Chapter 224: The Devil Who Hunts the Devil
"Stupid wolf, if you go through the front door, you will definitely be bitten off by the vampire!" said the little furball with disdain.
"Trust me, they won't know I'm here!" Rogge smiled unhurriedly, strode to the door, and squeezed through the wide crack between the stone door and the door frame, which was empty except for a spiral staircase that remained quietly in the corner of the hall
Rog asked Lilith to turn herself back to her original form, and then carefully opened the door a crack to let her in, and he smiled proudly at the little furball: "See, this is the importance of slimness to a thief, a little fat ball like you can't do it at all!"
"I'm not a little fat ball, I'm the slimmest bird!" the little furball slapped his round belly with his wings and screamed, but he heard a hungry grunt from his stomach.
"Now shut up, little fool, if you don't want to be eaten by vampires!" Rog tapped on Lilith's eagle beak and crept up the spiral staircase with Lilith, tracking the vampire breath left in the air to the second floor of the Ghost Tower.
"The aura here is very weak, he shouldn't be on this level. Rogge turned back to Lilith.
He carefully pushed open the stone door of the corridor on the second floor, looked into the corridor, and saw a narrow corridor without any lights, Rogge dodged in lightly, and advanced against the wall on one side of the corridor, faintly hearing sobs coming from the corridor in front of him.
He turned the corner of the corridor and suddenly saw that the corridor was illuminated by a dazzling light, and the walls on both sides of the corridor emitted a faint blue light.
"See? These are the people who were killed, all the poor. Rog glanced at the ragged garments of the spirits, who were dressed the same way they had been when they died, unkempt and tattered.
"What are we going to do, kill them?" asked the little furball hesitantly.
"No, we're going to let them go, and let them go back to heaven and escape the vampires. Rogge shook his head slowly.
"Sir, are you the Grim Reaper?" a sudden childish voice came from behind Rogge, who looked back at the ghost girl behind him behind the wall of light, and heard her ask, "Or, are you an angel?"
"I'm neither, I'm a demon hunter. Rogge turned and crouched down in front of the wall of light and stared at her.
"Can you help us? The devils have killed us and imprisoned our souls here, and Mom and Dad said that good people should go to heaven when they die, and I have done nothing bad, so why can't I go to heaven?" said the girl with a sad expression.
"Of course, of course you can, and I will open the door to heaven for you. Rogge replied solemnly.
"Really, then you must have been sent by an angel!" said the maiden, looking wistfully.
"Trust me, I'll let you out of here!" Rog nodded to her, got up and returned to the doorway of the hallway, and when he stepped out of the stone door, Lilith put his shoulder on his shoulder and asked, "What are we doing now?"
Before Rog could reply, there was a sudden sound of soft footsteps above the spiral staircase in front of him.
Rog ducked back into the door, he pressed against the door panel and carefully peered out through the crack in the door, and saw Earl Kane walking down the stairs with graceful steps, and when he reached the door, he suddenly stopped and glanced at the door where Rogge was hiding.
Rogge stood still, calmly listening to his movements, and Earl Kane stared at the door for a moment, then turned and continued down the stairs, and after a few moments, Rogge heard the sound of the stone door opening and closing.
"Come on, little one, let's go up and have a look!" Rogge dodged out of the door and went up the stairs, following the scent of Earl Kane as he left along the way, to a stone door on the top floor.
He carefully put his ear to the door and listened for a while, there was silence inside, Rogge gently pushed open the stone door, looked through the crack in the door, and saw an empty stone room, in which there were beautifully made cabinets and sofas, and the floor was covered with a blood-red carpet, like the study of a noble house.
"Very well, it seems that we have found the Earl's room!" Rog strode into the room, closed the door and scanned the room, he came to the coffee table in front of the sofa, leaned over and picked up a piece of paper with handwriting written on it, and saw that the order of the vampire princess Elizabeth was written in blood script.
"It was Elizabeth's order, she asked Kane to collect all the souls of the dead, transform them all into evil spirits, and use this 10,000-strong evil spirit army to cooperate with the Duke of York's ghoul army to assist Elizabeth's secret weapon to launch an attack on the Dragon Bluff and seize the holy weapon. ”
Speaking of this, Rogge couldn't help frowning, and said to himself, "What will Elizabeth's secret weapon be?
He put the order back on the coffee table as it was, walked to the other cupboards and opened the cupboards to check the contents, and when he saw a large piece hanging in the large closet, he suddenly had a plan, turned back to Lilith and smiled, "Let's play a game!"
A moment later, the Earl of Kane walked down the spiral staircase back to the top of the tower, he had just asked the Scout Commander about the Duke of York, who said that the scout he had sent had not yet heard from him.
