troll in the next level, Shelley thought.