The Earl of Kane had no choice but to report to Elizabeth with his mind and ask her if she wanted to start transforming the evil spirits now, and Elizabeth ordered him to start the transformation now, while continuing to send people to inquire about the Duke of York.
The Earl of Kane ordered the Scout Commander to report to him immediately if there was any news from the Duke of York, and then returned to the Tower of Spirits, where he pushed open the door to his room and saw a man in a dark red coat standing with his back to him.
"Who are you, and how did you get in?" asked Earl Kane, surprised.
"Monsieur Count, haven't you been looking for me?" replied the other man in his majestic and old voice, instead of looking back.
"The voice ......," the Earl of Kane was stunned for a moment, and asked, "Lord Duke of York?"
"Yes, it's me, I'm glad I can see you here, Mr. Earl!" said the Duke of York, and suddenly fell to the ground with his chest crooked, and the Earl of Kane was taken aback, and hurriedly stepped forward to help him up and asked, "Lord Duke, what's wrong with you?"
"Lord Duke has been killed by a lone wolf, and now he's here to kill you!" the Duke of York jerked his head up, revealing Rogge's sly face, he grabbed Earl Kane's neck and rolled over from the ground, pulled out his silver sword and stabbed Earl Kane's abdomen, Earl Kane instantly turned to ashes, leaving only his dark red high-necked robe scattered on the ground.
"Say hello to the Duke on my behalf!" said Rogge, putting away his silver sword and smiling at the robes on the ground.
"Well, I'm pretty good at learning the old duke's voice, right?" said Rogge, looking back at the little furball hidden in the big closet.
"Huh, big liar!" said the little furball sneered as he tilted his little head.
"Well, you're right, I'm a good person, except for smoking a cigar, drinking some wine, making a fool of myself in the casino, and cheating drunkards out of money in taverns!" Rogge smirked.
"Why do I think this sounds so familiar?" said the little furball with a frown.
Rogge didn't answer her words, crouched down in front of the robe left by Earl Kane, lifted the robe to search for the items he had left behind, and first found the soul crystal ball sealed with the screaming ghost, and when he was playing with it, the little furball swooped down and landed beside him.
She turned into a little Lori and snatched the crystal ball, and Rogge turned around and shouted, "Hey, what are you doing, don't let this thing out, it will attract all the vampires around!"
"I won't let it out now, how can I be as stupid as you!" Little Lori glanced at him, held the crystal ball in both hands and looked at the white ghost inside and said, "I want to keep it, and it will be mine in the future!"
"What are you doing with it?" asked Rogge, surprised.
"This little unlucky little bastard is so pitiful, it was scolded and beaten by the bad earl, and I want to keep it around!" said Lilith, holding the crystal ball in her arms.
"Why do I think it's worse to be with you than with the Bad Earl?" said Rog as he squinted at Lilith.
Little Lori pursed her lips and looked back at him with hostile eyes, threatening: "Believe it or not, I'll release it now!"
"I was wrong, my little princess, you are a great man, forgive your sins!" Rogge pretended to bow to her, and Lilith turned around and looked down to tease the little ghost in the crystal ball, and Rogge continued to rummage through his robe and found a T-shaped crystal from his robe.
"I thought it was the key to open the prison door. Rog got up and said to Lilith, "Come, let's go free the imprisoned undead and leave here to join Antonio!"
The two descended the spiral staircase, inserting crystals into the recess next to the hallway door as they went, and the glowing wall of the hallway vanished, and the ghosts walked out of their cells in trepidation.
"Come, go back to where you belong, to Heaven, and no one will restrict your freedom anymore!" Rog shouted at the ghosts, who thanked them in unison, and burst out of the four walls of the Ghost Tower, into the night sky, and disappeared without a trace.
"We should go too!" After freeing all the ghosts, Rog left the Ghost Tower with Lilith, and when they flew into the air, they saw the ghost of a young girl floating in the air, looking down in the direction of the Spirit Tower for a long time.
Rog let Lilith fly to her and beckoned to her, "What are you looking for?"
The girl's ghost stared at them for a while, seemed to recognize him, and said in surprise: "Sure enough, you must be an apostle of angels, I am waiting for you to come out, I hope you will not suffer bad luck for saving us, thank you gods!"
"Thank you, dear, go ahead, you're not going to catch up!" Rogge said with a wave of his hand at her.
"Goodbye, sir!" the girl's ghost smiled, and dissipated into the night sky.
"Goodbye, my child, though I am not an apostle of angels, I am only a devil who hunts devils......" Rogge muttered meaningfully as he watched the girl disappear into the sky.
Before he could finish speaking, he suddenly heard a roar from the valley in the distance, and Rog looked back in the direction from which the sound came from, and saw a behemoth rising from the valley.
